Story
Hello! My name is Kizzi, and I am a 5-year-old Goldendoodle weighing 50 lbs. I’m an affectionate, loving girl who gets along with everyone. I absolutely adore people, and I love other dogs—big or small. I’m also friendly with cats. I have the sweet nature of a Golden Retriever and the intelligence of a Poodle, making me very smart and eager to please.   As a Goldendoodle, I’m naturally active and energetic. I’m looking for a family who enjoys walks, runs, and hikes—and who will help me master leash walking. I learn quickly and promise to keep up with all your fun family adventures!   My original owner was unable to work with me, but I know I’ll thrive in a forever home with a family that will challenge me and help me learn new things. I am already housebroken and crate-trained, making me an easy addition to your home.   To learn more about Kizzi and the adoption process, please email Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com or text 615-943-7311.  Approved application and adoption fee required.  Kizzi is in Nashville and can be transported north upon adoption.July 19, 2026, 6:58 pm

Story
Lady Lollipop—lovingly called “Lollie”—is as delightful as her name suggests. This beautiful 18-month-old Parti Doodle weighs 50 pounds and brings a perfect blend of playful energy and gentle affection to every moment. Lollie has grown up in a busy, love-filled home with eight children, including four foster kids, and she has proven herself to be incredibly adaptable, patient, and kind. She truly loves children and seems to understand how to match their energy—whether it’s playtime in the yard or settling in for some quiet companionship. This smart girl is already house-trained and eager to show off her skills. She knows how to play fetch and would happily spend hours chasing a ball or toy, especially if it means making her people smile. Lollie thrives on interaction and is always ready for the next adventure. What we have found about Lollie is that she is leash reactive with other dogs when out on walks or hiking trails.  We are not sure why since often she seems to be fine with dogs but recently we have found that she considers small dogs not to her liking and so we feel  that her best life would be lived with a fenced backyard (absolutely must have a home with a fenced yard) and not expected to be a social butterfly out for walks where other dogs might come running up toward her.  Car rides? One of her favorites. Running and playing outside? Even better.  She can be worked with over time but for now we are just saying it is best for her and her family to not expect her to be BFF with other dogs unless her size and introduced carefully.  This is her only marginal trait that needs work and no expectations of her changing right away.  Lollie is truly “as sweet as a lollipop”—affectionate, intelligent, and full of joy. She’s ready to bring her loving spirit into a forever home that will cherish her as much as she will cherish them.  If you are interested, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 19, 2026, 6:58 pm

Story
Stella is a 3.5-year-old, 45-pound dog whose life has been shaped by both deep love and repeated loss. None of it her fault. She was first surrendered to ACCT Philly due to seizures, placing her at risk with a time-stamped outcome. From there, she was rescued by Familiar Hearts Animal Society, given the care she needed, and finally adopted into a home of her own. For a while, Stella had what every dog deserves. But after nine months, she was returned. Again because of her seizures. And still, Stella remains exactly who she has always been :: a happy, gentle, deeply loving soul. She has a beautiful balance of energy, content to lounge by your side, yet quick to invite another dog into a playful game. She’s easy on leash, a wonderful walking companion, and adaptable to a variety of homes. Stella is especially tender with other animals, doing well with dogs and even cats, and she lights up around people, particularly children. Stella does have epilepsy, which means she will always experience seizures. Most are brief focal episodes lasting just seconds and don’t seem to interrupt her joy or engagement with life. Less frequently, she may have more significant seizures. She is on medication to help manage them, and her care team continues to learn what her “normal” looks like as her patterns evolve. What’s important to understand is this :: Stella is not a dog waiting to be fixed. She is a dog already living a full, connected, and joyful life. She is looking for a home that can meet her with steadiness and compassion. Someone who isn’t afraid of her diagnosis, but instead sees the extraordinary dog in front of them :: the one who keeps choosing joy, connection, and play, no matter how many times her world has changed. Stella has been let go more than once. She deserves this next home to be the one that holds. Apply to adopt her at https://www.familiarhearts.org/adoption-application. When approved, you can coordinate your meeting with her foster. Kennel License 18972

Story
Hello, my name is: FrankApprox. DOB: 07/15/2024Weight: 47 lbsSex/Breed: Neutered male Poodle mixRescued From: AbandonedAlone, scared, left to fend for himself… Frank has not had an easy life. When Frank was found on the side of the road, he was so matted he could barely open his mouth. We don’t know how long he was out on the streets, but we are so grateful he wasn’t hurt. Frank was quickly released of all of the painful matting throughout his coat and was given the opportunity to decompress in his foster home. It didn’t take long to see Frank’s true personality! He loves being part of a family. He doesn’t ask for much and is happy to do anything his foster family wants to. He’s super affectionate, laying his head on your shoulder as you pet him. He’ll gaze lovingly into your eyes as you talk to him, feeling like the most important boy in the whole world. Frank gets along great with other dogs, is living harmoniously with cats, and loves every human he has met. He flip-flops from playful to snuggly and back again. Frank is crate trained, house trained, walks nicely on leash, and is eager to please. Please help us find this handsome boy the second chance he deserves! All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting? Story
Meet Oscar Oscar is a 5-year-old, 60-pound standard poodle who is as smart as he is sweet, and ready to start his next chapter with a family who will truly cherish him. Oscar came to us after being surrendered alongside his mate and their puppies from an Amish breeder. While his past revolved around producing litters, Oscar is now getting the chance to simply be a dog and he’s settling into that role beautifully. He’s a thoughtful, curious boy who enjoys taking in the world around him. Whether he’s out on a walk or just observing his surroundings, Oscar shows a gentle confidence and an inquisitive nature. He walks well on leash, making him a wonderful companion for daily strolls and adventures. Oscar has been a good, cooperative boy with our volunteers, he allows handling with ease and has a calm, easygoing demeanor. Beneath his composed nature is a truly affectionate dog who enjoys connection and quiet attention from his people. He has lived with kids of all ages and done well, showing patience and a gentle presence that makes him a great potential family dog. As a poodle, Oscar is intelligent and will thrive with continued engagement, whether that’s training, enrichment, or simply being included in daily life. He’s the kind of dog who forms strong bonds and will be a loyal, loving companion to his future family. Oscar is a really special boy - steady, kind, and full of quiet charm. He’s ready to make one lucky family very happy. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested.
