Story
Meet Cassidy, the Charming Introvert! Get ready to fall in love with Cassidy, a pale white pup with captivating puppy eyes and a heart-shaped nose. Despite a challenging past where he navigated the streets and scrounged for survival, Cassidy's resilience shines through. Now, he's on a mission to find a loving home where he can feel safe and cherished. Cassidy is a dog with a gentle and timid personality. Loud noises and intense reactions make him nervous, and he prefers a calm and serene environment. He needs time to warm up to people and build trust before he feels comfortable and secure. This smart little guy knows some tricks already and is a well-mannered companion during feeding time. He's polite and respectful, showing his intelligence and willingness to please. Sitting on command is just one of the many tricks he has mastered. When it comes to relaxation, Cassidy's favorite spot is snuggled up on the couch or bed. He loves cozy naps and enjoys sleeping in when it's chilly or rainy outside. His head and ears are the sweet spots for scratches and cuddles, and he might even roll over for a belly rub! Cassidy is searching for someone who will shower him with love and understanding. While he respects cats and tolerates other dogs, he prefers his own space and will often retreat to a separate room. However, when the other dogs are not around, he comes out for attention and cuddles. He enjoys the quiet company of a select few men, seeming to have a preference for quieter individuals. It's important to note that Cassidy is not a fan of chaos, whether it's caused by humans or other dogs. He seeks a serene and calm environment where he can feel at ease. Car rides are a pleasure for him, as long as he is the sole rider and not in a crowded car with other dogs. To provide Cassidy with his ideal home, a single, quiet man with no other dogs or possibly a submissive dog that Cassidy meets and approves of would be the perfect match. An at-home social life that aligns with his introverted nature is preferable. While Cassidy tends to avoid general interaction and may not seek pets, hugs, or kisses, he has his moments of affection when he feels comfortable. Cassidy may be an introverted hermit, but beneath his reserved exterior lies a dog yearning for love and understanding. If you're someone who appreciates the quiet moments and can provide a calm and peaceful environment, Cassidy will reward you! (Only) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Tina Fey - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My namesake is best known for her comedic timing and hysterical sense of humor!! Foster Mom says that i am the funniest dog that she has ever met!! I am outgoing and fun loving!! My favorite past times are going for walks, climbing trees, and sitting on foster Mom's lap for snuggles ( she laughs and tells me that I am not a lap dog...Hahaha..fooled her..yes I am a lap dog...just look where I am sitting...on her lap!!:) I am also extremely intelligent and pick up on "human speak" very quickly. I have a great vocabulary of understanding!! At 2 years young, I have reached my adult weight of 35 lbs of svelteness (I think I just invented a new word!!) I am trim and athletic and will do best in an active home where I can hike and play with my new human (s)!! Of course, it goes without saying, I am completely house trained and crate trained. I get along great with other dogs and have an innate understanding of "dog language"! I know when I can play with a dog and when I need to roll on my back and show submissiveness (this is a fake, as I am not really submissive, but know how to play the game in order to not rock the boat!) But, I am not at all alpha, either. I just want to be happy, play, and co exist. I walk well on the leash( although Foster Mom usually walks me off leash) and I know to come when called. I am the Court Jester of the ranch and always have a smile on my face. However, I am protective of the ranch as well and always bark to let my Foster Family know if someone arrives or comes into our space. I am not aggressive, just protective. My ancestry is from the "Survivor Dogs" of the Guatemalan Volcano,Pakaya. My ancestors had to be fleet of foot and clever in order to survive, and I certainly inherited those traits. If you have been looking for an intelligent comedian in a canine embodiment, I am your gal!!

Story
Animal Profile: Archie is an 11-12 month old 40lb neutered male whippet mix joining us from Hawaii to Seattle area foster care on Monday June 3rd. This handsome white and brindle boy is very sweet and not jumpy or vocal, remarkably calm for a youngster! He's had a couple months in foster care so he's had some training and is described as eager to please. Archie is good with dogs and people, and also friendly with the cat in the foster home. He has good car manners and an even temperament. He plays nice with dogs of all sizes, too.  Foster Update:  Archie is a very sweet and mellow dog! For only being around a year old, he is incredibly calm and well behaved. During the day he is happy to nap in his bed, play on his own with a stuffie toy, or snack on a kong in his crate. His personality has started to shine and he can be quite playful, though he is not destructive with toys or too rowdy in the house. If he does get his paws on something off limits, he responds well to verbal correction. Archie does well on walks in the neighborhood and is curious about other dogs, people, and new sounds (such as lawn mowers and garbage trucks) but is typically able to disengage and keep on moving. He does well on leash though could use some continued engagement training as he can be a little clumsy and get distracted by all the interesting sights in the neighborhood. He has a bit of a prey drive when it comes to rabbits and squirrels but doesn't bolt or pull too much. In terms of training Archie is f ood motivated and eager to please! He's still learning commands, but has made good progress with sit, crate training, and housetraining. He is potty trained as long as we keep him on a regular schedule. Archie is a medium energy dog. He has been content with a couple walks and some play time each day. He was able to keep up with us on a 6-7 mile hike, but was falling asleep on the car ride home, so does not have endless energy. Archie is a big sweetheart who loves pets and treats above all else. Anyone would be lucky to have him as a part of their family! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was rescued from Hawaii Animal Control arriving to Seattle area foster care on Monday 6/3/24.  He will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care. June 16, 2024, 12:40 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Mahina is a 10-month-old 27 lb spayed female Hawaii mixed breed joining us from Hawaii to Seattle area foster care on Monday June 3rd. This itty bitty black dog has hilarious upright ears and a soft personality with no training but a solid temperament with dogs and people.  Foster Update:  Mahina is a sweet, snuggly girl with a good amount of fun puppy energy! She is social with people and other dogs. She is a big fan of playing with toys, fetch, and tiring herself out with playtime in the yard. Mahina walks well on leash though given her young age will benefit from ongoing training in this area. She is potty trained and sleeps through the night in her crate. Mahina would love an active family who is looking for a happy, playful dog to join them out and about and on just about any adventure. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate.
