WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💎 Meet Crystal – A Delicate Gem Ready to Shine 💎 At 3 years old and 26 pounds, Crystal is a soft-hearted sweetheart who’s still learning that the world can be kind. Coming from a hoarding situation, she’s understandably shy with new people and experiences. What she needs most isn’t fancy or flashy—it’s patience, gentleness, and time to let her true sparkle emerge. Like her name, Crystal is something rare and beautiful. With a little warmth and a lot of love, she’ll transform from a fragile gem into a radiant, trusting treasure. She’s already showing her softer side (literally)—she’s discovered a deep appreciation for all things cozy: soft blankets, soft pillows, and soft beds. She’s decided that comfort is, in fact, the cat's meow...err, the dog’s bark! 🐾 Crystal does wonderfully with other dogs and would do best having a confident 4 legged sibling to help her fit in and feel comfortable. But cats? Yeah, that’s gonna be a ‘nope’ from her — she prefers friends who bark back She would also do best in a quieter home with no small kiddos, where her person was retired or works from home. Crystal doesn’t ask for much—just a safe home where she can finally rest, heal, and learn that love doesn’t have to be scary. She gives that adorable head tilt when she's pondering something. Once she trusts you, her affection shines through like sunlight through glass—steady, warm, and endlessly pure. She’ll reward your patience tenfold with quiet love, loyalty, and those gentle tail wags that mean everything. If you’re the kind of person who believes that the best treasures take time to reveal their beauty, Crystal is waiting for you. 💖 ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and help this hidden gem find her forever sparkle. ✨

Story
Lollipop is a little sweetheart and she has tons of personality! Her mom is a small B&W rat terrier mix and dad is a doodle. Mom was taken in as a stray by a lady with an unaltered doodle. Before she could find a rescue to help with mom, she became pregnant. Lollipop was the runt in the litter. She is friendly, loving and smart! She is also a major snuggler! She likes to wrap her head around your neck and nestle in! Lolli is great with other dogs and people of all ages. She has not been around a cat yet but we are confident she will be fine with proper intro. Being the runt, she always seems to end up on the bottom and she still plays hard and never gets mad! Lolli is healthy, UTD on puppy shots and worming. She will be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home. Based on puppy weight calculators we think she will be between 25 and 35 lbs. If you would like to add this sweetheart to your family, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or dogs4mylife@gmail.com. If you do not see a response, please check your spam folder.

Story
Meet Mitzi! Mitzi is a pint-sized Poodle/Shih Tzu mix with the cutest face and a truly playful soul. She is still learning that the world is a safe place, her resilient spirit shines through when she’s zooming around with her toys. She is a "gentle soul" seeking a quiet, patient home where she can blossom at her own pace. Because Mitzi is still finding her "brave," she’s looking for an adopter who celebrates the little wins—like the very first time she asks for a head scratch or masters a new routine. If you have a calm heart and plenty of room for a tiny shadow to grow in confidence, Mitzi is ready to start her happily-ever-after with you! Mitzie is estimated to be 3 years old and 11 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page for confirmed attendance the morning of the event: https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/ You do not need to have a Facebook account to check the Safe Hands Facebook page for attendance. We hope to see you at an upcoming Meet & Greet! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Sunflower the Goldendoodle mix born in 2023! She is your daily dose of sunshine, served with extra wiggles and a side of chaos. Sunflower was found roaming busy streets like she was late for an important meeting. She ended up at a local animal shelter, but sadly no one came to claim this golden ray of happiness. That’s when we stepped in. We brought her in for her spay day and, after removing what felt like several pounds of dirt and matting, discovered an absolute gem underneath. The glow-up was real, folks. Sunflower is a young pup with excellent intentions and questionable body control. She truly wants to be polite, but her wiggly enthusiasm sometimes takes the wheel. She knows basic commands, listens closely, and works very hard to be the goodest girl — even when her legs are doing their own thing. Being left alone is not her favorite hobby. If given the chance, she may redecorate. We’ve been working hard on crate training and she’s making good progress, but she will need to be crated when left alone, currently for no more than about 5 hours. She will let you know when you leave, so shared walls may not be ideal. At night, she sleeps peacefully on a bed right next to us like the loyal little shadow she is. When it comes to playtime, Sunflower plays BIG. If she thinks another dog wants to play, she goes all in — full enthusiasm, no brakes. She would do best with another dog who matches her same “pizzazz for life,” or with a human who is fully committed to meeting her exercise needs. She has a lot of young-dog energy and thrives on structure, routine, and training (and probably snacks). She would likely prefer a home without cats — she sometimes mistakes smaller dogs for play toys. Leashes are… confusing. Sunflower is still figuring those out, so a secure, fenced-in yard would be ideal while she continues her leash education. She also has very long legs and doesn’t always realize how tall she is. Because she is still young and learning body awareness, her family will need to understand that she may accidentally knock someone over when she gets excited. Sunflower is affectionate, joyful, hilarious, and full of potential. She will need time to settle in and adjust to her new home, so we encourage her future family to read and follow the 3/3/3 rule to help set her up for success. With patience, consistency, and a sense of humor, she’ll grow into an amazing companion — and she promises to keep life interesting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Story
“TUCKER” is a beautiful creamy white AKC Standard Poodle who was born June 23, 2015. He weighs a healthy 71 pounds and measures 25 inches from the floor to his withers. This pretty boy was one of many Poodles who came to us in April of 2024 from a Minnesota breeder who was retiring. She wanted the best homes for her Poodles as they enter their “retirement” years. Tucker was adopted but sadly has been returned to us as his new family had a life-changing event and could no longer keep Tucker. When Tucker first came to us from the breeder, he quickly learned all about being a family dog. He followed us around our home while being a part of our family, knew how to come when called, sat upon command and was always ready for hugs and attention. We had taken him to various public events, including several softball games that our grandchildren were playing in. While there, he had a good time enjoying the noise, commotion, and people all around him. He also received and enjoyed a lot of love, attention and hugs from many of the children at the games. Tucker is still a quiet, soft, gentle, easy-going big boy, a real cream puff. Going for his daily 2-mile walk with Mike when he listens to the birds sing, watching the squirrels running around and meeting people, he is on the TOP of his list of fun things he loves to do. I would also like to stress that he is a very smart boy and has quickly figured out what to do and when. Example, rattle the Cheerios bag and he knows it’s time for breakfast as Mike sneaks Tucker a few Cheerios from the bag. Did I tell you that he is such a very smart and a very good boy?! While Tucker has been around other dogs all his life, he completely ignores small dogs but is just fine with other easy-going large dogs, like our Standard Poodle Lola. Yet, Tucker has been a perfect boy all by himself as he considers himself a member of a family and NOT a dog. He continues to love greeting people who come to visit, is completely housetrained and has full access to our entire home all day, at night and when we are gone. Such a good boy! *A SECURLY FENCED YARD will be recommended as he has been a kennel dog and used to a fenced yard. *You must be physically able to handle a large Standard Poodle. *Preference will be given to a quiet family with past Standard Poodle experience. *Large, easy-going dogs are fine. BUT PLEASE: *NO puppies or cats. *NO aggressive or assertive dogs (they scare him and me). *NO young children. *Like most all rescue groups, we do NOT adopt our Poodles to homes more than 1 day’s drive (round trip) from our location here in central Minnesota. He has been neutered and at his dental appointments, he had many of his rotting teeth removed. He is now eating a hard kibble, so there is no need for soften or canned dog food. Tucker is such an amazing loving, smart and good boy that we want the best for him. Everyone loves him, including the staff at our Vet’s office as they all wanted to take him home! He has been Vet checked healthy, is up to date on vaccinations, worming, heartworm/lymes/Ehrlich/ Anaplasmosis (4DX) tested negative, placed on a heartworm preventative, and Home Again microchipped. Tucker’s adoption fee is $300.00 which includes $22.00 for our 7.875% Minnesota state sales tax and helps pay for just some of his vet work. Also included is his leash, collar, a bag of quality dog food, a 10-gallon dog food container, treats, a cute toy box, along with a new blanket, a large, soft dog bed and lots of good information to help your Poodle adoption move forward on the right paw! Again, Tucker is a very nice Standard Poodle boy who wants and truly deserves a loving “forever more” home for his “retirement”. Story
Say hello to “MAVIS” who is a very cute AKC Standard Poodle. She is a rare silver beige color and was born April 19, 2024. Mavis is on the smaller size of a Standard as she only weighs 46 pounds and stands about 21 inches tall. Mavis has been deeply loved and well cared for all of her life by a wonderful family. Sadly, with the health issues and increasing care required by their special needs child, it was decided that Mavis needed to be with another family. A most difficult decision, but one that had to be made. When Mavis first came to us, she was so confused, scared and sad as she missed her family. But with lots of love and attention from us and our other easy-going Poodles, Mavis quickly adjusted to our home in one day! Now when Mavis first meets people, she is a bit scared and unsure. But she does quickly warm up and enjoys your love and attention. What smart girl! Just grab her leash and she knows what’s going to happen next: “A WALK!! Yeah! Let’s go so I can see some more squirrels!” True to the Poodle breed, Mavis has strong hunting instincts. Mavis has been a perfect house dog (housetrained), so she has free access to our home when we are gone and at night. Then she likes to sleep on her bed or on the living room couch. This almost 2-year-old Poodle is also very quiet, easy-going, loving and gentle girl. She just loves attention, enjoys following us around, considers herself a family member and is just fine with men, women and older children. She also gets along just fine with our Standard Poodles and plays with “Rainey”. Keep in mind that she is still considered a puppy. So, with her silly and fun-loving puppy attitude, she can be little feisty towards our smaller Poodles. She would be fine in a home of her own as she has always been an only dog. But she has been great with other soft and easy-going, fun-loving larger dogs. Mavis really enjoys attention (call her name), she loves her treats, will muzzle your hand or will sit next to you on the couch while you give her hugs and cuddles. *A SECURLY FENCED YARD WILL BE RECOMMENDED. As the video shows, she loves to run those Poodle Zoomies. *You must be physically able to handle a smaller Standard Poodle. *Preference will be given to a quiet family with past Poodle experience. *PLEASE: *NO cats as she will chase them. *NO young children *No aggressive or assertive dogs as they scare her and me. *Like most all rescue groups, we do NOT adopt our Poodles to homes more than 1 day’s drive (round trip) from our location here in central Minnesota. She has been Vet checked healthy, spayed, teeth cleaned, vaccinations and worming are up to date. She is also Home Again microchipped and registered along with being heartworm / Lymes / Anaplasmosis / Ehrlich tested negative and placed on a preventative. As with all the other Poodles we have adopted, Mavis’s adoption fee is 1 million trillion, zillion dollars. However, for the right family her adoption fee is $800.00 which includes $58.00 for our 7.875% Minnesota state sales tax. This fee helps pay for some of her vet work, a leash, collar, a bag of quality dog food, a large 10-gallon dog food container, treats, dog toys in a cute toy box, a new blanket along, her large dog bed with lots of good information to help your Poodle adoption move forward on the right paw.
