Story
Casper spent his early years living outdoors in the country but has has acclimated well to indoor city life! He gets along well with cats and other dogs and has developed great house manners and does so well on the leash, though like all Great Pyrenees he will want to stop and greet everyone and smell everything! Casper is a happy four year old pup who will love having a ball thrown for him and presenting his belly for a good rub! He really is the perfect dog and at 60 lbs, he's a great size for apartment and condo living. Don't wait long! He is ready for his happy ever after to come soon!

Story
Meet Peyton – A Gentle Soul with So Much Love to Give Located in the DFW Area | Age: 2 Years | Female Peyton’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her heart is still wide open. Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation, this sweet girl is now safe and thriving in her foster home thanks to TGPR. Peyton is the definition of a love bug—quiet, gentle, and affectionate. She’s learning to trust and build confidence every day and is already showing how much love she has to offer. She gets along beautifully with her foster brother, an extra-large alpha male dog, and is respectful and submissive in all the right ways. She’s also house-trained, crate-comfortable (she even naps there with the door open!), and travels well in the car. Peyton quickly became a staff favorite at both the shelter and the vet’s office, and it’s easy to see why! Her favorite things? Ear rubs, being brushed, and gazing lovingly into your eyes like you’re her whole world. Peyton is looking for a kind, patient family to help her continue her journey to healing and happiness. Could that be you? Apply to meet her at TGPR.org

Story
Hank's owner died and the family left him there to fend for himself. He is a very big guy and genuinely the epitome of the gentle giant. He is so happy to be in a home (he wasn't an inside dog before) and to be getting regular meals. The difference in a short time is mind-blowing. He is a little afraid of doorways still, and working on his leash skills, but he is wonderful in the home, with his foster sibs, and just as gentle as a lamb. This is an awesome dog, with a giant head, the sweetest eyes, and the soul of an angel.

Story
Kevin is a happy, outgoing, and playful boy who loves attention as much as he loves meal times and treats. He lives with dogs of all sizes and ages and gets along with everyone, but he is not fond of cats. Unlike some members of his breed, Kevin does not require a job other than loving his family and friends; he enjoys being a house dog when he is not outside playing with his friends or spending time with his humans. (or chasing the squirrels, which of course)He loves to give hugs, so he will jump up on someone his size if he gets a chance to provide one, but he is very gentle and is learning only to do this if invited. He loves going for walks, and if you happen to drop his leash while walking, he is happy to pick it up and carry it for you; he will often help you hold it as well. He would be an excellent go-everywhere kind of guy, as he enjoys making friends and going for rides.Kevin is house- and crate-trained, but he is only crated in his foster home when his human is not there. If you do not notice when he wants to go outside, he will tell you. He will counter surf if he thinks he can smell some food up there, but otherwise, he has excellent house manners.Kevin is fully vetted - current on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on flea/tick andheartworm prevention.

Story
Buddy is currently looking for a new home since his current owner is in declining health due to terminal illness. She has had Buddy since Nov 2022 where he was adopted from the Watauga Animal Shelter. Buddy is about 4 years old and he is very friendly, highly energetic and very smart. Buddy would probably due best with someone who is familiar with training dogs and can spend time with him so he can actually bond. No information on how well he does with young children but he currently lives with a kitten(young cat) , who he plays with a lot, and with an Australian cattle dog. Buddy is currently up to date on all of his shots and is currently taking HW preventative medication. He has been chipped and has already been altered. Ideal place would include large yard and possibly put to work as his breed was intended. Thank you for considering Buddy to be part of your family.
