Story
I rescued Tamale while on a fishing trip at Punta Banda, Baja Mexico near Ensenada. She had been abandoned there many weeks prior my arrival and was extremely skinny. I fed her two tamales and after took her home. My main dog established his dominance and they do well together. She stays outside in a dwelling below the house. Through a series of daily raw beef bones and good diet and she has recovered amazingly and is quite strong and active. She is not house trained but learns quickly. She loves to run, hunt and play fetch. She is very friendly to everyone including kids. She doesn't bark much as some dogs do. She weighs appropriately 115lbs and her estimate age is 1 year. As a result of a financial crisis and a new work position requiring frequent travel forces me to put her up for adoption. She has not been vaccinated and has not seen a doctor due to my finances. I believe she is not fixed. She's a beautiful German Rottweiler that deserves a good owner and family to share her love.

Story
How this pet arrived:Leroy was brought in by his previous owner on March 27,2026. Why this pet is the one for you: Leroy is a sweet and gentle soul who is learning to take on the world one step at a time. He can be a little reserved when first meeting new people, but with a calm approach and a bit of patience, he begins to relax and show his true personality. In his day-to-day routine, Leroy has shown that he can build positive, trusting relationships and enjoys the company of familiar people. He's a thoughtful dog who does best with gentle handling and a supportive environment where he can continue to grow his confidence. Leroy is looking for a home that will celebrate his progress and give him the time he needs to feel safe and secure. A behavior consultation with a qualified behavior trainer will be required to support Leroy's transition and continued development in the home. In return for your patience, understanding, and the time you invest in helping him grow, Leroy will reward you with deep loyalty, gentle affection, and a quiet kind of companionship that makes every small moment feel special. If you'd like to meet Leroy, speak with our team today! At SDHS:Leroy has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Leroy is now ready for adoption! Story
Rocky is a Rottweiler Mix, his estimated date of birth is 2/7/12 and he weighs 75 lbs. He is up to date on all of his shots and he is fixed. Rocky is OK with people but is not good with kids, cats, or small dogs. Rocky has a habit of jumping and he has a tendency to try to escape so he would need a home that was very secure. Rocky has food aggression and is very possessive of toys and people. He can sometimes have an over protective drive to certain people.  Rocky can be very vocal and would require a home with a lot of space as Rocky prefers to roam and would become destructive if restricted in a small space. Rocky is not good with new people or places and can be aggressive to other male dogs. He requires regular grooming and requires a special diet. Rocky is afraid of water and can become agitated by running water or large areas of water. He has a habit of dumping out his water dish. Rocky is not good on a leash despite repeated training and still has issues with house training and marking. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently.
