Story
I’m a 5-year-old Rottweiler, about 75 lbs, and my story is a tough one. My owner left me at a boarding kennel and never came back. It’s been almost 3 years now that I’ve been waiting behind these same walls, hoping someone would give me a second chance. Despite everything, I’m still a sweet soul who just wants love, kindness, and a home to call my own. I have found a rescue (The Heroic Tail) that will help me. They will do my adoption and provide free training if needed. They just want to see me out of the kennels and in a loving home. If you would like to meet me please apply on the website or message them with questions about me.October 5, 2025, 7:51 pm

Story
How this pet arrived: Rhyme was brought in by a community member. Why Rhyme might be the one for you: There is simply no rhyme or reason that this Rhyme should not be in someone's home being a very important family member. This Rhyme is gorgeous with her black brindle coat and fancy white vest. Rhyme will likely be true to her type, which means she will be very loyal to her family, she will be confident and very smart. She may start off shy as she checks out her new family but as soon as she knows that she is part of the family, she will be affectionate and oh, so protective of them. She is the epitome of a family dog. Being both big and smart, she will want lots of physical and mental stimulation. She will respond best to positive reinforcement training and we can help you with that. She will want to hear lots of "good girl" and she will remember what she did to hear those magic words. Do you want a smart, loyal and obedient dog to love and protect you and your family? Who wouldn't? If so, come and meet gorgeous Rhyme and we think she will give you a reason to take her home. Bring a strong collar and leash. At SDHS:Rhyme has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed neutered. Rhyme is now ready for hernew home! Story
I’m Matrix, a rottweiler with a strong stride and a loyal heart. I love my walks! The kind where my paws hit the ground with purpose and the world unfolds one scent at a time. Walking isn’t just exercise for me; it’s how I stay balanced, how I check in with everything that matters .My favorite place, though, is wherever my people are. I like being close enough to watch, to listen, to know what’s going on. I don’t always need attention, but I do need presence. Just being part of the group feels right to me, like that’s where I’m meant to be. When it comes to food, I’m clear about my boundaries. My bowl is my bowl. I enjoy my meals in peace, and I don’t see the need to share what’s mine. Respect that, and we’ll get along just fine. I’m calm, confident, and steady. Matrix by name, protector by nature, happiest when life is simple and my people are near.
