Story
Gypsy is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Gypsy is a very good girl and is the most obedient dog I have ever seen. She knows how to sit and comes when called. She is housetrained and very well behaved in the house. She likes her crate and sleeps in it with the door open. She walks well on a leash and rides well in a vehicle. Gypsy loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, and she loves playing fetch. Gypsy is active - she loves to run and play with toys and other dogs. She loves water and lays in the wading pool when it is hot, and we bet she would love snow. She gets excited about squirrels, cats, and critters on the other side of the fence. Gypsy does well with all dogs but gets along best with male dogs. She is normally good around small dogs but occasionally mistakes one for a toy when she is over-excited. So she is not recommended for homes with small dogs. She is not too fond of puppies getting in her face either. Gypsy loves human attention and is good with children. She could perhaps use more obedience training with someone firm, patient, and loving. Gypsy is very sweet. She gets attached to her human and likes to lay under my desk when I work on the computer. Gypsy walks well on a leash and rides well in the car. She must be in the house as a loved family member, and she needs a yard with a 6' fence to run and play. Gypsy came from a bad home. She was not being fed and was severely underweight. So the people surrendered Gypsy and her puppies to animal control to avoid animal cruelty charges. Gypsys DNA test results are mostly Boxer, Husky, and German Shepherd. She bounces on her front legs when she is excited and we now know that comes from the Boxer in her. Gypsy is around 5 years of age and weighs 70 pounds (she only weighed 35 pounds when we got her). Gypsy is healthy. She is spayed, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Gypsy had a light case of heartworms when we first got her. We used the slow-kill method (we are happy to explain this) and she is now negative for heartworms and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Gypsy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Vancouver WA. She is located in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. Story
Koda is a 3 year old Boxer/Husky mix who is looking for his furever home. He loves to sit on the couch and watch tv, go for walks, play with other dogs and just be loved. Koda is very athletic and needs space to run. He is great with other dogs and kids, in fact he would prefer a home with both. If you are looking for a sweet/loving/loyal family dog, Koda is your guy! Rehoming because my job requires more hours.

Story
Buddy is a shelter rescue grew up on 3 acre ranch. He was an outside dog, a ‘porch’ dog. Buddy was my Mothers’s partner’s dog. The ranch kept horses and goats and when my mother lived there sheep. My mother passed away on 12/20/2020. Her partner passed away about 90 days later. I found nothing remotely acceptable in Arizona and by acceptable I mean, someone to care for a senior, had not a high demand anywhere. He came from a humble area of Arizona, near Laughlin, Bullhead and Kingman. This area relies on vacationers to the Colorado river and gambling. My hometown of Los Angeles was unbelievably difficult. I never managed to get even a contact to respond as the city is overwhelmed with needy animals. I’m not a dog person. I’ve done my best but I’m suffering my own autoimmune issues and find Buddy too difficult to care for. He wants to love and protect. He needs love as we all do. He has love to give. I don’t understand how to give him what he needs. I try but I fail. Please help.

🐾 Meet Laika! 🐾 Introducing Laika, the happiest, bounciest girl who instantly rolls over for belly rubs from anyone she meets. With her gentle and sometimes submissive nature, Laika is a joy to be around. At about 60 pounds and an estimated three years old, Laika might be a boxer-pit mix. What's undeniable is her love for life. Watch her adoption video here! She welcomes everyone like long-lost friends, eager to share her love and get some affection. Though she has shown a tendency to jump in her excitement, she responds well to correction and quickly calms down, making her a well-mannered house pet. Laika particularly loves playing with male dogs and truly enjoys their company! Her boundless energy is more apparent outside, where she has a medium to high energy level and eagerly chases lizards and rabbits whenever she can. She flourishes in an environment where she can run and play to her heart's content. Inside the house, she's a laid-back companion, content to lounge on the couch or a cozy bed, demonstrating that she can balance her spirit with a calm indoor demeanor. Currently fostered in Texas, Laika joyfully plays around the backyard. She gets along splendidly with her foster sibling and is completely potty trained, not chewing anything but her toys. While she has a high prey drive and may not be ready for the farmer's market due to her overstimulation, she's the perfect companion for someone with a secure yard who enjoys playful, energetic companionship. Laika loves children, offering gentle kisses and showing an incredible softness around them. Her manners are exemplary; she shares toys and food with her canine housemates and sits for treats. Laika has learned commands like 'sit,' 'high five,' and 'shake' and goes to her crate on cue. She relishes her training sessions, showing a sharp intellect and responsiveness, especially to treats and pets. Crate-trained and dog-friendly, Laika is a social butterfly in the making. She could be the only dog in a home but would also thrive with a pup companion to play with. Although she needs a strong handler during walks, especially when other animals are near, her love for the great outdoors and her adoration for comfy indoor cuddles are clear. Laika's cutest habit is carrying her affectionate title of "Licka Laika," generously bestowing kisses and cuddling on the couch. She can be vocal when she spots her reflection or sees animals outside, but she's become less so over time within the house. Ready to add a dose of joy to your life with a dog who's all about love and fun? Laika is an incredible family pet prepared to fill your life with happiness and countless cuddles. Take your chance to make Laika part of your family today. With the right guidance and patience, she's sure to be an exemplary companion. Apply to adopt Laika today and start the adventure with your new best friend! 🌟💖 Adoption profile & Application Link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/64527b0d85600cc36002ab01 Please email her coordinator with any questions: Leah.smith@threelittlepittiesrescue.org Available for adoption in TX, WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, CT, VT, NY, PA, OH and BC Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA, approximately 30 minutes from the Canadian border).
