Story
Meet Barney! This pup was wondering around our community for weeks as a stray. Catching him wasn’t easy but let me tell ya, now that he’s had a taste of AC he’s never going back to the stray life haha. Barney in typical Great Pyrenees fashion is an absolute LOVER. He wants do be near his humans and he wants that Pyr fur all over you! Great with dogs big and small although not super playful. Definitely more of a wallflower with the occasional zoomie. Leash work is still a work in progress which for this breed is a lifelong project. What he lacks in that department however he makes up for in looks and charm. -House/Crate Trained -Good with other dogs -Over the top loving -Moderate energy -Loves being with his human. Barney is such a sweet and well tempered boy that woudl do best in a quiet house, as he can be a nervous nelly. We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
This beauty visited us because Pretty Girl was in heat and he wanted to court her! We made sure her pen was secure and confirmed her spay appt which was just days away. Thankfully she has been spayed but this kid didn’t want to leave. He’s very skinny. That’s why his name is Skynyrd as in the rock star! This guy is a rock star , too! He is getting up to date on vaccs, the normal worming and neuter . He’s very sweet and very smart! He was neglected but guessing not abused. He’s a great dog that needs a family and a yard and lots of love! We think he’s about one year old. He’s hungry so he’s gaining weight and getting healthy to go home with you.If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Meet Champ &#194&#150 The Goofy Gentleman & Professional Heart-Stealer Looking for a big dog with an even bigger heart (and just the right amount of mischief)? Allow us to introduce Champ, a 2-year-old, 71-lb Anatolian Shepherd mix who was found near S. Goliad in Rockwall and never reclaimed. He has been patiently waiting over 292 days (as of 01/17/26) for his forever family and is now a Diamond Dog, which means his adoption fee is just $75. Premium dog, bargain price, unlimited love included. Champ is a total lovebug who thrives on being close to his people. He adores snuggles, enjoys gentle play with kids of all ages, and carries his favorite toys around like prized possessions. He walks beautifully on a leash, loves a good zoomie session followed by a cozy nap, and greets everyone with a wag and his signature goofy grin. He bonds deeply and would do best in a home where someone is around most of the day or works from home, as he is not a dog who is content being left alone for long periods. Especially outdoors. This handsome guy is also clever and curious, which means he is an explorer at heart. Champ is not a dog who can be left alone in a backyard, as he is a known escape artist and would absolutely take that as a personal challenge. He will need a securely fenced yard with a minimum 8-foot fence, no chain link, and no shortcuts, so he can safely enjoy outdoor time without turning it into an adventure film. Champ may do well with another dog, but a meet and greet is required to ensure a good personality match and compatible play styles. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm positive, with treatment fully covered thanks to Rockwall PAWS. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who lives for his people, keeps life entertaining, and will happily make himself your shadow, Champ is ready to make your heart his forever home.
