Story
Meet Jack, your new adventure buddy 🐾 Jack is a handsome 1-year-old pup who is the total package—polite, eager to please, and ready to be your loyal sidekick. He already knows his basic commands and picks up new skills quickly, making him a joy to train and work with. Whether you’re a first-time dog owner or experienced, he’s the kind of dog that makes everything feel easy. He gets along well with other dogs and has been exposed to a wide variety of environments, including children, crowds, and even horses. Nothing seems to faze him—he takes it all in stride with a calm, confident attitude. He’s also excellent in his crate, settling in nicely and giving you peace of mind when needed. Personality-wise, Jack is the perfect balance: polite and well-mannered, but with an eager spark that makes him excited to learn and explore. He’s the kind of dog who looks to his person for guidance and is always ready for the next adventure. He’s likely to make a fantastic running or hiking partner. If you’re someone who loves the outdoors or staying active, he’s ready to keep up with you. Jack has not been tested with cats in a home setting, but he has been around barn cats and was curious without showing any aggression, which is a great sign depending on your household. If you’re looking for a friendly, adaptable, and devoted companion who can go from trail buddy to couch companion without missing a beat—Jack might just be your perfect match 💛 Fill out a no obligation dog adoption application today at https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/adoption-process/dog-adoption-application/

Story
Meet Bubba! Rescued from a high-kill shelter, this is a big, lovable, playful guy who could be the newest companion to your pack!  With soulful eyes and a tail that wags for days, this four-year-old darling is a sweetheart who just wants to find and be with his people.  He is very house-trained, working on being crate-trained (going well), knows his name, “sit" and “down," and is non-destructive when left alone. Bubba is a polite house guest. He doesn’t bark at dogs or people as they walk by, both when he’s in the house or whenever out on walks.  Attentive and affectionate, Bubba is happiest on walks or runs, playing in the yard, chewing on his toys and lounging on the couch with his people. He is a big lap dog who loves to show love and get love in return. Though he is large, he is well-behaved enough for an apartment, as long as he gets enough exercise. But if he had his preference he would love a bit of yard to go along with his walks. (And he is always down for a walk!) He is an active guy who will walk/run/play hard and nap hard. He loves to romp around in the yard, sniff everything, play fetch, and has shown to be interested but not aggressive toward wildlife. He is eager to please, food motivated (good for training) and is a champ in the car. He responds well with firm/calm direction but also handles the noise of (a lot of) kids, play and laughter with ease. Bubba needs a loving household and a person/family who will continue to train him and treat him kindly. Bubba would be happy as your only dog or with another playful dog or dogs. He has socialized well with other medium and large dogs. He shows no food aggression or resource guarding. He would do well with younger and older kids alike. He isn’t totally aware of his size but will remind you of it when he gets excited, pushes into you for attention or play or when he lays on you for cuddles. With his loving and playful heart, Bubba is ready to find a forever family who will love him. Adoption fee includes: first 2 DAPP, bordetella, deworming, flea preventative, sterilized, heartworm test, microchip Adoption fee: $525.00   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. LOCATION: Montgomery Village, MD Chip's adoption fee is fully sponsored by Merry D'Ambrisi - lucky pup! 🐶 Meet Chip! Chip is a fun-loving, energetic pup with a big heart and an impressive affinity for fetch 🎾—he’s truly a natural athlete! Whether he’s chasing a ball or entertaining himself with his toys, Chip brings a playful spirit and joy to everyday life. Since entering foster care, Chip has made incredible progress 🌟 and continues to grow more confident every day. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, he’s really blossoming into a wonderful companion. 💛 Personality & Home Life Chip may take a little time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, his affectionate and loyal personality shines. He forms strong bonds and loves being close to his people—whether that’s relaxing on the couch 🛋️ or leaning in for a head scratch. He thrives in a home that offers structure, encouragement, and a calmer environment where he can continue building confidence. • Fenced yard preferred: Chip loves having space to run and play freely. • Exercise: He’s an active pup who benefits from regular playtime and walks (and he’s improving on leash every day!). • Dog companion: A confident, friendly dog sibling who likes to play could be a wonderful influence and help him continue to come out of his shell. • Kids: He does well with children and would do best with older kids who respect his space. 🎓 Training & Progress Chip has come a long way in foster care and is eager to keep learning: • Potty trained and even rings bells to go outside • Crate trained—calm, quiet, and sleeps through the night • Doing great being left alone during the day with no accidents • Knows commands like “sit” and responds well to guidance • Making steady progress on leash walking and building confidence outdoors Like many young dogs, he still has a few puppy habits, but he is very responsive and continues to improve with consistency. And so stinking cute! Chip is looking for a committed, loving home that will continue to nurture his growth, confidence, and love for goofing around 🤪. He has already shown how much he can achieve in the right environment, and his best is still ahead of him. For someone willing to invest a little time and love, Chip will reward you with loyalty, companionship, and plenty of fun ❤️🐾

Now that they're safe, these two are ready to find their forever homes. This beauty sports a gorgeous brown and white spotted coat and the best smile. But it's not just her good looks that'll win you over — Freckles is extremely sweet, gentle, and absolutely wonderful with other dogs. At her young age, Freckles is in her prime for training and socialization. She will be a fabulous addition to an active home that can match her enthusiasm for life! It would have been a shame if K-9 Lifesavers hadn't stepped in — and now it's your turn to be her hero. Apply today and change this very deserving dog's life forever. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/. My name is Babe Finn, and I’m here to introduce myself because I’m on the hunt for my forever family! I came all the way from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama with my four brothers. It was getting pretty crowded there, but luckily some wonderful people stepped in to help us. Now I’m safe and settling in while I wait for the family who’s meant just for me. If you saw my photo shoot, you probably already noticed that I’ve perfected the art of being both adorable and handsome. It’s a natural talent, really. But I’m not just good looks — I’m also a friendly, playful puppy who loves having fun and making new friends. I get along great with other dogs and enjoy playtime just as much as cuddle time. My humans say I’m a well-behaved boy and at the perfect age to learn all the important puppy skills. That means I’m ready for training, adventures, and growing into the very best companion you could ask for. I’d love a home that enjoys staying active and spending time together — I promise to keep your days full of wet-nose kisses, happy tail wags, and plenty of goofy puppy moments. So what do you think… could we be a match?
