Story

Hope is a very sweet five year old dog from KC Pet Project. She’s incredibly loving and loyal to her owner. She loves snuggling, and thinks she’s a lap dog sometimes! She’ll follow you anywhere and prefers being close to the human she loves. Hope has a lot of energy sometimes, and likes to go for walks or play tug-o-war. She enjoys puzzle games and feeders and learning new tricks. Hope can be a resource guarder and a little on edge when she is afraid, so she needs an owner who is patient and willing to consistently work with her. Hope gets along with her brother, a larger breed who is a few years olderbut she has not been getting along with a new step-sister (hence the reason she is looking for a new home.) She would probably do best in a home where she is the only pet and will not have to compete for attention or resources. Hope has never been around children. It would be best for her to find a home with one or two owners who can be home with her a lot of the time.

Ada is a lovely brindle pup who was born on 12/15/2024. The litter of 9 came to us when the mama dog stopped feeding them. Our fosters took over and they have thrived in their foster homes! Mom is an American Bulldog and a picture of her is included. We don't know who dad is. Based on this the pups should be around 60 to 80 pounds when grown. About the breed: American Bulldogs are a well-balanced athletic dog that demonstrate great strength, endurance, agility, and a friendly attitude. These dogs have a clown-like personality. As family dogs, they do well with kids and babies. All Heart of America dogs are altered, micro chipped and will have age-appropriate vaccines. The adoption cost is $225.

I adopted Marley from KC Pet projects about 3 years ago. He is about 4 years old. Marley is a great, loving, energetic dog. When I first adopted Marley I had a huge backyard for him to run around in, unfortunately I’ve had to downsize to a small apartment and Marley is just not a great apartment dog, he truly needs an area to run. Marley gets along great with my old roommates dog and a couple other dogs he’s met. He’s just a big ol sweet heart who wants nothing more than to run and be pet!! No health issues since I have adopted him either.
