Story
Hi I am Briar Rose! I am a sweet girl that is looking for a place to call home furever. I can be a bit shy and can scare pretty easily so ideally I would like a calm and quiet home where I can build my confidence.FOSTER TESTIMONIAL: "Once Briar is comfortable with you she loves to get belly rubs, snuggles and loves that you play catch with her. She also loves to be trained, we trained the whole week with treats and she clearly knows now the words sit, stay, leave it, heel, no, paw and lay down. Briar also can stay by herself at home pretty well without a crate. I left her two days in a row by herself for 2-3 hours (with camera) and she just slept the whole time. We got to completely house train her and she doesn't chew or go anywhere she isn't allowed to. Briar also knows how to potty and pee outside and in a pad."Dogs? I can be a little picky about my friends so I would really like to meet any other dogs in the home.If you are interested in meeting me, Come on in! We are open every day 12pm - 6pm. Can't wait to meet you.I'm also available for Foster-to-Adopt if you want to take me home before committing to fur-ever!

Oh my gosh, are you here to read more about little ol’ me? Oh, where do I start! Well, I’m just a happy doggo trying to live my best life and match up with a new family. DAS is helping me search, isn’t that cool? We’re still getting to know each other, but I think we’re going to find me some great friends. I’ve let them know that I enjoy long walks on warm evenings, trying all kinds of new snacks, and chewing on doggie toys. Who doesn’t love those things? Speaking of snacks, I’ve heard that Dallas is an exciting doggie-friendly place for food enthusiasts! I’d love to check out a few patios some day with my new family. Does that sound like something you’d enjoy, too? I sure hope so… maybe you could click that “Adopt Me” button and we’ll get to know each other better!

Story
Penny is a wonderful, smart and playful border collie mix, about 4-5 years old. We adopted her from a rescue in Houston in 2019. During the pandemic, she began exhibiting some defensive behaviors (possessive of objects, not friendly to strangers at the home). We have done extensive training with her over the years and she is super smart and responsive to training. She loves mental stimulation. Penny is still not comfortable with strangers (non-family members) at our house and we are making the painful decision to rehome her because we now have two young kids and desperately need childcare assistance. However, Penny can be very friendly outside of our house (especially when we are not present). For example, she does daycare and boarding and loves playing with other dogs and staff members. We believe she would do best in a home that can help her learn to interact with strangers at home, can teach her crate training, or otherwise has space for her to relax separately away from guests.

Story
I got a call from a friend who works at a shelter that a super sweet pup was going to be put down… for the last 5 years I have had Cody and enjoyed all the pets and cuddles. Unfortunately my landlord at the house I rent with friends has determined he should not allow pets on the property. For this reason I am reluctantly looking to rehome Cody as my friends and I have been unable to find a similar home in our area that will allow him.

Story
Bruno is a 4-year-old lab and border collie or boxer mix with a sprinkle of pittie. Bruno is a big lovebug. He loves to cuddle and bonds quickly with humans. Bruno has so much love to give!

Bruno is an extremely well-behaved boy. He loves adventures and does great on car rides. He knows a couple of basic commands. Although Bruno does not like being in a crate, he does great when left alone in the home for several hours. He also plays well with other dogs including smaller breeds.

Bruno would do best with a family with a defined schedule. He likes consistency and misses his humans if they are gone for too long. He would also like to have daily cuddle sessions!

Story
Meet Daisy Duke, a 2-year-old female dog bursting with energy and affection. Daisy's social skills shine as she effortlessly interacts with cats, dogs, and children, making her an ideal addition to any family.

Originally surrendered by her owner, Daisy spent a year in a small apartment with a single mom and an infant. A border collie mix, Daisy's intelligence is evident, but she craves engagement to keep her busy mind stimulated. Over the past two weeks, Daisy has settled into her new environment, showing remarkable progress in confidence.

Despite her young age, Daisy exhibits puppy-like behavior, eagerly seeking playtime with humans and dogs alike. A regular at the dog park, she adores romping with furry friends. Daisy's training journey is just beginning, with GoodPup classes.

Daisy's energy peaks in the morning but mellows out after playtime and breakfast. She loves her playmate Jimmy, a red heeler, and respects the older dog in the household, Buster. Daisy's love language is devotion, sticking by your side to shower you with affection.

Daisy thrives with an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures. She's an excellent car rider and relishes hikes, runs, and camping trips. With her captivating eyes and playful spirit, Daisy is ready to be your loyal adventure buddy.

Story
Mitzi (6y/o) came to us almost two years ago. She is sweet, loyal, affectionate and attached at the hip to whomever will allow it. She is smart and can likely be trained. We didn't know when we took her in, but we suspect she has been in an abusive home before ours. She seems to be pretty anxious and protective of her humans. She needs a family to take care of her who has a lot of time to dedicate to her. She gets pretty sad when she doesn't get to spend time near her family. She enjoys being in the same room, if not next to a person at all times. We have a cat in our home and after months of slowly socializing them, they can be in the same room together without issue. A few weeks after we took her in, she had an incident where she bit another dog without provocation. The incident was documented and for a time we were afraid that she would be hostile towards other dogs, indefinitely. We have been walking her and have seen her improve in her ability to be around other dogs.

Molly is a good girl with a loving owner, who unfortunately can't care for her anymore due to age, illness, and loss of mobility. Molly's a big girl with a big heart. She still has the energy to run and play in the back yard, but is an inside girl who is happy just to curl up in her bed (or by you on the couch if you'll let her). It's important we find Molly a good home she'll be as love in as she is in her current home

Story
Meet Buoy! A delightful 8-year-old Border Collie originating from Liberty, MO, whose personality mirrors the charm of her hometown! Buoy's playful nature shines brightest in the presence of balls or squeaky toys, reveling in games of fetch and strolls through the neighborhood. While Buoy may initially seem apprehensive, beneath that facade lies a heart of gold waiting to be embraced. Her natural herding instincts occasionally surface, unintentionally creating a slightly tense atmosphere as she gathers her loved ones around. Therefore, she would be most comfortable in a home without small children. Buoy's intelligence shines through her mastery of various commands, showcasing her prowess in the world of canine academia. However, her interactions with others may sometimes be tinged with anxiety, highlighting her need for a supportive environment where she can truly flourish. On the health front, Buoy is fully vaccinated, spayed, and house-trained. With a balanced energy level, she effortlessly blends playfulness with serene companionship, bringing endless joy and solace to her human family! In essence, Buoy transcends the role of a mere pet; she's a cherished member of the family, with her endearing quirks and steadfast loyalty. With the right environment and a touch of understanding, she pledges to infuse boundless love and companionship into any home fortunate enough to welcome her! SWEET SWEET SWEET! Found as a stray dumped in the country. Amazingly, Finn has a great temperament and has been evaluated by an accredited behaviorist. He passed all his tests with flying colors. We are happy to share her evaluation with any prospective family. Finn is about 3 years old, neutered, current on vaccinations, hw negative and microchipped. He is learning about toys in his foster home and how to live inside. Finn LOVES people! He kissed the vet, the tech, and everyone in the waiting room at the vet clinic. Finn is very smart and catches on quickly to what you are teaching him. He will make a fabulous addition to the right family. Hi there, my name is Zaika and I am a sweet girl who is looking for a forever home to call my own! I can be a little bit shy at first and I might need a little bit of reassurance, but once you gain my trust I am the sweetest girl ever and I can show you all of my cool tricks like sit, down, and shake! Dogs? Sure! I have done well with other dogs and you are more than welcome to bring your dogs to meet me if you'd like, but it is not required! Cats? Hmm... I'm going to have to say no thanks! I have interacted with cats before and I am not a huge fan of them. If you have any kiddos in the home I don't think I'll mind them! However, since I can be a bit shy at first I will need to meet any younger kiddos in the home before I leave to make sure I am comfortable with them! Come on in and meet me any day between 12PM-6PM at 2400 Lone Star Dr!

Hi I'm Spike! I am a really sweet boy looking for a place to call home! Come visit me this Saturday at the Dallas Farmers Market from 10AM-2PM! The address is 920 S Harwood St, Dallas, TX 75201 I'm super sweet and would love to meet you! The staff say I already know sit, learning to walk nice, love my harness, and I'm very treat motivated. Imagine the commands and tricks I could learn with my food motivation - I'd be the star of the show and you could show off my skills!Foster Testimonial: "Spike is such a happy go lucky boy.He is friendly with people and dogs and he takes treats very gently. He is possibly house trained, as he goes potty outside right away. Spike does love snacks :) He really seemed to love getting attention, pets and scratches.. his fur is super soft and fluffy. His tongue seems to always hang out adorably. He will make a great companion and will love his forever human loyally!""He is VERY loving and easy-going-- he seeks attention and will give hugs and rest his head on your lap, giving you "puppy dog" eyes. Spike also slept in his crate at night and was quiet; he didn't chew up his bedding and kept his space clean. He's a GREAT dog and made quite a positive impact on all of us, including our dog."Dogs: I am the best with other dogs! I am super playful though so I like when my pals can keep up!Kids: I want to meet everyone so bring them in to the meet and greet. I have a lot of energy so older kiddos might be best. Come meet me any day between 12p and 6p at 2400 Lone Star Dr. Dallas TX 75212!
