Story
Temu is a handsome boy who came to us as a stray, so his past remains a bit of a mystery, but from day one, he’s shown us just how sweet he is. He’s a smart pup who already knows some basic tricks, and with how food-motivated he is, he’ll likely pick up even more in no time! We’re still getting to know Temu, but it’s clear he has so much potential to truly blossom in a home environment. He’s a strong boy, but he walks fairly well on a leash and would continue to benefit from consistent guidance and positive reinforcement. With a loving, patient family, Temu is sure to grow into an amazing companion. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #: 3537

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Sierra spent most of her life living in complete filth with tank. She ended up in a shelter and when we saw her we knew we had to help them. Tank and Sierra both got  their freedom ride and now  live in the pooch palace :) Sierra was having some issues with her legs and being stiff and sore so we gave her a librella injection and meds and she is thriving! She LOVES playing in the field with the biggest smile on her face. Her and Tank live together and I think its safe to say there both loving there new lives :)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Current Location: Charlestown, WV Hello! My name is Baby Girl! I'm coming to OPH on 3/13. Please check back soon for updates on my personality, and to see adorable new photos. I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. Let’s get our family started! This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito producing a positive test in six months. OPH will treat the dog and provide two weeks of recovery time prior to adoption. Potential adopters will receive detailed information on the disease and their role in completing the recovery process from OPH’s heartworm coordinator. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease at https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics

Story
This big beautiful girl cost someone $3500 2 years ago. A year ago she found herself abandoned and living on a chain a couple hundred feet behind the home she used to live inside of. The family she used to be a part of had moved away. Thankfully the property owner had been caring for her until he could find the perfect place for her. She is now safe and comfortable at the Funny Farm and back inside where it’s warm and she gets to play and have people love on her throughout the day. She is 62 pounds of pure love. She loves everyone she meets and is a little submissive. She loves other dogs of all sizes as well. She has a moderate prey drive so cats would probably not be a great idea although we are told she used to live with 2. She absolutely loves toys, especially this giant donut and she loves to go for rides. She does great off leash and has excellent recall. She is the typical Rottie and is a slob with her water and food and has no idea how big she is because she loves to sit in your lap. She knows sit but I believe from living on a chain for a year, she does jump a little but she corrects fairly easy. This girl has tons of potential in an experienced home. She needs lots of exercise and consistent training. If you think you are the perfect match for Zoey you need to start by submitting the adoption application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog Her adoption fee is $325 and if she requires transport from her current foster home near Jackson TN there will be an additional $200 fee. She will be fully vetted before leaving the rescue. You can check her and her adoptable friends out at funnyfarmpets.org and check out her videos on FB at https://www.facebook.com/mcbfunnyfarmrescue?

Story
This beautiful 1.5-year-old Rottweiler girl is the total package. Piper Rae came to us as an owner surrender. Sweet, loving, and ready to find her forever family! Weighing in at around 65 pounds, she’s the perfect mix of strong and snuggly, and she absolutely adores people. Whether it’s soaking up attention or leaning in for love, she’s happiest right by your side. She’s also great with other dogs and enjoys having canine companions to play and hang out with. Her friendly, social personality makes her a joy to have around! At just a year and a half old, she’s still very much a puppy at heart. Playful, energetic, and sometimes a little goofy! Because of her size and enthusiasm, she would do best in a home with older children who can comfortably interact with her. Because of her energy level, a secure 6-foot fence is recommended so she can safely stretch her legs and enjoy some outdoor time. If a 6-foot fenced yard isn’t available, she will need to be leashed at all times to keep her safe. She thrives in a structured environment and will do best with an adopter who is committed to continuing her training and providing consistency. She’s eager to learn and wants to please. She just needs someone willing to guide her and help her be her very best self. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will be your shadow and your biggest fan, she might just be your perfect match. 💕 Piper is being fostered in York Haven, PA. Interested adopters should be willing to travel with all members of the family and dogs to the foster home. Kennel license 9117 PO box 2372 Reading pa 19608
