Story
Meet Imani! Imani is a 1 1/2-year-old Doberman-Rottweiler mix with a heart full of potential and love to give. Rescued from a local shelter's euthanasia list nearly a year ago, Imani has blossomed into a lively, affectionate, and active pup who enjoys exploring her boundaries. With clear and consistent communication, she learns quickly and thrives on structure. While Imani can be initially nervous or scared in new places or around unfamiliar noises, she gains confidence with an experienced handler who is willing to invest in her training. With the right guidance, she becomes more confident and will reward you with unwavering trust and respect in your partnership. Imani would do best in a home with another stable dog to show her the ropes and no cats. She isn't the biggest fan of small children but could acclimate to living with older kids if the adults in the home are committed to working with her and advocating for everyone's safety and comfort. If you have the experience, patience, and dedication to help Imani continue her journey, she will undoubtedly become a loyal and loving companion. Could you be the forever home Imani has been waiting for? Story
Duke is a 1.5-year-old, 100 pound Rottweiler with a fluffy coat and a heart of gold. True to his breed, Duke embodies the classic Rottweiler characteristics: he is loyal, confident, and protective. **Also true to the classic Rottweiler characteristics, he is a big baby who still hasn't figured out how to not trip over his own paws.** We joke that he must be mixed with a Golden Retirver because he is extraordinarily social with people of all ages, leaning in for pets any chance he gets! Duke is full of energy and enjoys his daily walks and although he is strong, is well behaved on the leash and continues to improve with his leash manners. He loves water and finding all of the cool sticks to bring home! He's smart and eager to learn, but wants to be your only doggie companion. Other doggie friends get intimidated by his size and excitement so he hasn't been able to cohabitate with another dog yet. That being said, he has had multiple positive leashed interactions with dogs who are not off-put by grumbles or large dogs. He has done well with chickens while they are in their run, and easily disengaged from excitement of their noises. Duke thrives in an environment where he can have structure and routine. We have a high preference for: XL Dog breed experience Fenced yard Although he loves children, specifically his 7 year old foster human who walks him every night, he should not live with children who may be tempted to share snacks as he is learning a lot about sharing. If you're looking for a loyal and happy go lucky addition to your family, Duke is the perfect match. Apply below: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HRMD/Dog

Story
They are a bonded pair. We arent sure if they are mother and daughter or sisters. Both girls have been very very scared and have huddled next to each other for comfort. Both girls were surrendered to the shelter severely under weight. They went to boarding for a few weeks to try and help them open up but they both still struggled tremendously. Both girls are now in foster care in homes to help them come out of their shells and see if we can get them to open up and gain their trust. ##1347250##

Story
This squishy handsome faced man is Ferguson! Ferguson does well with other social dogs, and with slow, monitored introductions could potentially do well with feline friends. We recommend kiddos be a little more mature and be present for meets. Ferguson needs some general training and socialization, so his ideal home is one that is willing to work through some of his nervousness and help him to be the best boy we know he can be! If you're interested in his pup, come to the ARL and adopt him today!Available at the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, Birdsboro Pa 19508, KL#1257 Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 87 Age: 2yrs 3mths 4wks
