Story
Logan loves hugs! Logan is a 7.5 year old Border Collie mix that is currently on a diet and hoping to lose about 10 lbs. Although, according to his DNA, Logan is primarily a herder (19% Border Collie, 13% Australian Cattle, 8% Great Pyrenese) and a sporting dog (13% Labrador Retriever), he isn't defined by those percentages - he doesn't herd or sport. Mostly, he loves and hugs and smiles. Raised in household with several young, loud and rambuncous children, Logan loves children and knows how to connect with them on their level. He's usually not afraid of big noises and he knows a cry needs a cuddle. His old household also had a cat - so Logan is chill with cats too. Logan spent a lot of his life outdoors looking in, so he has no desire to be outside anymore - unless he's going on walk. He's housetrained and crate trained, and has gotten comfortable sleeping in the bed through tthe night. Logan has a bit of separation anxiety when left at home alone - he likes to suck on something with a scent (pillow, fleece jacket,etc.). He never destroys the item, he just leaves it soaking wet. Logan is low energy (espcially or a Border). He enjoys laying around INSIDE the house, sleeping, and following his human everywhere they go. He tried running once and 10 out of 10 would not recommend. Logan is in heaven if he's got his three favorite things: hugs/cuddles, food/treats, and walks... oh, and a human (really any human). Logan knows the basic commands - sit, lay, stay. And his stay command (not darting out the front door or the car) has come a long way in the last three months. He is not food aggressive and knows to wait until released to start eating. Logan had heartworms in 2021, but he made a full recovery and even went to live with a new family that had several other dogs. He loved his new family, but they moved and were unable to take him, so he went back to his original family and has been a super healthy boy since then - up to date with all of his vaccinations and preventatives. Logan is looking for a new home now because his old family moved out of the city and couldn't commit to his care. Logan is a super chill, super loving and always smiling baby. He'd do well anywhere, but I know he'd love at least one kiddo to love on. Story
Max The Protector Our beautiful boy Max is an 18 month old Border Collie and Australian Shepherd mix who was headed to the pound last November when we rescued him. He is very high energy, extremely loyal, driven and protective and keeps watch over our home through the windows and through the fence when heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s in the yard. As is common with this breed, Max barks a lot while protecting his territory. He is inquisitive and can get into anything within his reach looking for food or something to chew on. Max is very fast and agile and loves to run like the wind after the frisbee and to catch a ball on the first bounce and take a victory lap around the yard. He is perceptive, extremely smart and learns quickly. He would be a truly great agility dog. Unfortunately, he has learned to climb our chain link fence and visit other dogs in the neighborhood. We canâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t keep him safe. Max knows the commands come, sit, stay, wait, down, off, ball, out, over, give, shake and go to bed. He is house trained, crate trained, micro chipped, neutered and up to date on his vaccines as well as heartworm negative and gets monthly flea and tick meds. He is highly affectionate, loves to interact with people or to lie quietly at your feet. Max loves to play tug of war and chase the ball and works puzzles very quickly to earn his treats. He is very fond of belly rubs, riding in the truck and working to get treats. He does not like cats. Max can get over excited when a visitor comes into the house. Max would do best in a family with other dogs or older children to run and play with. He needs acreage or a large yard with a tall wooden fence. We are elderly and canâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t provide the activity level he needs. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Max, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Logan was my mother's dog, although I have been responsible for his healthcare for the last four years while he lived with her. Recently my mother moved out of the city (2 hours away) and left Logan behind. I took him in (as he is my dog's brother), but two dogs is proving to be too much for me, so I want to find Logan a home of his own. Logan lived in a home with another dog, a cat and young children - he does well with all of them. He absolutely LOVES children. He is gentle and sweet, and really is the perfect dog. He loves to give hugs and he smiles ALL THE TIME. He is a glass half full kind of guy! He could use a bit more training - but he walks well on a leash, he knows sit, lay and stay, and he is not food aggressive even in the slightest. Logan is not a high energy dog - he is fine sitting around the house all day without the need to be running or going in and out in the backyard.

Story
Age: 2 years Age: 2 years Weight: 32 lbs  Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids:  Selective Activity level: Medium Shedding: Low Vocal level: Medium Training: Crate, Doggy Door, Mostly Potty Trained Maddy is a petite little girl with a shepherd face and the cutest pointy ears and underbite. She had her back right leg amputated and is happier and faster than ever! She was born with a deformed leg that our vet determined was causing her pain and made it harder for her to get around. Maddy is timid around new people, but with a little time (and plenty of treats!) she warms up and understands you are safe to be around. She adapts to adults faster than children and will probably do better in a home with no kids or older, patient kids. Maddy does great with other dogs and loves to play with her foster siblings! She also likes to spend time hanging out in the backyard or napping on the couch.March 22, 2025, 8:37 am

Story
COURTESY POST: Reba is a sweet and loyal 3-year-old, 33 lb Blue Heeler/Beagle mix. She has lots of energy and has a big personality. She is fearless and spunky. Reba thrives in an adult-oriented home, where she can enjoy the company of her humans without the unpredictable energy of young children. While she's a sweetheart, her skittishness around little ones suggests she'd be happiest in a calmer environment. She craves human interaction and thrives in a home where she's included as a member of the family. Reba's charming mix brings together the intelligence and loyalty of the Blue Heeler with the gentle nature and affectionate spirit of the Beagle. Reba loves to run and play in the yard, chasing squirrels and relishing in the freedom of open spaces. But when the day is done, she transforms into the ultimate cuddle buddy, snuggling up beside you for a cozy evening. She truly hasn't met a stranger and is eager to greet you. If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and spirited companion, Reba might just be the perfect match! We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be inside dogs who have been spayed/neutered and are on heartworm prevention. All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.

Story
Boomer, also known as, 'Boomies,' is a sweet, loyal, and protective 2-year-old Aussiedoodle. He is very playful and LOVES to spend time outside playing chase with other dogs. He also has a favorite blue ball he will play fetch with. After breakfast and morning playtime he prefers to make himself cozy in his mom or dadâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s office, where he snoozes until they get up from their chairs. He is a loyal little shadow, following his people around the house. Boomer is a social butterfly with other dogs when he is off leash. His favorite place to go is doggy daycare where he can see his other pup friends and play all day. Boomer also enjoys hopping in the car with his people. He prefers to either ride in baby sisterâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s car seat when sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s not in it or on the console to be right next to mom. He is a Starbucks addict like his mom, and will wait quietly in the drive thru for his â&#194&#128&#194&#156pup cup.â&#194&#128&#194&#157 Boomer is very intelligent and learns routines quickly. He responds to â&#194&#128&#194&#156treatâ&#194&#128&#194&#157 and will run inside from the backyard when he hears the word. While he also loves going on walks and willingly and excitedly puts on his harness, he can be reactive to certain dogs while on walks. He is extremely loyal and doesnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t know he is a small dog. He has a bite history because he was in a situation where he thought he had to protect his owner and was triggered by a combination of a chaotic environment and an aggressive person who was wearing a hat. He has not ever tried to bite another person since that incident. At night, Boomer lets us know he is ready for bed by jumping in our laps and nuzzling his head on us. He enjoys cuddling with his owners before he makes his way to the foot of the bed. During the night sometimes he will make his way closer to his owners or dog sister to snuggle. Boomer was previously a farm dog who lived with a large pack of dogs and did not have much exposure to people or experiences. He has made tremendous progress since we rescued him from a bad environment a year ago. He is SUCH a good boy and deserves a loving and patient family who can provide an opportunity for him to have experiences he did not get as a puppy. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Boomer, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
