Story
Meet Asher! Asher is an approximately 1 year old (still very puppy like) parti color Standard Poodle. Weighing in at 45 pounds, he’s working on bulking up a bit! Asher is very friendly and affectionate in his foster home. He’s learning not to jump up and give you hugs out of his puppy excitement! He’s housetrained and learning not to lift his leg in inappropriate places and has only done it once! Asher loves to chew, so he only gets chew safe toys, no stuffies. He’s a happy fella and gets along well with other dogs his size with his energy level and playful style. Because he’s still a puppy, he’s been enjoying eating from slow feed bowls and puzzle toys. He loves chewing on Benebones and bully sticks and collagen beef cheek rolls. Asher enjoys being outside with his foster mom and so we are requiring a fenced in yard for him to run and play with you. Because of his puppyness, no small dogs. A dog his size who has plenty of energy for play would be great. If he were your only only dog, keep in mind that he would need plenty of enrichment and activity, including a daily walk. Asher is not a sit on the couch and chill out kind of guy. He settles down great in his crate. He would do well with a family who would enjoy dog sports like agility or nosework, he seems to have the drive for that. Asher, like most Poodles, has a tender heart, so he responds well to positive reinforcement training. He knows sit and shake and clearly would like to learn more stuff! No children under the age of ten as he is still learning not to give everyone the poodle hug! Being a Standard Poodle, Asher will require professional grooming every 6-7 weeks. The cost can on average $100, so his new family would need to be prepared for that. He is learning leash manners and we ask that his new family continue walks for him. Asher is crate trained and settles very well and sleeps all night in a crate. He uses it like his condo, eats his meals in there and feels comfortable being crated. We would like his adoptive family to continue that habit as he’s still a puppy at about 1 year old. Adopters must live in the Atlanta area as a home visit will be done for Asher. Story
PLEASE READ: Barack is poodle, with a Rottweiler spirit. He’s super smart, knows basic commands, knows how to wait to eat. He loves to be active and playtime. He loves kids and other dogs (not cats). I got Barack around COVID, so he wasn’t socialized at an early age. He is used to being with a single woman, so it will take him time to adjust to a man and/or kids. He definitely really needs to be with someone who has the time and patience to train him or hire a professional trainer. He can become owner protective, which he doesn’t do great with strangers. But, I do believe he is still able to be trained on his behavior. If you do not have the time or patience to deal with this behavior, please do not reach out. Serious inquiries only, and I do not any money to rehome him.If you are interested please answer:Do you have the home space and time for a standard poodle? Will he be able to get 2 hrs of exercise a day? Will you be able to provide him training?Do you have a cat?

Story
Meet Lottie! Lottie is an amazing WeimarDoodle. Her mom was a purebred Weimaraner and her dad was a purebred Standard Poodle.   This sweet and goofy girl is the perfect mix of playful energy and cozy companionship. She absolutely loves spending time outdoors, whether she’s running around in a fenced-in yard or joining you for a walk. An active family would be a great match for her, as she enjoys staying busy and exploring the world by your side. After she’s had her fun, she’s more than happy to curl up (or sprawl out) on the couch and soak up all the love and attention she can get. She truly enjoys being close to her person, so someone who is home with her more often than not would be perfect - stay at home parent or someone who works from home.  She’s fully potty trained, crate trained, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a leash.  While she is dog-friendly, she does best with proper, slow introductions. She would thrive in a home where she can be the only dog, as long as she can have frequent play dates with other dogs. She does require a fenced-in backyard, where she can do her daily bird watching (very important work) and safely run around to burn off some energy.  If you’re looking for a funny, loving, slightly dramatic best friend… Lottie’s your girl. Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: We are looking for an experienced dog person for Lottie who has a basic understanding of training and dog behavior/body language so that they can continue with Lottie's training that her foster mom has been working so hard on. Lottie is not suitable for first time dog parents.  ##2662560##

Story
Meet Ava! Ava is a gorgeous poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 8 other dogs.  Ava is about 5 years old and a sweet, playful girl. She's great with all other dogs and crate trained. Ava hasn't been around cats since we have had her, but several others from the same group are currently fostering with cats and doing great, so it's likely she would too. Ava is looking for an experienced poodle/doodle home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard. We also want to mention that while these dogs are poodle/doodle mixes we have no idea how much poodle is actually in them and so we cannot say that they would be allergy friendly.   Interested in adopting? Email adrienne@rescuemega.org or fill out an adoption application on our website- www.rmgdogs.org PLEASE NOTE: Previous first hand breed experience, another dog in the home, and a fenced yard are strict requirements to adopt ##2708851##

Story
Meet Jules! Jules is an adorable poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 6 other dogs. We were told that Isabelle, who was part of the same group we rescued, is his mother and honestly they look so similar - we believe it! Jules is about 2-3 years old and absolutely LOVES to play hard with all of his friends in his foster home! He's great with all other dogs and crate trained. While we have not had Jules specifically around cats, several of the other dogs from this group are fostering with cats and doing great, so it is likely he would be fine with cats as well. Jules is looking for an experienced poodle/doodle home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard. We also want to mention that while these dogs are poodle/doodle mixes we have no idea how much poodle is actually in them and so we cannot say that they would be allergy friendly.   Interested in adopting? Story
Meet Rudy! Rudy is an adorable poodle mix who came to us from a hoarding/backyard breeding situation in South Georgia, along with 6 other dogs. We were told that Rudolph, who was part of the same group we rescued, is his brother and honestly they look so similar - we believe it! Rudy is about a year old and a sweet, sensitive soul.  He's great with all other dogs and cats and crate trained. Rudy is much more reserved than his brother, preferring to watch his friends play while he tries to figure out what it is they are doing. We doubt he had much opportunity to play or even just to enjoy being a playful, loved puppy in his former life. Rudy is looking for an experienced poodle/doodle home with at least one other adult dog and a fenced yard. We also want to mention that while these dogs are poodle/doodle mixes we have no idea how much poodle is actually in them and so we cannot say that they would be allergy friendly.   Interested in adopting?
