Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hershey Hershey arrived from an overcrowded shelter where he and his 7 one-year-old siblings were dumped. Each sibling was quite different from the other. similar body shapes with varying colours. Hershey and Cocoa were the only two reddish-liver colour pups, and their fur resembles that of Aussie shepherds. They are likely very mixed breeds, with Hershey's Whippet characteristics dominant, and Cocoa's Aussie traits showing more in her. Hershey is very shy initially. His fosters are working with him to become accustomed to love, meeting a variety of people, older children, and new dogs. He is doing well on all counts. Hershey will be neutered before going to his forever people. His fosters are getting him on a regular outdoor potty schedule, training him in a harness and lead, and he's living with three people and only one dog. Hershey was relinquished with his family from a home with too many animals. The quiet and calm are new to him, but he seems to relish them.  Crates are scary to Hershey, so he is learning to stay in a pen at night with an open crate as a den, so he will not be afraid of a crate when it is time to visit the vet.  Hershey has a lovely, sweet, and curious demeanor. He will do well in a home with other friendly dogs, and people who have the time and love to give this gorgeous boy. He needs an adult-only home due to being mouthy. We will update this post as his personality unfolds. **Adopting Hershey** To adopt Hershey, please use the link below. One of our volunteers will review your application and follow up with you to ask questions, address any concerns, and determine whether you are a good match for this pup. If a match is made, the next step will be a meet-and-greet. Please use a computer to complete the application, as tablets and cell phones may disrupt the process. Koda has transitioned to a human-grade diet that avoids kibble and focuses on a healthy, canine-specific feeding regimen. We will educate his adopters on proper diet and nutrition.   The adoption fee for Hershey is $495 and includes Neutering, puppy vaccines, rabies vaccination, and a microchip.   www.rompinpawsrescue.com     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 24, 2026, 12:41 am

Story
Niabi may be a little shy at first, but give her a day, a few tasty treats, and a little patience—and you’ll discover the sweetest velcro girl you could ask for. Once she bonds, she’s all yours, happily sticking by your side through every part of the day. She tends to connect more quickly with women, while men may need to give her a bit of extra time to earn her trust. But once she feels safe, her true personality shines—happy, playful, and full of life! Niabi LOVES to play, and stuffed toys don’t stand a chance in her world—she’ll happily shred them like it’s her full-time job. She’s also got the cutest excitement hops, jumping up in the air when it’s time to eat or go potty. It’s impossible not to smile watching her celebrate the little things. She does great with other dogs and even cats, making her a wonderful addition to a multi-pet home. And when she chooses her person, she loves deeply—staying close, soaking up affection, and giving it right back. Niabi is looking for a patient, understanding home that will let her warm up at her own pace—and in return, she’ll give you a loyal, joyful best friend for life Local adoption fee is $200(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Animal Information: Trixie is a 9.5 year old sighthound/terrier mix with a gentle, sensitive nature. Her world recently changed when her owner of nearly 8 years could no longer care for her due to a medical crisis, but through it all she has remained a sweet and loving dog. She gets along well with other dogs and has lived with cats. On walks she is calm and non reactive, and she really enjoys being outside. Although she had been spending much of her time in a crate, she has done so well in her foster home and has settled right back into a normal routine. Trixie is friendly with everyone she meets. She can be a little unsure in new places at first, but she warms up quickly and will start leaning in for affection before long. She is house trained, crate trained, and rides nicely in the car. Trixie would fit into many different homes and is ready to find a place where she can feel safe and loved again. Foster Profile: Coming Soon! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered to our rescue when [circumstances of transfer], arriving to foster care on 3/17/26. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.March 30, 2026, 12:46 pm

She is friendly, sweet and affectionate. She can be a little shy at first, but once comfortable she has a silly/goofy side. Loves to play and run, but also likes affection. Olive is a big time leaner! Olive is very smart and good at picking up on patterns. Olive would do best in an active home with a securely fenced yard (6 foot fence), in a quieter neighborhood. She is a quick learner and eager to please and will need a home that can continue her training (she loves to learn). Olive will need a home without cats. She does better with dogs that are bigger than she is and would prefer to be an only dog. Olive is about 35 pounds worth of energy and delight! I started life in South Korea on a dog meat farm, and though I still carry a few little scars from that time, my heart has healed so much. With the help of some kind trainers, I’ve learned what love feels like—and now I’m ready to share it with my very own person. At first, I can be a little shy and cautious (old habits!), but once I trust you, my sweetness shines all the way through. I become playful, happy, and full of zoomies—I’ll even make you laugh with my goofy side. I love to run, I love to learn, and nothing makes me happier than knowing I’ve made you smile.I think I’d be happiest as your one-and-only furry friend, since other dogs aren’t quite my cup of tea. But honestly? With a heart as big as mine, I’ll fill your world with more than enough love. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful for me, along with a patient person who’ll keep helping me grow braver and more confident every day.I may have had a tough beginning, but I haven’t let it dim my spirit. Now I just need someone to see the sweet, devoted, silly girl I am and say, “That’s my dog.” My name’s Darcy—and I can’t wait to make you smile too. Darcy was a past Dog of the Month!!  https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/darcy-december-dog-of-the-month-3/Sponsored by Angela Kasse Sponsored by Jieun Cho Darcy would love another sponsor while she waits for her forever home.  If this sounds like something you'd like to do, see this link for more info.  https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/ Greyhound Pets, Inc. - www.greyhoundpetsinc.org - 877-468-7681 WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT A GREYHOUND? Sweetie is a fun and loving girl who loves to spend time with people and playful kind dog companions. She is an active girl who is looking for a home with space to romp around. While she isn’t super heavy, she is on the taller side with her long legs. While with us she has done well with the other dogs she has met and with the cats she has met. She would also do well as an only dog. She crates well, and has been learning basic skills such as sit and wait. We are looking for a home for her that wants to put the bit of time in to make this young girl the amazing pup we know she can be! Sweeties adoption donation is $450 to help cover some of her costs including transport, spay, vaccines, vetting, and daily care. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time.
