Story
Roxy is a sweet 12-year-old pup I brought home at 1 year old. She has always had the gentlest spirit and loves being close to her person — the kind of dog who would happily be petted for an hour. She’s calm, patient, great with kids, and friendly with other dogs. I always said she'd make a great therapy dog. She was part of a fantastic duo for 10 years with my labroodle who past away 2 years ago. I am looking for a very loving, quiet home where she can get lots of affection and companionship. Due to allergies and changes at home, I can’t give her the level of closeness she thrives on, and she deserves a family who can. Roxy has a disc issue and recently lost feeling in her left leg, so she has some mobility challenges. She is still full of love and peace and would be a wonderful companion for someone who can provide a soft, supportive senior-dog home.

Story
DFW area applications only.  Meet Six Seven — the math doesn’t add up, but the love sure does! Six Seven got his name because, well… nobody could quite agree if he was 6 or 7 years old. (Apparently, “almost 7” is a whole mood these days.) This handsome Standard Poodle–Aussie mix was surrendered by his previous owner, who told us he was a puppy. Spoiler alert: he’s not. But don’t tell him that — he still thinks he’s got his puppy charm and wiggle! Currently weighing in around 57 lbs, Six Seven could stand to gain a few — his ideal weight is closer to 75–85 lbs, and with regular meals and a comfy home, he’ll get there in no time. He’s got that Aussie intelligence, Poodle curls, and a heart big enough to fill your couch (and maybe your entire heart). &#226&#156&#168 The stats: Age: 6–7 years old (give or take a year of wisdom) Breed: Standard Poodle–Aussie mix Weight: 57 lbs (but working on his glow-up) Personality: Goofy, gentle, and secretly thinks he’s still a lapdog Grooming: He doesn’t shed, but his curly coat needs regular professional grooming — a small price for such fabulous hair! Good with: Dogs &#226&#156&#133 Cats &#226&#156&#133 House trained &#226&#156&#133 Six Seven was surrendered due to the owner moving out of the country — not because of any fault of his own. He’s now living his best life in foster care and waiting for his forever family to give him the love (and snacks) he deserves. Adoption fee: $500 Apply online today! If your application is selected, his foster will reach out to arrange a meet-and-greet with this distinguished gentleman.   Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society  We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Meet Harmony! A 7 month old, 29 pound, Female, Doodle mix pup. Harmony, like any puppy, is a high-energy girl who is looking for her daily joys of running as fast as she can, playing with her toys and having anyone and everyone become her instant best friend. If you’re searching for a dog who brings pure joy, laughter, and a whole lot of personality, Harmony might be the girl for you. This energetic, playful, endlessly enthusiastic girl is a one-dog pep rally, ready to cheer up during the mid-week work day. Harmony is the kind of pup who wakes up excited for the day and never stops believing something wonderful is about to happen. She loves playtime, walkies, zoomies, and anything that lets her stretch her legs and show off her happy-go-lucky spirit with her big goofy grin. Harmony thrives on attention, and bonds quickly with anyone who gives her a chance. With a little structure and a lot of love, she’ll blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion she’s meant to be. Harmony might suit best as a sole dog of a home, soaking up all the attention, but with the right play mate, she could do great with another dog friend. Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. Story
Meet Prim 🌸 — a sweet, easygoing 6-month-old, 21-lb poodle/mini goldendoodle who’s ready for her forever home. Prim is a dream on a leash, fully house-trained, and settling in beautifully as she gains confidence in her surroundings. She sleeps quietly in a crate at night (though she’d happily cuddle in bed with her humans) and prefers lounging in a cozy dog bed nearby during the day. She’s great with other dogs, loves playful backyard zoomies, and is gentle with smaller pups. Prim eats well, has wonderful indoor manners, and while she may bark at new sounds as she adjusts, her favorite thing is rolling over for belly rubs and soaking up love. If you’re looking for a young, low-maintenance, affectionate companion with a playful side, Prim just might be your girl 💛

Story
🐾 Meet Apollo! 🐾 Say hello to Apollo, a 4-year-old Poodle mix with a big heart and a confident personality! ✨ Apollo is a smart, fun, and loving boy who enjoys spending time with his people and being part of the action. He can be a bit of an alpha with other dogs, so he’d do best with calm, easygoing canine friends — or as the only dog where he can soak up all the attention. Because he’s energetic and knows what he wants, we’re recommending a home with kids 9 and up who understand how to give dogs space and respect their boundaries. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’ll keep you smiling every day, Apollo might be your perfect match! 💙

Story
Petty is a new arrival .He was at a local shelter and in danger of being put down. His owner dropped him off at a shelter and said she found him as a stray so the shelter would take him. Poor Guy! He took a minue to warm up on the way out of the shelter but in five minutes he was laying his head in our lap. He is super sweet. He seems to like calm dogs and not dogs that jump around alot. He only weighs 24 lbs and is about 11 months old.  We aren't sure what breed he is but he was recently shaved and will most likely have fluffy hair like his face. ##2613545##
