Hi! My name is Funnel Cake. I’m way sweeter than a funnel cloud. In fact, I was rescued from the Pasadena animal shelter after it was hit by a tornado. That was REALLY scary and at first I was afraid of everything. Turned out that I had heartworms too. But, luckily SAVE Rescue Coalition found me and my foster mom has been teaching me all sorts of things! I’ve learned that people are actually pretty nice and snacks are awesome! I love treats so much that I’ve learned some other things too. I know sit, down, touch, crate, stay, and leave it. I’m potty trained and crate trained too! I even know what furniture I’m allowed on and what I’m not. I like other dogs, but my favorites are smaller dogs (I don’t mind if they’re bossy) and laid back bigger dogs. Now that I’m all healthy and I’ve learned that the world isn’t actually that scary, I’m looking for my forever home. I would love a home with another dog or a human that wants to play with me. I also really love training games and learning new things. My foster mom says I’m smart as a whip and that I’m definitely full of personality! I’m not a yappy pup, but I’ll talk (wooo) to you when I have an opinion to share. I’m probably a shepherd mix between 1-2 years old and weigh about 60 pounds. Meet Minnie! Her giant ears are sure to bring a smile to your face--she looks like a little Whippet mix with her narrow face and long legs. She's a sassy, playful, snuggly puppy who's thrilled to be off the streets and out of the heat! She's about 3.5 months old and weighs 9 pounds. Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. ALL our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Lucy - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Just one look at this face and you'll be hooked. I'm a tad bit shy at first meet but it only takes me a NY minute to warm up and want to be your next BFF. I'm a happy happy gal that loves being outside exploring...everywhere! I do great on the leash and will make a great pawtner on neighborhood strolls and nature hikes. I'm also a good girl on car rides, making me an excellent co-pilot for any errand runs or sight seeing trips. I am house trained and do great with other dogs. Having a playful sibling to chase around the yard stealing...err I mean sharing toys would just be the bomb. At around a year old I'm still pretty much a pup yet that will need daily exercise and playtime but with that in I should do great in town with a yard, out on a farm or anywhere in between. And my 16ish lb adult weight puts me at a great size to be that pawsome family member! Do you need that special someone to share in your adventures? Well, guess what? Animal Profile: Cricket is an estimated 1-year-old, 24 lb neutered male mix (possibly whippet/hound) who was taken into the Hawaii shelter as a stray. He loves everyone, dog and human alike, and seems good even with little kids and cats. He is playful but not pushy with other dogs and was interested in but not aggressive towards a cat. He seems to have had no prior training with a leash and occasionally jumps up but he's very dainty and we think he'll learn quickly. Foster Update: Cricket would do well with an active family who he can hike and run and play with, then spend serious downtime snuggling. Like any young dog, Cricket needs training to contain his excitement (jumping up), increase attention span and walk nicely on leash.  He is not a barker, but will do a quiet whine and paw at you for attention.  If you are looking for a young dog to train for agility, this is your guy! Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.   Animal Profile:  Gavin is an estimated 1-year-old 37 lb neutered male Hawaiian muttley (possibly whippet hound mix) who was taken into the Hawaii shelter as a stray. He loves everyone, dog and human alike, and seems to be good even with little kids and cats. He is playful but not pushy with other dogs and was was not interested in messing with a big male cat whatsoever. He is playful with people, dogs and toys and very food motivated so should be easy to train. More info to come as we get to know him in foster care.  Seattle Foster Update: Just look at that face! Gavin is such a sweetie. He is excited to meet all people and dogs and even small children! He would love a companion dog in his new home to run around with. Gavin certainly has puppy energy and the  roomies, but he also has an off switch. Gavin does just fine in the crate and we are working on his leash manners. He's not a barker and he rides fine in a car. He loves to throw toys in the air and chase after them. Gavin recently learned "sit" and is food motivated, so should be easy to train.
