Story
Ollie is a handsome, friendly and playful boy who would love a home - a real home. He came to us from a person who had 17 dogs, and got into trouble for that, and for allowing his dogs to roam around town. Ollie was one of these dogs. We are happy that Ollie now has a chance to find a real home. One where he can live inside, and be treated like the piece of gold that he is. He's ready to learn! Ollie walks pretty well on a leash already and would love to go on hikes and adventures. He'd do well in a home with another dog, and has gotten along with males and females. Ollie is just 3 years old, so has a lot of years ahead of him. He'd do best with an active family, or to have a fenced in yard or place he can run and stretch his legs. He has moderate energy and weighs 50 lbs. He is up to date on all vaccines, dewormings and preventatives, is neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $175.

Story
https://foha.org/pet/jango/ My name is a special and unique one-it means "the greatest of heroes At times I feel heroic, remaining steadfast in my belief that I will find a forever home. But it will have to be with a patient owner that can work with me adjusting in encountering a lot of new things. You see, I can be a little skittish about unexpected sounds and sometimes wary of new people. But once I get to know someone, I am a gentle, attentive boy who knows "Sit, takes treats gently, and enjoys quiet story time I get along fine with other dogs (after appropriate introductions). But in my heart would probably prefer to be the only dog in the home so I can focus all my attention on bonding with my owners. I am deeply loyal and yearn for stability in a quiet home in a quiet area without children. I am also looking for a very patient, experienced owner. I forgot to tell you! I love to jump and could probably win a dog contest-so you need to keep an eye on me when I am in a yard. Since I have reached my golden years, I am eligible for the Senior Care Plan (learn more here). If you have additional questions, please use our Contact Us form and select Senior Care Plan Questions. Jango is sponsored by Kenneth Noto. Check out all of the dogs available at Friends of Homeless Animals! https://foha.org/pet-adoption/find-a-dog/

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13712My Royal SubjectsMy name is Knox and I originate from the Kibble Kingdom along with my siblings. I am crate trained and use my doggy door when I need to go. I love to play with toys and in the water. I am still learning not to pull on the leash, but I love to go for walks. Our kingdom is a small one, but it is a whimsical and imaginative place that is ruled by cats and dogs. In Kibble Kingdom, kibble is our currency of choice and all creatures embark on epic adventures. Our epic adventure started in MS where we were born and spent the first 5 months of our life. On June 21st we started the next part of our journey North to the folks here at OPH. They have agreed to help us complete our journey and find our forever homes where we live out our dreams of a family of our own. While we are waiting for our family to find us we will be in our foster home showing our foster family all of our traits and learning all about home life. Please check back and see how we continue to grow. Some fast facts about me:~ I'm about 5 months old~ At my health check I was 45 pounds~ I'm a Pointer mixed breed dog. Their is likely lab in my heritage but what else is up to you to discover.~ I'm learning about home life such as crate training, leash walking and housetraining.~ I'm neutered~ I'm up to date on my shotsI hope to meet you soon!

Milo came to us from an overcrowded shelter in rural North Carolina along with his mother, Sky, and brother, Pup Buttons. Sweet and gentle Sky is 1-2 years old and weighs 55 LBS, she looks to be a Labradoodle mix (picture attached). Milo is now ready to find his forever home. Could that be with you? He is your typical young pup. Milo is friendly, playful and loves other dogs. He would do well in an active home. At his young age, Milo is in his prime for training and socialization. Please remember that young pups require lots of time, love, and patience to become the best doggie citizens they can be. Give Milo a chance, and he'll give you a lifetime of companionship and unconditional love. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/.
