Story
Meet Puddin! Puddin came into a shelter in Texas in rough shape. She has not only been a stray since a young baby, but she was hit by a car and her leg was shattered. The shelter did an FHO surgery to repair her leg. She will never 100% but does very well as you see in the video. This sweet girl is crate trained, knows sit, come, stay off, walks nicely on a leash and is good with large dogs. She is extremely affectionate. Miss Puddin will need to be socialized more with humans because of a very rough start in life. Miss Puddin is protective of her foster family, and very, very grateful for all attention and love that she gets. No one deserves to be loved and cared for more than this girl for the rest of her life. Miss Puddin has not been cat tested. Any family would be lucky to have her. We would definitely recommend training and a fenced yard for Puddin in her new home. If you feel you would like to love Puddin and give her the forever home she deserves, please apply for her today. She has lots of love to give, but also needs someone with patience, love, time and dedication. Story
Trooper is a very special boy who definitely lives up to his name. He was found suffering from numerous wounds from what is believed to be an attack from a wild animal. Trooper was treated at a local veterinarian’s office and lived there for approximately eight months while he recovered. While his body has healed, he still suffers from extreme levels of fear and anxiety. He has been making slow, steady progress during his stay with us and is moving towards being a more confident version of himself. Trooper is very fearful of men and environmental stimuli. He remains a high flight risk, and will require a fenced-in yard. He is best suited for a low stress environment with minimal distractions. He will need incremental exposure to new people and situations in order to overcome his fear. Once he warms up to you he is a big goof and loves to lay on the couch with you and receive pets. When you stop petting him he taps your arm until you start to pet him again. This boy has been through a lot but still just wants to be loved. If you have any questions about Trooper or think you can provide Trooper with the environment he needs, give us a call! Visit our adoption page for details about our process, and to fill out an adoption application.  All animals come spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped.  If the animals age or health prevents any of these from being completed prior to adoption a voucher is issued for the services to be performed.  If you have any questions about the animal, or our adoption process, please email adopt@littleguild.org.  The Little Guild is a 501c(3) federally recognized non-profit organization devoted to saving the lives of homeless pets.  April 22, 2024, 9:14 am

Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!! You guessed it, we named her Sweetie because she is so deserving of that name, too sweet and loving. This 5 year old young girl just wants to be loved and hang around you, she craves human attention and I am giving her all I can. But she has to share with the other foster dogs here. Sweetie is good about sharing and happy to live with her foster siblings big and small. She gets along with everything and everyone. I do not have cats so I do not know about them. Sweetie weighs 56 pounds right now but she was thinner when I got her. She needs to put on a few more pounds but she is a petite size Rottweiler. Sweetie came to my attention by some out of town visitors, she kept going into the hotel they were staying and laying on the cool floor. We are in San Antonio, Texas and we are having a very hot summer. The visitors fed her for a few days and reached out to me for help. Before I could get over there to get her, ACS, our very high kill shelter picked her up . Turns out Sweetie had a microchip so ACS contacted her owners to pick her up, they never came and Sweetie ended up on death row simply because he owners abandoned her. I immediately pulled her from the facility and brought her into my home. She was confused at first and didn't know how to act but it was clear that she really appreciated the love and attention, she gobbled it up. Sweetie has adjusted and really ready for her own home. Sweetie is spayed, vaccinated, rabes, dewormed and microchipped under my rescue and healthy. She has a lot more life to live, can you be her hero? Her medical records will come with her. Thank you.   ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 23, 2024, 6:45 pm

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.ADOPTED!!! Meet Max, 3.5 years old, weighs 88 lbs, he has a beautiful shinny coat and a total sweetheart heart. Max is a mild and mellow gentlemen who just wants a family or single person to be his buddy. His activity level is normal but he loves to go on works and play around. He walks very well on a leash, does not pull, he is happy to just enjoy getting out. He has been around teenagers and adults. Max is very well behaved, takes treats very gently, knows how to sit and give you his paw. He is quiet and very low maintenance. I cannot say enough good things about this boy.I listed that his attitude is unknow towards dogs because he has not been around other dogs that often and when he did a family member brought over there dog and Max got jealous when the dog tried to get too much loving from the owner. As far as cats go, Max has been around them and ignored them but he has also showed interest in them and gone after them but not in a threatening way. Max needs a new home because his owners are working more hours and leaving Max to occupy himself for long hours. Once they get home, Max goes to the door, gets his leash and lets them know he wants to go for a walk. Max is completely house trained and potty trained. He can be left in the house along, he has never been crated and there is no need to confine him. This guy is obedient.I can provide other pictures of him.He is up to date on all vaccinations and is heartowrm negaitve. His medical records will come with him at the time of adoption. Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption!*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41
