Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Luna is a mixed breed (likely German Shepherd mixed with collie?) who is energetic, sweet and responsive to training. We want to ensure she finds a home that’s a strong match for her needs and personality, someone who will be able to provide the level of training and outlets for energy that she needs. Luna thrives when she has consistent supervision, engagement, and interaction. She has had a few biting incidents; while the skin was not broken in any case, both we and our trainers believe these were driven by her herding instincts and a desire to play. We’ve invested significantly in her training, including a recent five-week intensive program. Those trainers are willing to work with the new owners to help understand the training protocols that work best for her. We care deeply about Luna and want to make sure this transition is handled as thoughtfully and responsibly as possible.

Story
Athena is the kind of dog who turns heads and wins hearts wherever she goes. With her stunning good looks, sharp mind, and sweet nature, she’s the full package and then some. Athena thrives when her brain and body are both kept active and engaged, the kind of dog who wants to learn and be part of the action. She walks nicely on leash, appears to be housetrained, and already knows quite a few commands. Athena lives for adventure and is always ready to jump into whatever the day has in store—whether that’s hiking scenic trails, splashing along the beach, or simply being by your side. If you’re looking for a fun-loving partner who’s just as happy exploring the world as she is soaking up your love at the end of the day, Athena is ready to be your perfect match—and your very best adventure buddy.

Story
Geraldine is about 3 years old (according to the shelter she came from) and a sweet, cuddle, sometimes silly, girl. She knows some basic commands & a few fun tricks. She loves learning new tricks & playing sniff games or tug of war. She does not get over excited inside unless you encourage her. She is careful when inside & overall a good listener. She loves to cuddle with you on the couch. She really loves meeting new people and wants to be friends with everyone. She likes walks well enough but the area I live in does stress her out. She would do really well in a house with a yard that is in the suburbs or at least doesn't have too much hustle & bustle. She is reactive towards other dogs. I have been working with her on this however, the area has too many dogs and is just not the best place to train her. If she had a yard to run around in, she would thrive. She is very smart so I think she can be trained on the reactivity, just not where she is now.

Story
I adopted Bucky from the North Bay Humane Society about 2 years ago. He is now 3 years old. I love him to death, he is a big love bug, great with other dogs, but a little timid around other people. In this regard, he has gotten much better the past 2 years, where enow he will be happy being pet by strangers once he has had his walk, and continues to improve day by day. He is very food-motivated, so will take to training very well. He already knows "sit" "down" "toss" (throw his toy to me) and "thank you" (a drop command when we are playing fetch." He loves playing fetch, it is one of the main way I get his energy out, but he doesn't have infinite energy like some breeds, and will be all tired out by around 30mins of playing fetch in the park. It pains me that I have to rehome him, but I got him too early in my life (23y/o) and it is a responsibility that I need to lay aside as I am moving to New York and will not have enough space (physical and emotional) to give him a happy life.

Story
Meet Mason 🐾Mason is a handsome, intelligent German Shepherd with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He’s active, loyal, and thrives with structure, play, and connection. He loves walks, exploring, and interactive games like tug. Mason is very aware of his surroundings and gets excited around other dogs, so he’ll do best with someone who can continue guiding him with patience and consistency. He is crate-trained and settles well once he’s had enough activity. Mason learns quickly and responds well to clear direction.Mason would do best in a home where he has space, regular exercise, and an owner committed to his growth. Ideally, he’d be the with another pet or with an experienced handler. This decision hasn’t been easy—he’s deeply loved. The goal is to find him a home that can give him the time and structure he deserves.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog I:1Meet Landon, a goofy, lovable shepherd mix with big zoomies! 1 year old and 55 pounds, this handsome pup is full of energy, curiosity, and joy. Found as a stray at a construction site, Landon is now ready to build a future with a forever family of his own. Landon spent some time in a temporary foster home. We found out he is incredibly smart, treat-motivated, and already knows “sit” and “down.” He made good progress with house training, and settled in beautifully once he felt comfortable. This silly guy would thrive in an active home with room to run, play, and continue learning. After a fun day of adventures, Landon’s favorite thing is snuggling up for pets —he’ll happily drift right off to sleep beside you.  At the shelter, Landon has done wonderfully in doggy playgroups. He absolutely loves other dogs and likes to show off his fun side with chase games and play bows galore. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a playful companion, and a total sweetheart wrapped into one energetic pup, Landon might just be your match! June 5, 2026, 9:49 am

Meet Kairo, a young Malinois who somehow managed to max out both his “brain” and “beauty” stats—and still had points left over for goofiness. Adventures, exercise, and exploring the world may be high on his to-do list—but once he’s gotten his wiggles out, he’s all about snuggles and softness for his favorite people. Whether he’s mastering new tricks, inventing his own games, or just supervising whatever you’re doing, he’s always ready for action. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh, keep you on your toes, and still curl up beside you at the end of it all. Incredibly sweet and endlessly playful, Kairo will keep you entertained no matter the activity.
