Please contact Greyhound Pets, Inc. Woodinville (info@greyhoundpetsinc.org) for more information about this pet.PattyTag No: 7037Registered Name: NoneBreed: Whippet MixDate of Birth:  October 30, 2022Color: RedCat Trainable: NoDog Friendly: Yes - See commentsKid Friendly: See commentsWeight:  40 poundsLocation: Foster homeComments: Patty is all about the joy in life.  She is happy, friendly and outgoing, and very much still a puppy.  She is a big cuddler!  Patty will need an active home and one that can give her some guidance in life.  She is eager to learn and please, and learns quickly.  She is a fun, happy girl who loves to play!  Patty plays rough so if she is in a home with another dog the other dog needs to be able to keep up with her.  Patty loves going on walks and adventures.  Patty is strong for her size and will jump when excited.  She loves people - big and small, but if she is around kids they need to be the resilient type that won't be upset about being knocked into/over. December 2024:  Patty has moved to a foster home.  Her foster home reports that she is doing well and is such a happy girl! She is housetrained and is settling into a routine. She's very playful out in the yard and her foster dad's two greyhounds are happy to oblige, but I do need to separate her and one of the greyhounds at times as he can be a little rough with Patty (not that she minds) when he gets fired up. Patty's foster dad crates Patty when he leaves the house.  Behavior wise, if she gets bored she starts looking for things to get into. She's very curious and will find things to chew on or tear up. Her foster dad has been able to redirect her with an appropriate chew toy.  She listens if he tells her to leave something alone, but that doesn't stop her from trying again later. Giving Patty an extra run in the yard, when she starts looking for something to do, settles her down for a while afterwards. If you can tire Patty out a little, she does well and settles down for a nap while her foster dad works at his desk. Patty does well on leash, is eating well, sleeps through the night, and is a big snuggler. Stairs are no problem and her foster dad is teaching her the dog door. She jumps in and out of the car well now, and settles right down in back during rides. She would be happiest with a yard to run around in, or at least some very active people who could take her on several long walks every day. We don't know how she'd do as an only dog, but probably fine as long as she has people and toys to play with, and she gets enough exercise. Patty was a past Dog of the Month!!  Patty: May Dog of the Month - Greyhound Pets, Inc. WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Mojito - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Hey all you fabulous people out there, I'm Mojito and I'm here searching for a family, a home...one that I can call my very own!! And since you're reading this I'm hoping maybe just maybe it could be with YOU?!! My name is Mojito but I'm sometimes called Meathead, Dammit, Get Down, Stop That and Mojo. And I answer to all of them!!! My foster mom wants you to know: He is very loving and wants to sit in your lap! I think he will do well with older kids. He will need someone that will be home most of the time. He has learned how to stay in a crate but is not happy about it. He does sleep in a crate at night and usually does well. He also identifies as a cat and loves to climb so he can see everything that goes on. He will get things off the counter if left alone. I didn't have a very good start in life and as a result have some separation anxiety but we have been working really hard and I'm really doing so much better. But my ideal home would be where my person works from home. I'm a youngster yet of around a year old and come in at the top end of the small category of about 25lbs. That is a pawsomely perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes, co-piloting errand runs, supervising yardwork, you name it, I'm just right for the job at hand!! Playful and sweet, active and adventurous, I've got some great qualities ready to share with my very own family. I am so ready to be that lil heartbeat at your feet or on your lap! If you're ready for an active lil buddy to share in your life's adventures all you need to do is stop scrolling and fill out my adoption application. You can find it at haydudeequine.org

Story
Welcome Simba to CCPAL Rescue. Simba is a 5.5 month old Whippet/Husky/Shepherd is our best guess. Simba now weighs about 25 pounds and should weigh 30 to 35 pounds full grown. Simba should be a medium sized dog. Simba was in a home and someone was asked to watch him for a week while they were on vacation. The person never came back for Simba. He is good on a leash, good in a crate, good in a car and good with other dogs. He has beautiful blue eyes and wonky ears. They may stand upright at some point but right now they don’t. He is smart, affectionate and willing to take commands and do what you ask. He bonds deeply with his person even if he does like other people he really likes one person. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. His personality is very much like a shepherd with the loving nature or the Whippet. He would do best with someone that doesn’t work all day everyday away from home. He will need to finish up his training and he is very social so he would like to go places and be with his favorite human. He is getting his puppy vaccines and will be also getting neutered soon and will be ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Lucy is a very loving, affectionate, and attentive companion, without being needy. She lives for her “adventures” (walks, runs, hikes) and is always searching out bunny rabbits as well as any other scent left by all critters. At home she will lounge for a while, ask if it’s time for a walk and rest again if denied, then she’ll make her rounds in the yard and rest again until walk time; she wants to please her human. She is not food motivated, and so doesn’t beg, but is curious with all smells Lucy lived with a cat for a few months and, though she would chase and play, she never made an attempt to hurt the cat. Lucy loves to run and play. Lucy is very good on a leash and will listen to commands as well as being aware of the pace of her tethered human, she has on occasion darted after a squirrel so her human needs to be strong enough to hold her when she forgets her manners. Lucy had a tough life for the first 4 years so she will get defensive if a dog snaps at her. Her first priority at a dog park is to run and play with other dogs, but she will defend herself if a dog is aggressive towards her. She de-escalates when pulled out of a scuffle, and she’s tried to make friends again when it’s over. Lucy needs someone who will be attentive to her as well and can intervene if necessary, or just not take her to an off leash dog park. Lucy loves other dogs but is most at ease as an only dog in her forever home. If you think Lucy would be the perfect fit for your family please complete our adoption application. houstonk911rescue.org/adopt Lucy is located in Houston, Texas.

Sweetie is a fun and loving girl who loves to spend time with people and playful kind dog companions. She is an active girl who is looking for a home with space to romp around. While she isn’t super heavy, she is on the taller side with her long legs. While with us she has done well with the other dogs she has met and with the cats she has met. She would also do well as an only dog. She crates well, and has been learning basic skills such as sit and wait. We are looking for a home for her that wants to put the bit of time in to make this young girl the amazing pup we know she can be! Sweeties adoption donation is $450 to help cover some of her costs including transport, spay, vaccines, vetting, and daily care. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. She is a brainy, brawny, and bubbly brindle beauty who loves to learn and works extra hard to please.Rey, a six-year old female greyhound mix originally from South Korea, has a cool-looking striped coat, an alert expression, and plenty of energy. Friendly, outgoing and literally a “hugger”, Rey loves all humans, though she might love men even a little extra! This girl is surprisingly strong and could probably pull a 747 without breaking a sweat. The best home for Rey will be one which gives her space to exercise, ideally in her own yard, and lots of mental and physical activity. Like most extra smart individuals regardless of species, Rey needs to be kept mentally stimulated to avoid slipping into mischief. Rey’s ideal family will keep her intellectually engaged with learning new things, going to interesting places, and sharing their lives’ adventures with her. Sports or service work would be great ways to keep her mind challenged. While it isn’t a must for her to live with people who are home all the time, Rey will need to be around her family a lot. Rey loves going on car rides -short or long- because she knows they take her to new places and reveal interesting things! One of Rey’s favorite things is to tear a stuffed toy apart from limb to limb; when she finally locates the squeaker she is in bliss. Because most humans don’t approve of toy destruction, Rey has had many toys taken away from her. As a result, when it comes to her toys she has learned not to trust most people, because so many people have “stolen” so many toys before she could destroy them properly! This is why Rey must go to a home without kids. Rey just doesn’t trust people with her valuables (like toys) until she really knows them first. Once she does trust you though she can be convinced to relax her toy vigilance with savvy handling. This girl’s trust can be earned with just lots of treats, play, and cuddles or belly rubs. GPI’s trainer will teach Rey’s new family methods for interacting with Rey and her toys in four free one-on-one training sessions, and offer priority paid sessions thereafter as needed. She must be the only dog in the household as she wants to protect “her” people and space, as well as food and toys, from other dogs. Apart from this, Rey is very tolerant of other dogs, even in close proximity. But she doesn’t seem at all interested in making dog friends. She absolutely can never live with cats or other small animals.Rey is generally good on a leash, non-reactive when passing other dogs, and will make a wonderful- albeit really strong -walking companion. With a savvy handler she is well behaved in most public places, though places like pet supply stores where she can easily snag a toy she considers valuable should be avoided. This is how the person who best knows Rey sums her up:“If you look up love and loyalty in the dictionary you will see Rey’s picture. All this girl wants is to work for the one she loves. Her love is easy to earn. Rey craves mental and physical enrichment, trust, and affection. A little play, show her you're a giver not a taker, and some belly rubs is all it would take for this extraordinary girl to give her whole self to you.” Rey is past Dog of the Month!!  https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/rey-september-dog-of-the-month/ Sponsored by Carla and Bill Rogers, in memory of Gracie Rey would love to have a sponsor while she waits to be adopted.  If this interests you, please see this link for more info:  https://www.greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/ Greyhound Pets, Inc. - www.greyhoundpetsinc.org - 877-468-7681 WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT A GREYHOUND?
