Story
Meet Barney! This pup was wondering around our community for weeks as a stray. Catching him wasn’t easy but let me tell ya, now that he’s had a taste of AC he’s never going back to the stray life haha. Barney in typical Great Pyrenees fashion is an absolute LOVER. He wants do be near his humans and he wants that Pyr fur all over you! Great with dogs big and small although not super playful. Definitely more of a wallflower with the occasional zoomie. Leash work is still a work in progress which for this breed is a lifelong project. What he lacks in that department however he makes up for in looks and charm. -House/Crate Trained -Good with other dogs -Over the top loving -Moderate energy -Loves being with his human. Barney is such a sweet and well tempered boy that woudl do best in a quiet house, as he can be a nervous nelly. We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Hi there! My name is Dash, and I'm an approximately 8-month-old Great Pyrenees/Hound mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I came to Rockwall Adoption Center when my family could no longer care for me, and now I'm ready to find my forever adventure partner. I currently weigh about 50 pounds (as of 2/14/26), and I still have some growing to do! I'm a bright, happy, outgoing guy who is very much still a puppy. I love to play, explore, and make new friends. I'm good with other dogs and enjoy having canine buddies to romp around with. When I get excited to meet new people or doggy friends, I can be a little vocal - I just can't help announcing my enthusiasm! I would thrive in an active home that's ready for puppy energy, continued training, and lots of fun. With guidance and consistency, I'm going to grow into an amazing, loyal companion. My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccine and DAPPV booster, and I'm heartworm negative. If you're interested in meeting or adopting me, please submit an adoption application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ I can't wait to see what adventures we could go on together!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. March 28, 2026, 7:18 pm

Story
This beauty visited us because Pretty Girl was in heat and he wanted to court her! We made sure her pen was secure and confirmed her spay appt which was just days away. Thankfully she has been spayed but this kid didn’t want to leave. He’s very skinny. That’s why his name is Skynyrd as in the rock star! This guy is a rock star , too! He is getting up to date on vaccs, the normal worming and neuter . He’s very sweet and very smart! He was neglected but guessing not abused. He’s a great dog that needs a family and a yard and lots of love! We think he’s about one year old. He’s hungry so he’s gaining weight and getting healthy to go home with you.If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Hi! I'm Miss Moon! I will be 6 years old in May, and I'm only 75lbs. I know my manners very well, except I tend to like to bark at anything nearby. No one understands that I'm trying to protect them! I LOVE to play tug-a-war with my big twist ropes! I really enjoy laying around inside near my people if it's too hot, but I love rolling in fresh cut grass too...my owner says it turns me green! I'm very loyal and protective of my people, my owner says that I'm true to my breed for personality. I do enjoy car rides, specially if I get front seat! We had to move to the city and I really don't like it, it's been very scary and now I have something called Anxiety...I hope I can find an owner that understands what that is better than me. I am house trained, crate trained, know basic commands, I'm pretty good on a leash but I don't like when others come too close. Honestly I want to find a place I can roam free again! My owner is willing to travel to my new home!

Story
Meet Yogi Paw-erra! Yogi Paw-erra is an approximately 10-week-old (as of 03/23/26) male Anatolian Shepherd mix who currently weighs 19 lbs. This adorable pup was found at Tuttle Ball field in Rockwall on 03/09/26, and after completing his stray hold with no owner coming forward, he is now looking for a loving forever home. Like all puppies, Peanut Butter is full of curiosity, energy, and potential. Puppies require time, patience, training, and consistency to grow into well-mannered adult dogs. His future family should be prepared to help him learn important life skills such as house training, crate training, basic obedience, proper socialization with people and other dogs, and appropriate chewing habits. Puppies thrive with structure, positive reinforcement, regular veterinary care, and plenty of exercise and mental enrichment. Yogi Paw-erra's adoption fee is $125, which includes his neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, first round of puppy boosters, and first dewormer. All pets adopted under the age of 12 weeks are required to return to Rockwall Adoptions (RAC) for their spay/neuter surgery and rabies vaccination in accordance with Texas state law. Yogi Paw-erra is scheduled to be neutered on April 8, 2026, and this date is non-negotiable. Puppies require an approved online adoption application before meet and greets can be scheduled. Meet and greets are arranged on a first-come, first-served basis by approved application only. To submit an adoption application, please visit: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ If you're ready for the fun, training, and lifelong commitment that comes with raising a puppy, Yogi Paw-erra may be the perfect addition to your family. Story
Meet Champ – A Big Heart Looking for His Person Champ is a 2-year-old, 71 lb Anatolian Shepherd mix who has been waiting for his forever home for 361 days as of 03/27/26. As one of our Diamond Dogs, his adoption fee is just $75—but the loyalty and devotion he offers are truly priceless. Champ is incredibly people-focused and forms a deep bond with his person. He walks beautifully on a leash, is intelligent and eager to learn, and thrives with structure, routine, and consistent leadership. He would do best in a home with older children or adults who are comfortable with a large dog, no cats or small animals, and a securely fenced yard (minimum 6Âפ ft, no chain link). Champ may do well with a submissive female dog or as the only pet. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative as of 03/27/26. Champ isn't just looking for a home—he's looking for his person, and in the right environment, he will be an incredibly loyal, affectionate companion.
