Story
Casper was found on the side of the road and taken home by a kind finder who cared for him, neutered and vaccinated and got him on heart worm prevention. He's likely mixed with Akbash another wonderful livestock guardian breeds. He's been cared for but still needs house manners and leash training but will go to his crate on demand and comes when called for. He's wonderful with kids of all ages and other dogs, not yet tested with cats. With some structure, this dog could be your bestest boy with all the great characteristics of the breed, calm, friendly, watchful, loyal, well balanced. If you're looking for a sweet, mature 3 year old, he can be your guy! More photos coming soon!

If you're a single gal or guy looking for a hiking buddy. We think Peachy is your pup! She would totally love a mom & dad all to herself. She loves other dogs and kinda cats but we feel she would flourish in a single pet family. She can be very protective of her person/people. A Peachy perk she loves the cold and tolerates the heat well, too. Perfect to be an outdoorsy pup. House trained, kennel trained. Leashed trained. Loves to snuggle and give kisses.TGPR.org

Story
Peyton is a two year old female located in the DFW area, and we are happy TGPR was able to help with her safety. Unfortunately, Peyton, among many other animals, found herself in a shelter after the police became involved in a horrific animal hoarding situation. If you are looking for a super sweet love bug, Peyton is your girl! She is an absolute sweetheart who is learning to build her confidence day by day. She is currently in foster with an XL alpha male dog and has been the most polite and submissive buddy to him. Peyton is good in the car, and finds comfort in her crate. She will typically even go lay down in her crate to rest if the gate door is left open. She was a staff favorite at the shelter and the vet. She is also very quiet, and house-trained. Her favorite things are getting ear rubs, being brushed, and looking lovingly into your eyes! Apply today at TGPR.org

Story
We found this sweet boy weaving in and out of traffic. We can’t keep him so we’re trying to find a new forever home for him! We believe Oliver is around 6 months old. He is probably about 40lbs and is definitely getting bigger. We don’t know his actual breed but he very much resembles an akbash, or some sort of great pyrenees/lab mix. This guy is super sweet and playful. He’ll follow you around the house and sleep at your feet while you do the dishes. Very sweet with our two cats although very playful. He loves to go for walks and has already learned to heel nicely. He will bark at other dogs, but is not aggressive and will play well with them. He needs to be taken out to pee every few hours or he may pee inside, but if taken out regularly has no accidents. He also loves the water and is great for baths/showers. Oli is such a sweet pup and he would be perfect for a family who is willing to care for an exuberant fun-loving puppy!

Story
Charlie is a sweet Akbash/Pyr mix, who is protective of his person, and has the typical Pyr attitude. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs 102 pounds. Charlie does well with the smaller dogs in the current foster home, though would probably do best as an only dog. Charley very much enjoys "working"...having something to do. Though we do not allow him to be an outdoor dog, he very much enjoys his time in the yard/sun. He loves going for walks, but is often scared of other unknown big dogs. Charlie is great with the cats in the current foster home, and absolutely LOVES men!!! If interested in Charlie, please fill out our foster or adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Tyana is one of several dogs who were found on a ranch in the Texas Hill Country. We can only speculate, but we believe that the property owners moved away and left the dogs to fend for themselves.  Tyana's mom Lydia is VERY friendly, but her pups (two generations) are completely unsocialized, so we're guessing they may have been born after the people moved. It's quite possible that the Animal Control Officers who hauled away Tyana and her family were the first humans that she ever had any close contact with. At Windsong Ranch, Tyana is very slowly learning to trust me, but she is still extremely skittish of people in general. Getting her to walk on a leash in order to go to the vet's office is a real challenge, but we've managed it, and once at the vet's office, Tyana has remained calm and quiet. She seems content to stay inside the house, but seems happier and less anxious when she is outside. Tyana gets along well with other dogs and is very playful with them. We believe she would do best in a home with a confident male dog, who can help her see that humans are trustworthy. Due to her skittish nature, she MUST go to a home with secure (visible) fencing. If you are ready to make the commitment to devote yourself to earning Tyana's trust, please complete the application on our website. NOTE: I really struggle to get decent photos of Tyana -- she almost always looks very anxious, even when she's happy -- it's like she's in witness protection and thinks that having her photo taken puts her life at risk. In some of these photos, she is hanging out with other unsocialized or feral dogs, and moments before I pulled out my phone, they were usually happy and smiling, but as soon as I point the camera at them, most of them look like I might be about to kill them. Silly dogs. Also, in some photos, she has what looks like an injury diagonal across her face. Nope, that's just a berry stain. Tyana likes to dig, and it shows in some of these photos. Story
Meet Sophie – Your Loyal & Loving Companion!   Sophie is a beautiful two-year-old Great Pyrenees with a heart as big as her fluffy coat! This sweet girl adores people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and animals—except for birds, which she prefers to admire from afar.   Sophie is affectionate, gentle, and always ready for belly rubs or a cozy cuddle session. She would thrive in a home where she can be part of the family, whether lounging by your side or joining you for outdoor adventures. Story
Chubey is an excellent dog—a two-year-old Great Pyrenees and German Shepherd mix. We got him from a family friend who also owns two similar dogs. Chubey is beautiful, gentle with children, and always eager to play with us. He mainly eats meat and treats, which he enjoys. While caring for him has been challenging due to my busy schedule, he’s a loyal and loving companion. Unfortunately, no one in the household currently has enough time to give him the attention he deserves. Text Me: 214-642-5296 if Interested

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Phoebe!  She is a sweet badger girl rescued from a local shelter.  Born around January 2022, she is fully grown and on the smaller side for the breed at a petite 65 pounds. Phoebe is submissive and a little shy when people approach her, but she will walk right up to anybody on her own for pets and loving. Phoebe is good with other dogs, and will usually submit to a more dominant dog. She enjoys playing with larger dogs, and leaves little dogs alone. She would be good as an only dog if she has other dogs to play with on occasion. She is good on a leash, but would do well in a harness because she has a tendency to pull.  She rides well in a car if she can look out the window.  Phoebe is not a fan of grooming. Phoebe is very afraid of loud noises like thunder and fireworks, so she needs a little nook to hide in when she feels compelled. She’s a very vigilant guard dog, keeping all the pesky squirrels and birds out of her yard. She may not eat a lot the first few days after arriving to her forever home, but will eat regularly once she feels more comfortable. Phoebe is a very loving girl just waiting for the right home. SPIN Pyrs are all in foster homes in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  Adoption fees are $300 for dogs under 1 year old, $250 for dogs 1-7 years old, $200 for dogs over 7 years old. Potential adopters are asked to make travel arrangements if they live elsewhere. All SPIN dogs are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention.
