Story
Hello my name is Jax I’m a rottweiler mix and am around 2 years old and weigh in at around 65 lbs. I would not do good with cats as they are fun to chase and young kids would be a no as I don’t know my own strength and would be too rough with them. I like other dogs and would do good with a female dog friend. I am working on my leash manners as I was probably never taught and I like to pull and I am a strong boy. I am a talkative boy and will let you know when I want something. I love to run and play and if you are interested in me please email. If you are interested in meeting Jax we ask that you please email adoption@columbiahumane.org in order to obtain an application. The adoption fee is $250.00, which includes neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming and vaccinations. All adoptions are done by appointment only, with an approved application on file. We truly appreciate your interest in helping a dog in need. For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgJanuary 15, 2025, 5:25 am

Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I can be shy in new spaces. I need a family who will let me take things at my own pace as I learn about new things. Once I come out of my shell, I have lots of love to give. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along.I have lived with cats before. Like most dogs, I'd still appreciate a slow introduction to new cats.I'm not on the general adoption floor. You might not see me when you come to visit. So please speak to an adoption counselor if you'd like to meet me.I'm available for Trial Adoption! If you're interested in taking me home for 2 weeks before making a final decision, please email adoptions@southwesthumane.org. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 89 Age: 0yrs 8mths 2wks

Here's what you need to know about me:I need a family experienced with my breed. I have some behaviors and preferences that are typical for my breed and would do best with a family who understands my needs.I'm recommended with kids older than 10 years and prefer to meet them before going home, I just want to be sure we all get along! Sometimes I am sensitive about where I'm touched, and get uncomfortable if I feel stuck.I'm easy going. Wanna go for a walk? Okay. Hang out in the yard? No problem. Just relax on the couch? I can do that. I'm pretty happy to go at your pace and I don't really need much more than most dogs do. If you're looking for a steady companion, I'm all yours. Story
Napoleon describes him, he is very very playful and does want your attention, shares a home with an older cat but being a year old he is too much for him to play, kids play with him but better with older kids or kids that can rough play with him would be a good choice for his character and is a very high jumper, loves to run and jump and jump in general. Still being a pup has lots of training to do and has moved to various home along the way due to work, now my work is taking my away all day and part of the night and I am not able to take care of him the best way he should be, kids have after school activities and someone should be with him all day, he is very calm by himself but with other animals he will get hyper and would want to play, he is still being trained with a harness and leash and stays really close when he has it on, he still like to run up at people but he wants to know them. Easy to to train but is stubborn with wanting to play with cats.
