Story
Half Great Pyrenees and half Akbash, Mia is the best of two awesome livestock guardian breeds. Born to hardworking livestock guardian parents, they have inherited the intelligence, loyalty and gentle nature that make both breeds so beloved. While their parents take their jobs seriously, these puppies are looking for something just a tad different - a family of their own. They are being raised with plenty of love and socialization and are growing into confident, curious and affectionate youngsters.

Story
Charlie is a sweet Akbash/Pyr mix, who is protective of his person, and has the typical Pyr attitude. He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs 102 pounds. Charlie does well with the smaller dogs in the current foster home, though would probably do best as an only dog. Charley very much enjoys "working"...having something to do. Though we do not allow him to be an outdoor dog, he very much enjoys his time in the yard/sun. He loves going for walks, but is often scared of other unknown big dogs. Charlie is great with the cats in the current foster home, and absolutely LOVES men!!! If interested in Charlie, please fill out our foster or adoption application online: www.salvagedsoulspetrescue.org.

Story
Meet Hemlock, a charming 3 year old 70 pound neutered mixed breed boy that came in as a stray on 7/10. In his breed mix are likely the following: Lab/Retriever and Anatolian Shepherd. He is one bright-eyed, bushy-tailed boy. In spending time with him, I found him to be well-behaved, submissive, cool, calm, and collected and gentle. He has a very lovable personality. He enjoyed hanging out with a human friend and was quite affectionate, very OK with being loved on and petted. When he looks at you with those beautiful soulful eyes, it will melt your heart! He hopes to find a forever home in which he will live inside and bond with his people and live a comfortable cushy life! Hemlock is an incredible sweetheart! Can you tell he has won a place in my heart?

Story
Noelle is a gentle soul that has a lot of love to bestow on her humans! She’s what we call a velcro dog because she seeks closeness. She sometimes jumps on you very gently just for a snuggle. She is a 4-year-old 58 pound Anatolian Shepherd/Lab mix that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 6/6 as a stray. She’s a very attractive, fluffy girl that looks bigger than she really is. She’s got soft alluring brown eyes and a curly tail. She casually moseyed around the yard, and then she would come back and look up at me. She gave me kisses. She didn’t appear to know the sit command, but that’s something you could teach her. She stays so close when walking on a leash. There’s no doubt that she would be a loyal, devoted companion. She would like to spend time outside to take in the smells and the sunshine, but then come inside to be close as she is a wonderful cuddlebug.

Story
Gordon enjoys life and everyone and everything in it! Gordon is a five month old black and white mostly Border Collie/Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that weighs 44 pounds. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 8/24 as a stray. He appears to be well cared for. His coat is very clean and shiny. He’s also very fluffy and soft. He is joyous, friendly, peppy, outgoing, fun loving, playful, affectionate, and sweet. He wants to be close and since he’s an energetic puppy, he gets carried away and jumps on you. He is highly motivated by treats and sits for them although he doesn’t stay sitting for very long. He should be easy to train. He walks OK on a leash. Gordon will need frequent exercise and playtime along with a manners training to become the beautiful obedient dog he is meant to be! Are you up for the challenge?
