Story
This big beautiful girl cost someone $3500 2 years ago. A year ago she found herself abandoned and living on a chain a couple hundred feet behind the home she used to live inside of. The family she used to be a part of had moved away. Thankfully the property owner had been caring for her until he could find the perfect place for her. She is now safe and comfortable at the Funny Farm and back inside where it’s warm and she gets to play and have people love on her throughout the day. She is 62 pounds of pure love. She loves everyone she meets and is a little submissive. She loves other dogs of all sizes as well. She has a moderate prey drive so cats would probably not be a great idea although we are told she used to live with 2. She absolutely loves toys, especially this giant donut and she loves to go for rides. She does great off leash and has excellent recall. She is the typical Rottie and is a slob with her water and food and has no idea how big she is because she loves to sit in your lap. She knows sit but I believe from living on a chain for a year, she does jump a little but she corrects fairly easy. This girl has tons of potential in an experienced home. She needs lots of exercise and consistent training. If you think you are the perfect match for Zoey you need to start by submitting the adoption application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog Her adoption fee is $325 and if she requires transport from her current foster home near Jackson TN there will be an additional $200 fee. She will be fully vetted before leaving the rescue. You can check her and her adoptable friends out at funnyfarmpets.org and check out her videos on FB at https://www.facebook.com/mcbfunnyfarmrescue?

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Hi my name is Sierra and I am Tanks girl.  We didn't live a very good life until now but the Rescue Ranch ladies say that is all behind us and we are going to live in the Pooch Palace that sound pretty "swanky" I may just turn into Cinderella!  I already have my prince.  Tank and I are ready to see what its like to be taken care of and loved.  It sounds amazing!!!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Meet King, a 3-month-old fluffy Rottweiler mix who was dealt the luckiest of hands when he and his sister Queen were surrendered to the rescue.  Thanks to a foster willing to step up for them, King and Queen have spent their formative weeks in a real home, learning to love and be loved. King can be shy at first, but hold him in your arms and he will melt into you. He is calm and soulful, and sure to be the king of hearts in his forever home! King loves sitting on the couch and getting belly rubs from adults and children. He also does great playing with other dogs, but doesn’t play rough. He’s overall an easygoing puppy with great promise.  According to a breed test done on King, he is half Rottweiler and the other half is made up of 16 different breeds! Woah! (Check out the photo for more specific information.) The second highest percentage is Labrador retriever, but he’s also got small percentages of some fluffy dogs like golden retriever and husky, which explains his super soft, longer coat!  King and Queen are currently working on potty training and crate training, but their forever homes will need to continue the work to perfect their skills. They are both very intelligent and eager to please their humans.
