Story
Meet Barney! This pup was wondering around our community for weeks as a stray. Catching him wasn’t easy but let me tell ya, now that he’s had a taste of AC he’s never going back to the stray life haha. Barney in typical Great Pyrenees fashion is an absolute LOVER. He wants do be near his humans and he wants that Pyr fur all over you! Great with dogs big and small although not super playful. Definitely more of a wallflower with the occasional zoomie. Leash work is still a work in progress which for this breed is a lifelong project. What he lacks in that department however he makes up for in looks and charm. -House/Crate Trained -Good with other dogs -Over the top loving -Moderate energy -Loves being with his human. Barney is such a sweet and well tempered boy that woudl do best in a quiet house, as he can be a nervous nelly. We do not ships dog out of state. All adopters must travel to Dallas to meet their potential animal in person before moving forward with an adoption trial run.

Story
Meet Dash, an approximately 8-month-old Great Pyrenees/Hound mix that weighs around 50 Lbs. Dash has a big personality and an even bigger heart. He came to Rockwall Adoption Center when his previous family was no longer able to care for him and is now ready to find a forever home filled with love, structure, and adventure. He is a bright, happy, and outgoing puppy who loves to play, explore, and make new friends. He does well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion to help burn off his puppy energy. When meeting new people or dogs, Dash can be a bit vocal, simply because he gets so excited to say hello. As a young dog, he will benefit from continued training, consistency, and guidance to help him mature into a well-mannered adult. Dash would thrive in an active home that can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of time together, as he enjoys being part of the action. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination and DAPPV booster, and heartworm negative. Dash has now earned Diamond Dog status as of 04/13/26, which means he has been in shelter care for longer than 90 days and his adoption fee has been reduced to $75. If you are looking for a fun, loyal, and adventurous companion, Dash may be the perfect addition to your family. To apply to adopt Dash, please complete an application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ .  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. Story
This beauty visited us because Pretty Girl was in heat and he wanted to court her! We made sure her pen was secure and confirmed her spay appt which was just days away. Thankfully she has been spayed but this kid didn’t want to leave. He’s very skinny. That’s why his name is Skynyrd as in the rock star! This guy is a rock star , too! He is getting up to date on vaccs, the normal worming and neuter . He’s very sweet and very smart! He was neglected but guessing not abused. He’s a great dog that needs a family and a yard and lots of love! We think he’s about one year old. He’s hungry so he’s gaining weight and getting healthy to go home with you.If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Hi! I'm Miss Moon! I will be 6 years old in May, and I'm only 75lbs. I know my manners very well, except I tend to like to bark at anything nearby. No one understands that I'm trying to protect them! I LOVE to play tug-a-war with my big twist ropes! I really enjoy laying around inside near my people if it's too hot, but I love rolling in fresh cut grass too...my owner says it turns me green! I'm very loyal and protective of my people, my owner says that I'm true to my breed for personality. I do enjoy car rides, specially if I get front seat! We had to move to the city and I really don't like it, it's been very scary and now I have something called Anxiety...I hope I can find an owner that understands what that is better than me. I am house trained, crate trained, know basic commands, I'm pretty good on a leash but I don't like when others come too close. Honestly I want to find a place I can roam free again! My owner is willing to travel to my new home!

Story
Gabe is my 7 year old Pyrador. He was born in my sewing room in a litter of 10. Father purebred Pyrenese, mother Pyrenese/Labrador Retriever. He's always been great with kids & cats. But he woke up one morning hating my other male. I had to separate him and have tried to reintroduce them several times to no avail. They fight through the fence but neighbor dogs come around and he has no problem with them. He's a great watch dog but not aggressive with strangers. He's friendly but a little wary. I really love him but can't keep him penned up by himself. He might need to be the only dog at least at first. He can be very loving as this breed usually is.

Story
Meet Champ – The Underdog Ready to Win Your Heart Champ isn't just his name- it's who he is. This 2-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix (71 lbs) has spent 375 days waiting as of 04/10/26, and through it all, he has never stopped believing that his person is out there. As one of our Diamond Dogs, his adoption fee is just $75- but the loyalty, devotion, and heart he brings are truly priceless. Champ is the kind of dog who forms a deep, unbreakable bond with his person. He is incredibly people-focused, always looking to connect, and thrives when he has someone to call his own. Once you're in his circle, you're everything to him. He walks beautifully on a leash, is intelligent and eager to learn, and does best with structure, routine, and confident leadership. Champ is not just looking for a home- he's looking for a teammate, someone who will guide him, believe in him, and let him be the loyal companion he was meant to be. Champ would do best in a home with older children or adults who are comfortable with a large, strong dog. He is not a match for homes with cats or small animals and will require a securely fenced yard (6Âפ ft, no chain link). He may do well with a submissive female dog or thrive as the only pet where he can fully focus on his person. After more than a year in the shelter, Champ is more than ready to step into the life he deserves- a life where he is no longer waiting, but finally home. Champ is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative as of 03/27/26. If you're looking for a dog who will stand by your side, be fiercely loyal, and give you his whole heart, Champ is ready to meet you. He's waited long enough- now it's his time to win. Story
Meet Molly, a 6-year-old Anatolian Shepherd/Pit Bull mix who weighs approximately 93 pounds and is looking for the right home to match her loyal and intelligent personality. Molly was surrendered to our facility after she was not compatible with the other dogs in her previous home. She is very treat-motivated, knows several basic commands, walks well on a leash, and even knows some fun tricks like offering her paw for a “shake.” Molly appears to be both housebroken and crate trained, which should help make her transition into a new home smoother. As a middle-aged, extra-large breed dog, Molly prefers a calmer environment and is past the stage of puppy antics. Because of this, she would do best in a home with children 16 years or older, or in an adult-only household. Molly does not do well with female dogs but may coexist with a calm, large-breed male. If you currently have a large male dog in the home, a meet and greet will be required prior to adoption to ensure they are a good match. Molly's adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on her rabies vaccination, and up to date on basic boosters. If you are interested in meeting Molly, please submit an adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/our-pets/available-dogs/  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com.
