Story
🐾 Meet Rose Gold 🩷 Beautiful, Resilient, and Out of Time 🩷 Five-year-old Rose Gold has a heart as precious as her name. After years of neglect and uncertainty, she’s learning what it means to be cared for. She entered the shelter shy but gentle, allowing handling during intake and responding to simple cues like sit, paw, and lay down. She recently had a dog-to-dog introduction and did beautifully, calm, relaxed, and respectful. She’s shown she can coexist peacefully and is ready to start a new chapter in a loving home. Rose Gold walks with strength on leash, takes treats with enthusiasm, and enjoys quiet moments once she feels safe. She will thrive in a calm, low-traffic home where she can unwind and feel secure. She’s playful, loyal, and full of potential. She just needs someone to believe in her. This gorgeous 98-pound Rottie mix has been through enough. She deserves a home, not a countdown. Please consider opening your heart and adopting Rose Gold. If you can’t adopt, sharing her story could save her life. 🩷 Her time is running short. Let’s make sure she’s seen, loved, and chosen. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! You guessed it, we named her Sweetie because she is so deserving of that name, too sweet and loving. This 5 year old young girl just wants to be loved and hang around you, she craves human attention and I am giving her all I can. But she has to share with the other foster dogs here. Sweetie is good about sharing and happy to live with her foster siblings big and small. She gets along with everything and everyone. I do not have cats so I do not know about them. Sweetie weighs 56 pounds right now but she was thinner when I got her. She needs to put on a few more pounds but she is a petite size Rottweiler. Sweetie came to my attention by some out of town visitors, she kept going into the hotel they were staying and laying on the cool floor. We are in San Antonio, Texas and we are having a very hot summer. The visitors fed her for a few days and reached out to me for help. Before I could get over there to get her, ACS, our very high kill shelter picked her up . Turns out Sweetie had a microchip so ACS contacted her owners to pick her up, they never came and Sweetie ended up on death row simply because he owners abandoned her. I immediately pulled her from the facility and brought her into my home. She was confused at first and didn't know how to act but it was clear that she really appreciated the love and attention, she gobbled it up. Sweetie has adjusted and really ready for her own home. Sweetie is spayed, vaccinated, rabes, dewormed and microchipped under my rescue and healthy. She has a lot more life to live, can you be her hero? Her medical records will come with her. Thank you.   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.We would like to welcome RAY to our group of Rottweiler lovers.  This beautiful boy is 9 months old and 93 pounds and will probably weigh at least 120 pounds as an adult.  This happy guy loves to meet new people and he is a puppy playful guy who loves to have treats but mainly like all Rottweilers he likes to be in your company getting love from you.  He is a true full blooded/upre breed Rottweiler.  Walks great on the leash and loves to hang his head out of the door while riding in the car. Ray's temperament is so great that it makes him a wonderful family pet, of course he does not realize how big and strong he is but he absolutely loves to play with kids.  He even knows a few commands if he will pay attention and not continue to try to engage you in playing with him.  Please be aware that Ray is an indoor dog and has the manners to be inside.  He is a goofy and calm boy who is looking for a loving home. Ray's tail is docked but he has huge dewclaws that the vet was not able to remove because they are connected to the bone but that does not slow him down, just a cosmestic thing.  He is in great health. If you are interested in adopting Ray, please submit an application on the website below.  More pictures are available.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.You would be winning a prize to get this super duper sweet little girl.  Well she is not so little, kind of like 65 pounds and she will get about 10 bigger as she develops.  Meet BUBBLES who will cuddle and give kisses, she is loyal and loving, kind and gentle.  As part of her makeup you would be getting a non-reactive, friendly and social girl.    This sweetheart was abandoned at a park in San Antonio, TX.  So loyal that she was just sitting in the sand pit waiting for her humans to come back and get her.  After 3 days she decided she would follow her foster mom home with their dog.     Did I tell you she is affectionate and a love bug who gets along with other dogs and cats and she thinks she is a lap dog so be prepared to get all the love your have been looking for from BUBBLES, she gives the best hugs.     On the 2nd day at her foster home she allowed the 13 year old to bath and trim her nails without any fuss. Of course she runs and play like Tinkerbell with the foster's pit mix who can be kind of bossy at times but BUBBLES has no reaction towards it she just goes to play with her toys until our dog is ready to play again.   She is very comfortable sitting quietly playing with her toys and so not in the way of anything.  BUBBLES totally respects the boundaries of the cat and she is friendly with her.   BUBBLE is estimated to be approximately 1 1/2 years old and completely healthy.  She will guard your property in a curious kind of way and occasionally bark at perceived threats but isn't a big runner or barker.    BUBBLES has been in foster care for 6 weeks and her foster family simply love her but know she deserves to have a home of her own.  It would be great if she had a pet playmate but she would be just as happy as an only dog.  She would be your constant and best companion.   BUBBLES can be trusted unsupervised in the yard and has not tried to dig or escape.   If you are interested in adopting BUBBLES, please submit an application on the website below or give us a call.      www.roxysk9rescue.org          ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Meet Atticus, a SUPER sweet and lovable ~3 year old neutered male terrier/Boxer/lab mix (see pic of Embark DNA results), weighing about 54 lbs! This special boy was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN. He spent some time in a shelter before being taken into rescue and transported up north, where he has been with his foster family for 7 months now. His foster family absolutely ADORES him and they don’t understand how he hasn’t been adopted yet.  Atticus is a friendly, goofy lovebug who just wants to love and be loved He also thinks he is a lap dog and he dares you to tell him otherwise! He has a zest for life and you can tell by the way he looks at you with such love in his eyes that he is DEEPLY thankful for being given a second chance. He will make you laugh every single day with his silly antics, and then he will happily be your little spoon when you're ready for bed. He is also very smart and knows many commands, he is food motivated and a fast learner!  This handsome guy is a true social butterfly! He absolutely LOVES people, and he is excellent with kids. He loves vigorous pets and butt scratches, and he will happily wiggle his WHOLE body with excitement when you give him attention! He gives the best hugs and kisses and makes the cutest like piggy noises when he is happy   Atticus does well with the resident dogs in his foster home, but he is dog selective and is typically not a fan of large fluffy dogs or dominant dogs. He tends to do better with dogs who are smaller than him. He does have some resource guarding tendencies when it comes to other dogs and food/treats (we always recommend feeding dogs separately regardless). He has not shown any resource guarding tendencies with people, only with other dogs. He has not been cat treated, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Atticus came to us with some reactivity to other dogs, which has unfortunately caused him to not "show" well at adoption events. His foster family has been working hard with him on this, with the help of K9 Rehab in Watertown, CT. He is now e-collar trained and walks beautifully on leash, even surrounded by other dogs. We are SO proud of the amazing progress he has made! As part of their Underdog program, K9 Rehab has generously offered continued training classes to Atticus’s adopter for FREE!  Atticus’s ideal home is one where he will be a cherished family member and given the love and attention that he so deserves. He is happiest when he is with his people, so it is important that he goes to a home where he will be welcomed on the couch and in his human’s bed - he is the perfect snuggle buddy! Additionally, we would like to see Atticus go to someone who is willing to keep up with his training to help him be the best version of himself. He is a truly wonderful dog who will absolutely thrive in the right home, and we just know that home is out there. Atticus is medically up to date and housebroken. Apply to meet this special boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2553222##

Story
Meet Bruno, a handsome young neutered male mixed breed doggo (our best guess is Boxer/Dutch Shepherd - DNA results pending! ). He is approximately 1 year old and weighs about 35 lbs - the perfect size! Pictures really don't do this guy justice, he's got the most beautiful brindle coat and the BEST ears!   Bruno is a friendly, energetic boy who gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids (we recommend older kids 8+ as he is an exuberant young guy and may unintentionally knock over a small child). He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Bruno is smart and food motivated, he has been taking training classes to work on manners and impulse control, and he has been doing GREAT! The ideal home for Bruno is one where he will get plenty of mental and/or physical stimulation to set him up for success. He would also LOVE a fenced in yard of his own and maybe another playful pup in the home to keep him company! From Bruno's current foster:  "Bruno came to Connecticut Sept. 6. Age unknown (possibly a year old, had adult teeth), heritage unknown (Dutch shepherd mix? Heeler? Boxer? Min Pin?). HAPPILY, absolutely no aggression, but lots of energy. Fast forward two months, and he is a really great dog, LOVES training and LOVES to show off his focus. About 35 lbs, a great size. He enjoys our fenced yard and chew bones, loves our weekly training sessions, where he has mastered sit/down/touch/look/wait and even leave it. After 3 sessions, I know he can be your forever companion as long as he has an active life or daily job. Maybe agility? Hiking? With more training, maybe a service dog or companion dog? Not a great candidate for someone working away from home 8 hrs/day, a first time dog owner or family with young children as he is exuberant." Bruno is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special boy today!  Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable.
