Story
Ziva is a beautiful, intelligent, and affectionate 3 year old Standard Poodle who bonds deeply with all people. She was rescued at approximately 5 weeks old and later adopted from the local Humane Society at 4 months old. She is very people-oriented, emotionally sensitive, and thrives in a calm, structured environment with consistent routines. She is smart, learns quickly with positive reinforcement, and loves walks, toys, and especially her ball, which is her favorite way to play and burn energy. We are seeking a very specific home for her long-term success and safety. She must be an only dog with no cats or other animals. An adult-only home (teens are okay) is strongly preferred. She does have epilepsy, which is well managed with medication. She is stable and lives a happy, active life with proper care. Veterinary records will be provided. This decision was made with great love and care. Our goal is to place her in a home where she can be the sole focus and truly thrive.

Story
DFW area applications only.  Meet Six Seven — the math doesn’t add up, but the love sure does! Six Seven got his name because, well… nobody could quite agree if he was 6 or 7 years old. (Apparently, “almost 7” is a whole mood these days.) This handsome Standard Poodle–Aussie mix was surrendered by his previous owner, who told us he was a puppy. Spoiler alert: he’s not. But don’t tell him that — he still thinks he’s got his puppy charm and wiggle! Currently weighing in around 57 lbs, Six Seven could stand to gain a few — his ideal weight is closer to 75–85 lbs, and with regular meals and a comfy home, he’ll get there in no time. He’s got that Aussie intelligence, Poodle curls, and a heart big enough to fill your couch (and maybe your entire heart). &#226&#156&#168 The stats: Age: 6–7 years old (give or take a year of wisdom) Breed: Standard Poodle–Aussie mix Weight: 57 lbs (but working on his glow-up) Personality: Goofy, gentle, and secretly thinks he’s still a lapdog Grooming: He doesn’t shed, but his curly coat needs regular professional grooming — a small price for such fabulous hair! Good with: Dogs &#226&#156&#133 Cats &#226&#156&#133 House trained &#226&#156&#133 Six Seven was surrendered due to the owner moving out of the country — not because of any fault of his own. He’s now living his best life in foster care and waiting for his forever family to give him the love (and snacks) he deserves. Adoption fee: $500 Apply online today! If your application is selected, his foster will reach out to arrange a meet-and-greet with this distinguished gentleman.   Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society  We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Meet Harmony! A 7 month old, 29 pound, Female, Doodle mix pup. Harmony, like any puppy, is a high-energy girl who is looking for her daily joys of running as fast as she can, playing with her toys and having anyone and everyone become her instant best friend. If you’re searching for a dog who brings pure joy, laughter, and a whole lot of personality, Harmony might be the girl for you. This energetic, playful, endlessly enthusiastic girl is a one-dog pep rally, ready to cheer up during the mid-week work day. Harmony is the kind of pup who wakes up excited for the day and never stops believing something wonderful is about to happen. She loves playtime, walkies, zoomies, and anything that lets her stretch her legs and show off her happy-go-lucky spirit with her big goofy grin. Harmony thrives on attention, and bonds quickly with anyone who gives her a chance. With a little structure and a lot of love, she’ll blossom into the loyal, affectionate companion she’s meant to be. Harmony might suit best as a sole dog of a home, soaking up all the attention, but with the right play mate, she could do great with another dog friend. Story
🐾 Meet Apollo! 🐾 Say hello to Apollo, a 4-year-old Poodle mix with a big heart and a confident personality! ✨ Apollo is a smart, fun, and loving boy who enjoys spending time with his people and being part of the action. He can be a bit of an alpha with other dogs, so he’d do best with calm, easygoing canine friends — or as the only dog where he can soak up all the attention. Because he’s energetic and knows what he wants, we’re recommending a home with kids 9 and up who understand how to give dogs space and respect their boundaries. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’ll keep you smiling every day, Apollo might be your perfect match! 💙

Story
Kiera is a beautiful 3-year-old standard poodle who came to us as a breeder release and is just now learning what it truly means to be cherished. Despite her past, her spirit is incredibly gentle, sweet, and affectionate. One of her favorite things in the world is to lean against you like a soft, loving embrace — her quiet way of saying, “I choose you.” Kiera is crate trained and fully housebroken, walks nicely on a leash, and rides calmly in the car. She does wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children, making her an easy fit for just about any loving home. She has a calm, peaceful presence and a heart that simply wants to belong. Kiera is the kind of dog who doesn’t demand attention — she earns it with soft eyes, a gentle lean, and unwavering devotion. After everything she’s been through, she deserves nothing less than a life filled with comfort, patience, and unconditional love. If you’re searching for a loyal companion with a tender soul, Kiera may be your perfect match.   Adoption Application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/13108/generic Amazon Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/14C2FGVGHQCWR?ref_=wl_share ##2581028##

Story
Daisy is new to our rescue. She came to us when her breeder closed down. We are still learning about her personality. Her foster says that she is great with dogs of all sizes and adores children. She walks well on a leash and is crate trained. She was a little on the thin side and her foster has been giving her extra snack to help her put on a few pounds. Daisy is AKC registered. She is 9 months old and weighs about 40 pounds. ##2528447##
