Story
Dakota is a beautiful 1.8-year-old Pyredoodle** who was rescued from an unsafe situation and is now looking for a committed forever family. She’s about 60 lbs, spayed, vaccinated**, and still very much a playful young dog. Dakota is currently doing great with both small and large dogs and especially loves playing with her larger foster sibling. She enjoys two 30-minute walks a day and sleeps comfortably in her kennel at night. A previous adopter reported that Dakota jumped a 6-foot fence and had some issues with other dogs, but we have not seen those behaviors in her current foster home. She has also previously been reported as not good with cats, although her most recent adopter said she peacefully coexisted with one. It depends I guess. Dakota needs a family willing to provide exercise, consistency, patience, and continued training. She’s young, loving, and deserves someone committed to helping her become the wonderful dog we know she can be. And seriously... those eyelashes! **Dallas/Fort Worth, Complete your application today at Chloespetrescue.org/application Mom and dad, one is poodle and the other is a Pyr. Don’t know which was which. Adoption fee is $375

Story
Meet Harmony! A 1year old, 33 pound, Female, Doodle mix pup. Harmony, like any puppy, is a high-energy girl who is looking for her daily joys of running as fast as she can, playing with her toys and having anyone and everyone become her instant best friend. Whilst Harmony has high energy, it comes from a lack of stimulation. And we know from experience that Harmony would be an amazing dog with the proper guidance. We have had Harmony sent out to try dog athletics and obstacle courses, and she does amazing. Whilst we do our best, Harmony needs homes with a family that can give her the training, love and focus she needs. And when all is said and done, Harmony is a great cuddler. Harmony thrives on attention, and bonds quickly with anyone who gives her a chance. With a little structure and a lot of love, she’ll blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion she’s meant to be. Harmony might suit best as a sole dog of a home.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. Ideal Home -Sir Larrington has demands (of course, he does): a yard for energetic zoomies, a canine pal who enjoys romping and playing, a cozy couch for snuggles, and an open view on car-rides. -If you’re looking for a doodle to keep up with an active lifestyle, Larry is the dood. -As with all gentry, he needs a tutor to continue refining his manners and skills. Personality -Sir Larrington is adamant about affection. His hugs and cuddles are undeniable. -Don’t be fooled by his high-falootin’ name, this dood is as goofy as they come. -He enjoys his role as Neighborhood Welcome WAG-gin’, greeting humans and dogs alike on his walks. -After an inauspicious start in a local shelter, Sir Larrington quickly rose through the ranks, impressing everyone with his friendly, playful nature. -He will happily entertain himself if other playmates are busy. He will toss a ball for himself and pounce on it or gently mouth his toys as he winds down for the night. Is Sir Larrington Your Match? Sir Larrington’s adoption fee is $650. He is HW-negative, current on vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Sir Larrington a second chance. PECAS: Ready to Love Again Ideal Home -Pecas was surrendered to DDR after his person passed away. He is waiting for a special adopter, who will give him space and patience to adjust to his new home and people. -While he enjoys a romp in the yard or a good walk, given time, he’s also delighted to snuggle up on the sofa. -He is best suited for an experienced adult adopter or family with older teens, who can understand his signals when he needs space. -Continued training and positive reinforcement are crucial as he settles into a new environment. Personality -Pecas is sweet, snuggly, and super-smart! He is food-motivated and a quick study. -He loves having time with his people. He has done well with chill fur-buddies in his foster home, but would love to be your one-and-only! -He can’t talk, but manages to communicate very clearly! Between his body language and “grumbles,” he won't make you guess if things are not to his liking. -He tends to remove himself from the situation if he becomes uncomfortable, so adopters who can read and respect his boundaries are best. Pecas’s adoption fee is $650. He is heartworm negative, current on vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, neutered, and microchipped. Story
I took him in from someone who could no longer keep him because I didn’t want him to end up in the shelter. He’s still a young puppy and is very sweet, playful, loving, and full of energy. He loves attention and being around people. I’m looking for a safe, loving home with someone who has enough time to give him the attention, training, exercise, and care that a puppy needs. My work schedule has become very demanding, and I want to make sure he has the best life possible with a family who can spend more time with him.

Story
Alfie is a handsome 3-year-old Great Dane/Poodle mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and in excellent health. He's looking for an active family who can give him plenty of exercise and adventure. Alfie is a gentle giant who absolutely adores people. He has been raised in a home with four children and is incredibly loving, patient, and affectionate with kids of all ages. He enjoys being close to his family, lounging indoors, and soaking up attention from his favorite humans. Alfie is crate trained, leash trained and understands basic household routines. He knows basic commands such as sit and down, and he is eager to please. He is intelligent, affectionate, and thrives when he receives consistent structure and attention. Whether he's spending time with his family or showing off his good manners, Alfie is happiest when he is included in everyday life. One of Alfie's favorite activities is going for car rides. He happily loads up and enjoys being part of the adventure, whether it's a quick trip around town or a longer outing. He also does exceptionally well when boarded and adjusts comfortably to boarding environments, making him an easy companion for families who travel or occasionally need pet care services. Alfie currently lives with another large female dog and has been successful in that environment. However, he can be selective about other animals and would benefit from slow, proper introductions to any new pets. Because every dog relationship is different, we believe Alfie would thrive either as an only pet receiving all of the attention or in a home with an experienced owner who is willing to carefully manage introductions and ensure a good fit. Alfie enjoys having space to stretch his long legs, explore, and spend time outdoors, so a securely fenced yard would be ideal for him. While he enjoys outdoor time, he is happiest when he is with his family and included in daily life. Alfie has so much love to give and deserves a home that understands his needs and can provide the attention, stability, and companionship he craves. In return, he will reward his family with endless loyalty, affection, and plenty of goofy Great Dane charm. His adoption fee is $125. He is currently in a foster home, so if you are interested in making Alfie part of your family, please submit an adoption application located here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. September 17, 2026, 7:14 pm
