Meet Ginnifur (aka Ginger)!
Ginnifur, lovingly called Ginger, is a 4-year-old, 8-pound Shih Tzu/Poodle mix with a big heart packed into a tiny body. This sweet little lady found herself looking for a new home when her previous owner’s housing pet policy changed, and unfortunately she could no longer stay with the family she loved. Now Ginger is hoping to find a forever family who will cherish her just as much.
Ginger is a friendly, social girl who absolutely loves attention. She enjoys being around people and is happiest when she’s part of the action, whether that means cuddling on the couch or following her people around the house. She also gets along well with other dogs and has shown no bad feelings toward cats, making her a great candidate for a multi-pet household.
This little sweetheart has lovely house manners and walks nicely on a leash, making her a pleasant companion both at home and on outings. Because of her gentle personality, she would likely do well in a home with dog-savvy children who understand how to respectfully interact with a small dog.
As a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix, Ginger will need regular grooming to keep her coat healthy and looking her best—but she promises to reward you with plenty of snuggles and affection in return.

Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program.
FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS.
