Darcy is our November Dog of the Month!!  https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/darcy-november-dog-of-the-month/ Sponsored by Angela Kasse Darcy would love a sponsor while she waits for her forever home.  If this sounds like something you'd like to do, see this link for more info.  https://greyhoundpetsinc.org/support/sponsor-a-dog/ Greyhound Pets, Inc. - www.greyhoundpetsinc.org - 877-468-7681 WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ADOPT A GREYHOUND? Story
Lucy is a very loving, affectionate, and attentive companion, without being needy. She lives for her “adventures” (walks, runs, hikes) and is always searching out bunny rabbits as well as any other scent left by all critters. At home she will lounge for a while, ask if it’s time for a walk and rest again if denied, then she’ll make her rounds in the yard and rest again until walk time; she wants to please her human. She is not food motivated, and so doesn’t beg, but is curious with all smells Lucy lived with a cat for a few months and, though she would chase and play, she never made an attempt to hurt the cat. Lucy loves to run and play. Lucy is very good on a leash and will listen to commands as well as being aware of the pace of her tethered human, she has on occasion darted after a squirrel so her human needs to be strong enough to hold her when she forgets her manners. Lucy had a tough life for the first 4 years so she will get defensive if a dog snaps at her. Her first priority at a dog park is to run and play with other dogs, but she will defend herself if a dog is aggressive towards her. She de-escalates when pulled out of a scuffle, and she’s tried to make friends again when it’s over. Lucy needs someone who will be attentive to her as well and can intervene if necessary, or just not take her to an off leash dog park. Lucy loves other dogs but is most at ease as an only dog in her forever home. If you think Lucy would be the perfect fit for your family please complete our adoption application. houstonk911rescue.org/adopt Lucy is located in Houston, Texas.

Story
Meet me, Amalia! I am a happy pup who loves cuddle sessions and some play time. My absolute favorite spot to nap is on the couch. I enjoy other dogs, great on rides and pretty good on leash too! My foster mom takes me on lots of adventures to the lake house and to meet humans big and small. I am great at playing fetch, enjoy water and walks. Also pig and cow friendly. Would probably do great around other livestock also. Probably one of the most chill dogs ever. Did I mention that I am crate trained, although I would not mind a snuggling up with my humans at bedtime if it was an option. If you are interested in me, please complete the app below. https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/NAF/Dog I am located in San Antonio, TX, but a video meet and greet is available. Transport is included with out of state adoption along with health certificates for transport. I am fully vetted to age, spayed/neutered and microchipped.
