Story
Maggie may have spent time on her own, but sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s off to a great start getting to know all her new friends. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s met both big dogs and little dogs, and even when her curiosity gets the best of her, she takes a cue from her new friends. Cats will keep her amused, even if they are uninterested in her. She knows how to walk on her leash, sleep in her crate, and take care of business outside. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s played well with young children, but she can benefit from the loving guidance of adults to help her become more confident. Sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll learn from a family who wants to help her become her best self. In her eyes, youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re everything! Maggie has plenty of energy and will enjoy getting out for a run in addition to her walks. She loves toys, catching a ball, and playing tug. For a family with lots of love to offer to her, sheâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll steal your heart, and youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll love her anyway! All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. ð&#194&#159&#194&#144¾ Meet Harper! ð&#194&#159&#194&#144¾ Hi, my name is Harper! Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m a 2-year-old, ~45 lb. Boxer/Border Collie mix with lots of love and energy to share. Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m strong, playful, and happiest when I have someone to run around with. I absolutely love fetchâ&#194&#128&#194&#148and yes, Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll always bring the ball or toy back! Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m also a big fan of the outdoors and would love to have a yard where I can stretch my legs and play. Right now, I live in a high-rise with no outdoor space, but I dream of having more room to run. When playtime is over, Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m a sweet cuddler who loves to curl up with my humans. If theyâ&#194&#128&#194&#153re busy, Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d be so happy to have a furry friend or a playful human buddy to keep me company. â&#194&#156¨ The basics: Age: 2 years old Breed: Boxer/Border Collie mix Health: Healthy, fully immunized Special note: I used to eat too fast, but my slow feeder keeps me happy and healthy! In short: Iâ&#194&#128&#194&#153m a loving, active pup who just wants to cuddle, run, and play. I'm being rehomed because my family is having to move. Good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Kept indoors, Loves her crate. Crate trained for company visits and also trained not to get on beds or furniture when loose in home. Responds to hand signals for sit and lay down. Does not tear up things left out such as toys and clothes. Does not get on counters or beg at the table. Walks well on the leash unless another dog approaches. We found her during lock down roaming the streets at 6 months old. At that time she loved people and other dogs. We had her spayed and chipped. Unfortunately, she and I were attacked by a loose dog on a walk and she was seriously injured. After that, she does not like other dogs and I muzzle her for vet visits. Once someone is introduced, she loves guests. She has lived with cats but lately has gotten too jealous and intolerant towards our cat. I believe with the right training and exercise she would make someone happy. She is temporarily living with my elderly mom keeping her company and guarding her house but she is too much for her to bath.

We adopted her 6 months ago from the animal shelter. She is high energy and we are in our late 60’s. We also travel regularly and have to leave her with dog boarder often. She is very sweet and loving but too much for us to handle. She can be protective and we often have workers at our home or people staying with us.

Story
Riggins is a 6-year-old, 40-pound Blue Heeler mix with a goofy personality and a heart full of love. I have had him since he was just 6 weeks old, and he has always been an energetic, playful boy who loves being outside and running around. Like a typical heeler, he can be very vocal and mouthy during playtime. Riggins is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines, so he is fully ready for his next chapter. He has lived around ducks and did wonderfully with them, and he absolutely adored the one child he has spent time with — immediately deciding that little boy was “his human.” As Riggins has gotten older, he has developed more anxiety, especially in busy environments with multiple high-energy dogs. He currently lives with several other dogs, including young puppies, and while he does enjoy playing, he can become overwhelmed in group settings. When overstimulated, he may bark, growl, or snap at the other dogs, though he has never injured another animal. Because of this, I truly believe Riggins would thrive in a calmer home with either no other dogs or perhaps one or two older, laid-back companions. He needs an experienced adopter who understands herding breeds and is willing to continue providing structure, patience, and guidance. He has worked with trainers and has even been on daily anxiety medication, but despite every effort, it has become clear that his current environment simply is not the best fit for him. Riggins is house trained, crate trained, and does fairly well on a leash, although he can pull when excited. He is incredibly affectionate and deeply loyal to his people. His ideal home would have plenty of space to run and explore — preferably with land or a large yard — and a calmer atmosphere where he can feel secure and relaxed. Rehoming him has been an incredibly difficult decision made entirely out of love and the desire to give him the life he truly deserves. He really is a sweet, energetic boy who just needs a different environment to help him thrive. Riggins is loyal, loving, goofy, and full of personality, and with the right home, he has so much happiness left to give. Apply to adopt Riggins today! While she loves playing in water, she is not particularly fond of baths which is hilarious. Riley is also affectionate and loves to cuddle. She will happily accompany you to every room! Meet Pope – Your Adventure Buddy & Couch Companion 🐾 Pope is a handsome, affectionate 4.5-year-old, 60 lb Heeler/Great Pyrenees mix with a heart of gold and a love for life’s simple joys—especially belly rubs, tasty treats, and car rides (his absolute favorite!) With his soft coat, soulful eyes, and gentle demeanor, Pope is as charming as he is loyal. After the unexpected passing of his devoted owner, Pope was taken into temporary care and has been patiently waiting for a second chance at a forever home. He is up to date on vaccinations and has been well cared for, including management of occasional mild skin and ear sensitivity. Pope has a moderate energy level and truly offers the best of both worlds—he enjoys walks, games of fetch, and tagging along for adventures, but he’s just as content relaxing on the couch by your side. He forms strong bonds with his people and loves being near them, happily soaking up affection whenever it’s offered. Pope has lived with other dogs before; however, he can be protective of his food and toys, so he would thrive best as the only pet where he can fully relax and enjoy his space. With an experienced and patient owner, he may be able to live with a calm, more submissive dog. His compatibility with cats and children is currently unknown. He would benefit from a home that can provide structure, continued training, and regular activity like walks or outings. Pope is house-trained and understands home routines well. He is still working on leash manners and would benefit from continued guidance to help him build confidence and consistency on walks. He is a smart, eager companion who will flourish with an owner willing to invest time in training and leadership. Pope was rehomed through no fault of his own—his transition is solely due to the loss of his previous owner—and he has shown incredible resilience and sweetness through it all. Pope is a loving, loyal boy who brings warmth, companionship, and just the right amount of playful energy to a home. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will happily join you for adventures and cozy nights in, Pope is ready to fill that role with his whole heart. Apply to adopt Pope today! 💙 This pet is participating in the Dallas Pets Alive rehoming program. All of the medical, behavioral and other information about this pet was provided by the pet’s owner.
