Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :) When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :) Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us! Hi my name is Sierra and I am Tanks girl.  We didn't live a very good life until now but the Rescue Ranch ladies say that is all behind us and we are going to live in the Pooch Palace that sound pretty "swanky" I may just turn into Cinderella!  I already have my prince.  Tank and I are ready to see what its like to be taken care of and loved.  It sounds amazing!!!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not. A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop! Story
Koda is a great dog for someone who can give him a lot of attention and extra room to exercise. He is 3 years old and requires some training (leash training and jumping). Koda is VERY playful and loves to run, play fetch and chew on sticks. He’s very loving and protects his pack. He does have allergy issues and does require medication daily but takes it well. He is a guard dog and does become reactive towards other dogs. He would fit best in a home with no other dogs and a lot of land to run, or someone who can exercise him daily, as well as someone who is familiar with his breed.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- ROSA IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Rosa is a mature adult Rotteweiler who may be 7-9 years old and weighs about 90 pounds. Even though Rosa was missing some hair and hasn't been taken the best care of, someone taught her how to sit and shake hands. She's a sensitive girl who was been upset by losing her family and is comforted by the presense of her foster mom. She would even happier in her very own home with a new family!Rosa is a strong girl who will need a physically capable adopter as she can pull pretty hard on leash. She has been reactive to other dogs and cats in her foster home so being an only child will set her up to be the most successful! We know there are so many great people out there how love rotties! We just need to find one that will give Rosa the happy ending we want for her!A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Rosa, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs!Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Good with dogs,
Story
Current Location: Frederick, MD This little boy is puppy perfection. Scarface is sweet, playful, and full of love. His unique patch over one eye gives him a look you will not forget. His silly charm and that classic puppy breath seal the deal. ENERGY AND PERSONALITY Scarface is cheerful, bright, and as affectionate as they come. He plays hard, chases toys, and bounces after every new adventure. When he is tired he curls under the blankets for a warm snuggle. He loves attention, sits politely, and wants to please his people. He is looking more boxer every day with all the goofy joy to match. TRAINING AND BEHAVIOR At only 12 weeks old he is learning the world step by step. Potty training is in progress. He watches his older foster sister and copies her quickly. He settles in his crate for work hours and is growing more confident each day. He eats well, shows no resource issues, and responds fast to praise. His play style is spirited so he needs supervision to keep the fun from getting too wild. SOCIAL LIFE Scarface loves dogs and people. He has a gentle heart and soaks up affection from anyone who offers it. He brings joy to every room and makes friends fast. A LUCKY BEGINNING Scarface and his brother were found at a local post office. A kind mail carrier picked them up before they could be hurt. They arrived covered in fleas but full of spirit. Now they are thriving in foster care and learning what love feels like. BEST HOME FIT Scarface needs a home ready for a smart and active puppy. He needs structure, play, training, and cuddles. He will give his whole heart in return.
