Story
Meet Leva, a young dog with a heart of gold and a gentle soul. Leva is shy at first and can be cautious around new people, but once she learns to trust you, her affectionate side shines through and she’ll shower you with endless cuddles, snuggles, and playful energy, becoming your loyal companion for life! Leva came in as a stray alongside her sister, who was very protective, making it hard for Leva to explore the world on her own. As a result, she’s still a bit unsure about her surroundings, but with the help of staff and volunteers, Leva is steadily gaining confidence. She would love a home with a yard and she’s especially good with other dogs, so having a calm, confident dog in her new home could help her feel more secure as she learns to love the world around her. She’s smart, highly engaged, and with time, patience, and lots of love, we know she will grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Leva is eager to find her forever home where she can continue her journey of growth and blossom into the best companion you could ever wish for!

While on walks he’s captivated by the world—sniffing out every intriguing scent that comes his way. When playtime rolls around, he truly shines. Whether he’s chasing after a toy or just bounding around, Mishka is truly a joy to be around! His fun-loving personality and gentle spirit make him the perfect companion, turning every day into a new and exciting journey.

Story
Say hello to Stella.  We are searching for a very special family for her because she is a special dog.  She looks lile a shepherd mix and we think she is because of her face and body, and she weighs about 50 lbs, but she has short legs carrying her around which is why we need that special family because at only 5 years old, she has some arthritis in her back legs.  It means that if you are looking for a hiking buddy, she is not the one for you.  If you want a dog that will give you lots of love and smiles and be absolutely happy to be with you while you garden, or paint or read a book, or take a short and leisurely stroll around the block, she could be just what you are looking.  This dog wants to be with you, and love you.  Don't we all need a happy face to greet us when we come home?  She could be your steadfast companion.   Stella is also good with cats.  Fine with strangers.  Not a puppy, she is well behaved and easy going with a laid back attitude.  Other than the arthritis, she is in very good shape but you should know that she has had a lot of babies and you can tell by looking at her.  We believe she was used for breeding and then discarded.  Remember, looks fade but personality lasts a lifetime. If you are looking for a really sweet dog who will appreciate you saving her, Stella could be your girl.  There are videos of her on the website at 4dogsfarmrescue.org/Available-dogs.html so please scroll until you see her name and you can watch them there.   Adoption applications are available on the website too - click on the ADOPT at the top of the page or click here - 4dogsfarmrescue.org/Adoption.html   Stella will come to you spayed and fully vetted. ADOPTION FEE:  $475.00 ##1699705##

Story
I am unable to keep my dog with me due to HOA/Insurance restrictions. Rookie is a 6ish year old Doberman/Shepherd mix that is obsessed with fetch and loves being tasked with a job. He is professionally trained and knows all the basic commands (sit, up, place, shake, leave it, get it, down, speak, and more). Fully vaxed, neutered, and house-trained. He was adopted from the Milo Foundation back in 2019. Ideally this person has experience with smart and highly trainable dogs. A trainer would be great and a backyard would be even better. He attends daycare at Happy Hound and has never had an issue. He has however, had one incident where he broke the skin of a hooded person walking back on a walk. He can be aggressive out of fear/anxiety, but perhaps that is on me and our relationship. I really think a patient and knowledgable person can make Rookie the perfect dog. He has all the skills and desires, just needs the right match. He's better with women as well it seems!

Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereHello from Milo! Milo is a gentle and loving soul. This sweet boy may have had a rough start in life, but he has made tremendous strides in improving his social abilities in his foster home. He was once fearful and nervous around new situations and people. Now, he eagerly welcomes guests to his home, wagging his tail in excitement for some tasty treats. He's even conquered his fear of passing strangers on the leash! (He still may have some stranger danger but it's getting better every day.) Fosters have reported that Milo is a playful and healthy pup who loves nothing more than being outside, playing, and exploring with his furry foster doggie siblings. He's full of affection and adores being petted, and his favorite place to cuddle up is right next to his beloved humans on the bed. His foster family calls him "Sunny Boy"! Milo is a good sleeper, sleeping soundly through the night, too. Milo will thrive in a calm and quiet household and environment, with routine and consistency so that he can continue to feel safe. He has learned to be a more confident dog! While Milo's past makes it hard to predict how he'll react around children or cats, one thing is for sure: this dog is full of love and loyalty, waiting for the perfect family to give him the love and care he deserves. With his good nature and willingness to learn, Milo is ready to be a faithful companion for life. Could you be the one to give him the loving home he's been waiting for? Milo is about 3 years old and weighs 59 lbs. He would prefer a quiet and adult-only home at this time. He adores people and forms deep bonds with his humans. And yes, he has mastered the art of "puppy eyes"! Max is incredibly soft and adores affection and belly rubs. Don't let his senior status fool you; full of life, this pup is far from retirement and maintains excellent mobility, hearing, and eyesight. He relishes going on walks, car rides, and is always eager for new adventures, such as exploring the coastal trail at Half Moon Bay or hiking on local nature trails. His current routine includes two daily walks around the neighborhood and mental exercises to keep him healthy and content. He reveals his playful side when pouncing on plush squeaking toys or zooming around the yard. Max has mastered many new skills, proving that older dogs are both capable and intelligent. He is crate trained, and understands numerous commands and associated hand signals. Max is highly food motivated and fearlessly attempts anything for treats, from navigating a long tunnel to jumping over small objects. His food motivation aids in his training and eagerness to learn new tricks. Max resides in a suburban foster home with a yard enclosed by a 6-foot fence, where he enjoys a balance of indoor and outdoor time. While Max prefers to be the sole focus of attention, he has enjoyed a few playdates with select tolerant dogs.  If you're searching for a truly remarkable companion with a sweet and affectionate demeanor, look no further than Max. I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAmana is a sweet and loving soul who was found as a stray running through traffic. She now lives in a 1 bedroom apartment with her foster mom and dad and enjoys lounging at home or being out on an adventure. She is a medium energy GSD who is easily tired with some fetch or running with other dogs. She is house trained, is fine being left alone, rides calmly in cars, and walks nicely on leash. Amana is very smart and picks up new commands quickly. She has learned sit, down, stay, come, leave it, take it, paw, up, back up, and off. She has prey drive so should go to a cat-free household. She is good with older children and has ignored toddlers and small children. She could be a solo dog or go to a home with a well-matched dog. Check her out at @adopt_oas_amana on Instagram! I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereWatch out! A dog whose calm and joyful demeanor is irresistable! Introducing Champagne with these amazing, delightful qualities: Heartwarming Happy Prance:  Champagne's happy prance during her walk touches your heart and brings a bright and cheerful energy to your daily interactions. Calm and Sweet Nature:  Exhibiting super calm and sweet behavior, Champagne remains composed and gentle, even during activities like bath time. She has been diagnosed with a skin condition called Pyoderma and receives frequent medicated baths. Leash Mastery:  Walking on an amazingly loose leash, Champagne proves to be an excellent walking companion, making strolls a pleasant experience. Though she will pull if she sees a squirrel run by!  Smart girl. According to her foster family, she is so smart and knows "sit," "lay down," and figured out how to open a door on her own.  Peanut Butter Connoisseur:  Champagne's love for peanut butter adds a delightful and endearing detail to her preferences, creating opportunities for enjoyable treats. We think Champagne would like to be the one and only dog in the home, but she may appreciate having some doggie friends! She is currently in foster with another dog and is doing well, after slow introductions.  If you're looking for a furry companion who brings happiness, calmness, and a touch of sweetness to your life, Champagne is the perfect match! Currently living in an apartment, Dimka is chill and enjoys spending time with her foster family. She loves going potty outside and will let you know when she needs to go. While she doesn’t love being left alone, she’s great in the car and can jump in and out of her foster’s SUV on her own! Dimka thrives on socialization and has enjoyed playdates with other dogs, getting along well with both pups and even cats.
