Otis is a 4-5 year old, energetic, Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He is very sweet, and loves his booty rubs. He’s been through 3 homes, and needs to find his forever one! He needs a big back yard, someone who will take him on all the walks, and all the patience you have to offer. He is good about going outside, he’s good with other animals, but he likes to get into whatever mischief he can. As long as he has plenty of chew toys, he’s good to go! I recently got a new and more time demanding job and just don’t have the time anymore, unfortunately.

Meet Dak! He is a fun loving one year old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy. Yes, at one year of age he is approximately 90 lbs (and still growing!) but all sweet puppy at heart. He loves to run and play, including wrestling with other dog friends of similar size and energy. As a puppy, he needs a regular chance to stretch his legs and get his wiggles out but he is also very good in a crate and loves snuggle time with his humans too. Because he is young and doesn't really know his size he will do best in a home with older or no kids. He'd love to have a canine buddy to play with but doesn't require it if his family is happy to provide exercise and stimulation. Ridgebacks are handsome hunting sight and scent hounds, specially bred to hunt lions in Africa. True to his breed, Dak is smart, fast, strong and will do best with a prepared handler. To help with that, his adopter will also receive several free training sessions with him and his trainer before Dak goes to his new home. Please note, Dak is not yet neutered as his vet recommended (while he finishes growing) but a commitment to neuter is required and the cost will be covered by his adoption fee. Summer was born approximately on July 7th 2021. She was found as a stray with open wounds on her legs and feet. Her owners were never found. She spent some time healing at a foster home and she did great. Friendly with people and children. Loved spending time with the family and snuggling and playing with them. She has been at the facility for some time now all healed and working on manners. She is improving her leash training and learning not to jump. She knows sit and understands the command NO. I love doing zoomies in the yard and spending time outdoors. She has made some friends at the facility. Slow introductions would be recommended. Harleigh is being returned to our rescue for the THIRD time, this time after almost a year and a half. We traced her microchip when we first rescued her and found she'd been in atleast TWO homes prior to us.  She is a WONDERFUL GIRL, just needs a specific type of home for her own comfort.  Harleigh is 6.5 years old and weighs 70lbs.  She is friendly with other animals BUT she does NOT like SHARING A HOME (or her humans) with other pets. She needs to be an ONLY PET.   She would play with multuple other dogs in boarding with no issues, but she did become jealous and growl if she was getting attention and another dog came trying to get in on her time.  Kids. She is kid friendly BUT kids being kids, running around, loud etc... makes her uncomfortable and she wants far away SO bigger or calm children if any are best. Just for her own comfort and sanity.  She's not an old girl by any means, but she much prefers the "retirement home type" living situation.   Harleigh is very chill and extremely loving and well behaved. She doesn't require long walks or anything crazy. She would much rather be at home napping with her humans close by than out playing ball or running a marathon.  She literally just wants a quiet home, a soft bed and a human or two to love.... it can't be that hard to find.... surely someone knows someone, or has parents, or even grandparents who could use a companion with four paws and a huge heart to love! ##981112##

Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.   Additionally for CATS you  may email  JShelton@eulesstx.gov and for DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com       Meet our newest Luke.  This Rhodesian Ridgeback/Blackmouth Cur mix is a big boy who found himself at the shelter when his owner passed away.   There was no family to step up for Luke, so he is stuck at the pound.  This is so sad and unfair for a dog who does not understand why he is now homeless or where his beloved owner has gone. Luke loves people and always has a big smile on his face.   He has shown no aggression to other dogs and appears to be very genial to others. Luke walks well on a leash and we think he is potty trained. Luke is a good looking dog, but at 95 pounds, could use to lose about 10 pounds.   He would be a great dog for someone wants a dog who is already trained to be a great companion.   He is neutered and up to date on shots. Willow is a 4.5 year old Catahoula Mix. Her birthday is approximately May 23, 2018. She is the sweetest, most loving dog to humans. She's empathetic and caring; She'll lick the tears off of your face when you're sad. She adores children and considers it her mission to keep them safe and happy. Tug-of-war is her favorite game in the world, although fetch is a close second. Her favorite toys are carrot shaped because she chewed on carrots as a puppy and grew an attachment (don't worry, some starter carrot toys will come with her). Willow has canine mega-esophagus, which means she needs either wet food or soaked kibble that she eats in her doggy high chair that she'll back herself up into at dinner time because she knows that's how she gets her food. She's reactive so when she gets over-stimulated, she gets aggressive with other animals(mainly other dogs) so she needs a home where it can be just her and her humans, with no other animals on the ground with her that she can reach. She's incredibly smart and learns tricks quickly. She knows all of the standards like sit, lay down, stay, heel, gentle, etc. She'll adorably paw at you when she wants pets. She's the perfect companion for the right furever home. Hello! Nice to meet you! My name is Latte; I’m a 5 year-old Catahoula mix, weighing about 100 pounds. I’m pretty true to my breed: sweet, intelligent, loyal and don't really like negotiating too much. I need exercise and stimulation - but once I get that I am a couch potato just wanting to be around my people. I love car rides (especially going to Starbucks and getting puppuccinos) ! I love long walks where I can explore (I'm not a huge fan of buses and Amazon trucks but I am working on that). My real favorites, however, are treats, belly rubs, and hugs. I'll even show you a few tricks (I know how to sit and shake) if you give me a treat! I walk with my dog friends all the time with no issues, but I love my people so much that I prefer to be the only pet in the home.  My trainer (yep… I’ve got a pro trainer!) says since I am a confident dog, and small quick movements don't scare me I would be great around kids! I would always like a meet and greet first of course. I’d like to be with someone experienced with my breed, and willing to give me a bit of time to let me show them just how great of a dog I really am! I just need to settle in, adjust and get to know and trust you -  but once I do… I’ll give you SO much love. Please give me that chance! I’m working hard in my training to be the best dog I can be for you. My trainer said that, as part of the training program, he’ll even continue to work with my forever family at no cost (as long as you live in the DFW area). He loves and trusts me that much!  I can't wait to meet you!
