Story
Meet Bruiser, who does not live up to his name!! He was born in April 2019 to an LGD mom. He quickly learned the art of jumping 4 foot fences. Bruiser was adopted to another goat ranch. Although he did great w/the goats. He preferred the company of people over hooved friends!! Bruiser will make a great family member as he is friendly with everyone. You won't need to worry about him with your livestock...unless you expect him to be a guardian. Please disregard the current pictures. This was his former owner's attempt to contain him for his own safety. We will update as soon as we can!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Tyana is one of several dogs who were found on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country. We can only speculate, but we believe that the property owners moved away and left the dogs to fend for themselves.  Tyana's mom Lydia is VERY friendly, but her pups (two generations) are completely unsocialized, so we're guessing they may have been born after the people moved. It's quite possible that the Animal Control Officers who hauled away Tyana and her family were the first humans that she ever had any close contact with. At Windsong Ranch, Tyana is very slowly learning to trust me, but she is still extremely skittish of people in general. Getting her to walk on a leash in order to go to the vet's office is a real challenge, but we've managed it, and once at the vet's office, Tyana has remained calm and quiet. She seems content to stay inside the house, but seems happier and less anxious when she is outside. Tyana gets along well with other dogs and is very playful with them. We believe she would do best in a home with a confident male dog, who can help her see that humans are trustworthy. Due to her skittish nature, she MUST go to a home with secure (visible) fencing. If you are ready to make the commitment to devote yourself to earning Tyana's trust, please complete the application on our website. NOTE: I really struggle to get decent photos of Tyana -- she almost always looks very anxious, even when she's happy -- it's like she's in witness protection and thinks that having her photo taken puts her life at risk. In some of these photos, she is hanging out with other unsocialized or feral dogs, and moments before I pulled out my phone, they were usually happy and smiling, but as soon as I point the camera at them, most of them look like I might be about to kill them. Silly dogs. Also, in some photos, she has what looks like an injury diagonal across her face. Nope, that's just a berry stain. Tyana likes to dig, and it shows in some of these photos. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Young Bennie was picked up as a stray in our rural area, so we don't know anything about his past. He came into rescue with some skin issues which are being treated. At the moment, we're not sure whether he has seasonal allergies, or whether his itchiness was all related to Demodectic mange, which is very common in puppies and young dogs. What we DO know is that Bennie is sweet as can be! In his foster home, he loves having plenty of room for running his zoomies, and he enjoys playing with other dogs. He enjoys sleeping on a big comfy dog bed, and he is a little bit of a hoarder with his stuffed animal toys. Bennie has been neutered and vaccinated, and is ready to find his happily ever after story. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Curly Sue came to us from Oklahoma. Her eyes and build look somewhat Akbash, and her curly coat looks like possibly Kuvasz, or maybe it's produced from a combination of Akbash and Komondor. She is a wonderful livestock guardian. She’s not well socialized with people, but she’s great with our goats, good with other dogs, and hasn’t bothered our barn cats. She is shy but will take a treat from me, so that's an excellent way to start winning her trust. She avoids my touch, but when I manage to get my hands on her, she seems to enjoy have her ears and butt scratched. She was never taught to wear a collar or walk on a leash, so we haven’t yet been able to get her to our chicken yard to test her with chickens. If you need an LGD for goats and don’t have chickens, or keep them in their own coop and yard like we do, then Curly Sue might be the right dog for you!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2026, 10:47 am

Finley is a super fun sweet dog. He just wants to please. He’s great with chickens too. He is crate trained and does not potty in the house. He’s good on a leash and loves to go on outings. Fin comes with 5 months of flea and tick medication. I’m moving to a smaller place and can’t keep him, which I’m very sad about. He needs a yard he can get exercise and run in. Someone who can really take care of him. 😢

Story
Meet Barney! This pup was wondering around our community for weeks as a stray. Catching him wasn’t easy but let me tell ya, now that he’s had a taste of AC he’s never going back to the stray life haha. Barney in typical Great Pyrenees fashion is an absolute LOVER. He wants do be near his humans and he wants that Pyr fur all over you! Great with dogs big and small although not super playful. Definitely more of a wallflower with the occasional zoomie. Leash work is still a work in progress which for this breed is a lifelong project. What he lacks in that department however he makes up for in looks and charm. -House/Crate Trained -Good with other dogs -Over the top loving -Moderate energy -Loves being with his human. Barney is such a sweet and well tempered boy that woudl do best in a quiet house, as he can be a nervous nelly. We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Meet Lilah Lilah is an approximately 9-month-old female Great Pyrenees/Lab mix who weighs 46 Lbs. She was never reclaimed and is now available for adoption. Found running loose on H Wallace Lane on 04/28/26, Lilah is ready for a fresh start with a family who will give her the stability and love she deserves. Lilah is a sweet, sociable young dog who enjoys being around people and has already shown that she has a friendly, approachable personality. She appears comfortable on a leash and seems to have some basic handling experience, making her a great candidate for continued training and guidance as she grows. We are still getting to know Lilah, including how she interacts with other dogs. Because of this, a meet and greet is encouraged for any home with existing dogs to ensure a good fit. Her adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, current on rabies vaccination, age-appropriate boosters and heartworm negative. If you're looking for a friendly, young companion with a lot of potential, Lilah could be the perfect addition to your family. Apply to adopt Lilah at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption.
