Story
It's the Great Adoption Post, Charlie Brown! Meet Charlie Brown, a spunky, zesty lil fireball of a dog in a pint-sized package. Weighing in around 30-35 lbs, he's sitting pretty right at about 1 year old, neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped and up to date on shots. Charlie has had a bit of a rough start with two other owners before we were able to swoop in and provide him with sanctuary and love. With his coat medium/long in length, a bushy tail, and that happy smile he radiates, is sure to capture the hearts of others He initially came to us super fearful and scared but we could see it in his eyes how bad he wanted to learn how to be a dog. Charlie's energy is like that of an energizer bunny, he could definitely keep going and going. His style is fast but mild at the same time, making great dog friends along the way. He does however seem to mistake big white fluffy dogs for sheep, so keep that in mind! Oops! Since this buddy is of the heeler lineage, he loves the mental stimulation of having a job or a task. He also adores his routines and would benefit greatly to have a backyard, a few walkies, and snuffle mats. He would do wonderfully also in a family without young children or cats, as he can get spooked by people sneaking up near him if he doesn't know recognize you at first. Once he knows you're never going to harm him, he lets his guard down and slowly will solicit pets from you too! He knows 'sit' 'paw or highfive' and 'down' and would also enjoy some dog agility classes as well ti keep his brain stimulated. Charlie Brown is crate trained, potty trained and super smart with that mind of his. He's also a quick learner and just wants to please his people after a long day of play or hard work. In a perfect world, I would love to see this dog thriving again with the right home that understands heelers/shepherds. We adore this lil guy and are wanting him to have the best life ever, 3rd times the charm! In conclusion if you fancy a sporty lil fluffball of a dog whose loyal, smart, and happy to exist, let's set that meet and greet Thank you guys so much for stopping by his page!! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Charlie Brown, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
She's just over 2 years old and full of love! This sweet girl is incredibly cuddly and affectionate. she absolutely adores being around people and thrives on love and attention. She is well-trained, knows how to mind, and is fully potty trained (goes outside or uses a pee pad when needed). While she's a wonderful companion, she sadly doesn't get along with our other puppy, which is why we're looking for a new home where she can be the center of attention. She'd do best in a calm, loving environment without other dogs. She's also a bit scared of storms, so she needs someone who can offer her comfort and safety during those times. We're looking for someone who will truly cherish her and someone who sees her gentle heart and will give her the same love she gives so freely. Adjectives to describe her: Loving, cuddly, loyal, gentle, obedient, and sensitive.

Story
Dakota is a sweet boy who would do well with anyone who has love to give. He enjoys basking in the sun or lounging next to you. He's has been raised in a home with children, cats, and an older do and he does really well with them all. He's a friendly guy, although he may bark or react a little when meeting new people, but once he gets a good sniff, he settles right in. He is kennel trained, well-mannered indoors, and loves his meals topped with kefir (though he thinks every treat is a good treat!). Dakota does get a little anxious during loud storms but otherwise has a very easygoing nature.

Crate trained Potty trained Leash trained (walks off-leash once he trusts you) Loves open fields and running around Great with calm and welcoming dogs Prefers a proper introduction before being petted, as he can be a little nervous at first Tends to bond quicker with women, but once he warms up, he’s deeply loyal regardless of gender A little drooler—but it’s part of his charm! Story
Age: 2 years Age: 2 years Weight: 32 lbs  Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Unknown Good with kids:  Selective Activity level: Medium Shedding: Low Vocal level: Medium Training: Crate, Doggy Door, Mostly Potty Trained Maddy is a petite little girl with a shepherd face and the cutest pointy ears and underbite. She had her back right leg amputated and is happier and faster than ever! She was born with a deformed leg that our vet determined was causing her pain and made it harder for her to get around. Maddy is timid around new people, but with a little time (and plenty of treats!) she warms up and understands you are safe to be around. She adapts to adults faster than children and will probably do better in a home with no kids or older, patient kids. Maddy does great with other dogs and loves to play with her foster siblings! She also likes to spend time hanging out in the backyard or napping on the couch.March 22, 2025, 8:37 am

Story
Logan loves hugs! Logan is a 7.5 year old Border Collie mix that is currently on a diet and hoping to lose about 10 lbs. Although, according to his DNA, Logan is primarily a herder (19% Border Collie, 13% Australian Cattle, 8% Great Pyrenese) and a sporting dog (13% Labrador Retriever), he isn't defined by those percentages - he doesn't herd or sport. Mostly, he loves and hugs and smiles. Raised in household with several young, loud and rambuncous children, Logan loves children and knows how to connect with them on their level. He's usually not afraid of big noises and he knows a cry needs a cuddle. His old household also had a cat - so Logan is chill with cats too. Logan spent a lot of his life outdoors looking in, so he has no desire to be outside anymore - unless he's going on walk. He's housetrained and crate trained, and has gotten comfortable sleeping in the bed through tthe night. Logan has a bit of separation anxiety when left at home alone - he likes to suck on something with a scent (pillow, fleece jacket,etc.). He never destroys the item, he just leaves it soaking wet. Logan is low energy (espcially or a Border). He enjoys laying around INSIDE the house, sleeping, and following his human everywhere they go. He tried running once and 10 out of 10 would not recommend. Logan is in heaven if he's got his three favorite things: hugs/cuddles, food/treats, and walks... oh, and a human (really any human). Logan knows the basic commands - sit, lay, stay. And his stay command (not darting out the front door or the car) has come a long way in the last three months. He is not food aggressive and knows to wait until released to start eating. Logan had heartworms in 2021, but he made a full recovery and even went to live with a new family that had several other dogs. He loved his new family, but they moved and were unable to take him, so he went back to his original family and has been a super healthy boy since then - up to date with all of his vaccinations and preventatives. Logan is looking for a new home now because his old family moved out of the city and couldn't commit to his care. Logan is a super chill, super loving and always smiling baby. He'd do well anywhere, but I know he'd love at least one kiddo to love on. Apply to adopt Logan today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Logan, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Max The Protector Our beautiful boy Max is an 18 month old Border Collie and Australian Shepherd mix who was headed to the pound last November when we rescued him. He is very high energy, extremely loyal, driven and protective and keeps watch over our home through the windows and through the fence when heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s in the yard. As is common with this breed, Max barks a lot while protecting his territory. He is inquisitive and can get into anything within his reach looking for food or something to chew on. Max is very fast and agile and loves to run like the wind after the frisbee and to catch a ball on the first bounce and take a victory lap around the yard. He is perceptive, extremely smart and learns quickly. He would be a truly great agility dog. Unfortunately, he has learned to climb our chain link fence and visit other dogs in the neighborhood. We canâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t keep him safe. Max knows the commands come, sit, stay, wait, down, off, ball, out, over, give, shake and go to bed. He is house trained, crate trained, micro chipped, neutered and up to date on his vaccines as well as heartworm negative and gets monthly flea and tick meds. He is highly affectionate, loves to interact with people or to lie quietly at your feet. Max loves to play tug of war and chase the ball and works puzzles very quickly to earn his treats. He is very fond of belly rubs, riding in the truck and working to get treats. He does not like cats. Max can get over excited when a visitor comes into the house. Max would do best in a family with other dogs or older children to run and play with. He needs acreage or a large yard with a tall wooden fence. We are elderly and canâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t provide the activity level he needs. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Max, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
