🚨 URGENT – Handsome Boy LINCOLN Needs Help 🚨 Name: Lincoln Status: Stray – Urgent placement needed Lincoln came into the shelter as a stray and is feeling the stress of the kennel environment. He loves human attention and truly shines when he’s with people—soaking up pets and affection. 💙 While he can be selective with kennel mates, he does best with calm, proper introductions and would thrive with someone who understands him and can advocate for his space. Story
Bluey was given to us, his trainers, because his owner felt he could not devote enough time to him. We had never planned on keeping him, we were going to rehome him. We had an adopter lined up but, this gentleman had another Rottweiler and he was elderly. He changed his mind at the last minute. Bluey grew up with two little girls. He is a most gentle giant. He has entropion. We cannot afford the surgery. We started an gofundme but were unsuccessful. All we want is for him to go to a good home.

Story
Marsha is a possible Rottweiler mix who was found wandering the streets as a stray. At first, she can be a bit shy and unsure of her surroundings, but underneath that initial nervousness is an incredibly sweet, loving girl. When Marsha first came out, she stayed low to the ground with her tail tucked, taking things in carefully. With some gentle pets and reassurance, she quickly warmed up—soon sitting close by, wagging her tail, and asking for more affection. Marsha truly blossoms with kindness and patience. She enjoys being near her handler and often chooses comfort over treats. At one point, she even nudged a treat aside just to rest her head in a hand and soak up some love. While she does have occasional playful bursts (especially chasing a ball!), she’s happiest snuggled in close for calm, gentle pets. Marsha showed interest in other dogs nearby and may enjoy canine companionship, but she was easily redirected and remained focused on her person. She may also be housetrained, as she waited until she was outside to go potty. This beautiful girl could use some weight gain and, most importantly, a gentle, patient home where she can continue building confidence and feeling safe. Marsha is a quiet sweetheart who will thrive with someone willing to go slow and offer her the reassurance she craves. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be close, Marsha may be your perfect match. Notes: Volunteer 12/20/25:Took Marsha out in a side yard today and had a great time. She was nervous coming out of the kennel and needed some time to explore the yard. Once she settled in, I offered her a treat but Marsha told me what she really wanted. She nudged the treat off my hand onto the ground and laid her head in my hand asking for comfort. Marsha really loved pets and staying by her handler. She showed some interest in other dogs in nearby yards but was able to be redirected and back inside with no problem. Marsha seems extremely sweet and interested in someone who can be gentle and patient with her as she regains confidence. Volunteer 12/20/25: Marsha was a shy, sweetheart who seemed to have a lot of interest in meeting other pups. She had some bursts of energy chasing after a ball but mainly snuggled in close for gentle pets. She is a beautiful girl who needs to gain some weight. Possibly housetrained, she waited until we were outside to go poopies. Staff 12/19: Scared but friendly. At first she was tense, keeping low to the floor with tucked tail. After a bunch of fresh pet she was sitting and wagging tail for more. Go slow will warm up for food ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. Story
Tucker is a young, male Boxer mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart for the people he trusts. He’s social and eager on approach, easy to leash, and loves getting out of his kennel to explore. Tucker enjoys body handling and affection, though he can be easily distracted—there’s just so much going on in the world that catches his attention!Tucker is playful and energetic, especially when toys are involved. He has no issues with food or toy guarding and is happy to share space with people while eating. Squeaky toys are his favorite, and he enjoys interactive play with his handler. When it comes to new situations or unfamiliar people, Tucker can be unsure. He may bark or appear tense at first, especially if something looks or feels unusual, but with patience, calm handling, and positive reinforcement (treats help!), he is able to settle and build trust. Once he feels safe, his curiosity shines through.Tucker will need an experienced, adult-only home committed to continuing his behavior modification work. He is highly reactive to other dogs and must be the only pet in the home—no dogs and no cats. He would do best with adopters who understand fear-based reactivity and are willing to work with a professional trainer to help him feel more confident and secure.**Tucker’s Ideal Home:*** Adults only (no children)* No other dogs or cats* Experienced, patient adopters* Commitment to training and behavior support* A calm, structured environmentWith the right guidance and consistency, Tucker has the potential to be a deeply loyal companion who bonds strongly with his people. If you’re looking for a dog to invest time, understanding, and heart into—and you believe in second chances—Tucker may be your guy.Ask us about Tucker today and see if you’re the match he’s been waiting for.To complete adoption questionnaire: https://hamiltonmcnj.seamlessdocs.com/f/AdoptionApplicationTo see other available animals: https://www.hamiltonnj.com/173/Pets-Available-for-AdoptionHamilton Township Animal Shelter cannot offer any guarantees on the age, health, temperament, personality or mental disposition of any pet. Story
At about 2 years old and 62 pounds of handsome charm, Dominick is a playful, toy-loving pup who’s ready to find his person. This sweet boy has a soft spot for women and would thrive with an experienced dog owner who understands how to give him structure, patience, and love. He’s looking for a quiet, adult-only home where he can feel safe and finally relax.Dominick has been with us since February 2025, and shelter life hasn’t been easy for him. The noise and constant activity make him anxious, and he’s currently on medication to help him cope. But the good news? He’s showing real improvement — his personality is shining through more and more every day.Once you get to know him, you’ll see what a loyal, goofy, and affectionate companion he can be. Dominick absolutely adores his toys — you’ll often see him proudly carrying his favorite stuffed animal on walks, as if to show it off to the world. We know the right person is out there for him — someone patient, kind, and ready to give Dominick the calm, loving home he’s been waiting for.Could that be you? ??If you would like to meet Dominick, visit our website (www.HamiltonNJ.com/AnimalShelter) and complete an online adoption application.
