Story
Hi, I'm Luk! I'm a a 55 lb beautiful good girl who is the perfect mix of playful and calm — I love a good walk and exploring all the outdoor smells (squirrels and bunnies get me *very* excited, though I promise it's all in good fun). But I'm just as happy curled up quietly beside you while you read, work, or relax. **A little about me:** - I'm smart and love a good challenge — puzzle toys, training games, bring it on - Treats are my love language, and I could get belly rubs forever - I'm not a fan of the heat — after a walk, I'm ready for A/C and a cool floor over cozy carpet any day - I'm house trained - I'm still working on being left alone, but I've made huge progress and I know I'll settle in once I have a consistent home **With others:** I seem to love other dogs and people — I get excited to say hi when we pass dogs on our walks! I haven't met a cat yet, so we'll see. I really miss having a buddy around, so I think I'd do best with another animal companion to keep me secure, entertained, and less anxious. **My ideal home:** I'd love a family with a yard, plenty of people around to love on me, and maybe a furry sibling for company. I do best with minimal time home alone — someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule would be perfect. With consistent exercise and mental stimulation, I know I'll thrive. I promise to bring so much love and joy into your life. I look at you with the gentlest eyes, and honestly, I just want to be near you. Come meet me? Interested in adding Luk to your pack? Story
We are looking to find Willow a good and loving home. We acquired Willow from a breeder in Oregon when she was a puppy. Her birthday is October 31st, so she is 1 year and 9 months old. She is fully potty trained and knows the commands sit, stay, down. She loves to jump up on you and we have tried to break her of that habit but have not had any luck. She loves to play tug of war with any of her rope toys. She loves to go on walks. She sleeps in a crate with a bed inside. She seems to be very alpha when she has been around other dogs and sometimes a little aggressive. Willow can get possessive and aggressive if she gets something she is not supposed to have, like a sock or trash. She has actually snapped at one of us and then just recently she bit our daughter's hand when she tried to get some trash from her. She really is a sweet dog but we have not been able to train that aggression out of her. We are hoping to find the right fit for her.

Story
Hunter is a calm and gentle guy who tends to keep to himself and seems to prefer a more relaxed environment. From our volunteer observations, he appears nervous at times but accepts gentle greetings from other dogs while maintaining his own space. Hunter would likely do well in a quieter home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. Contact us about Hunter today!

Story
Meet Nelly   Nelly is a beautiful 5 year old Akita mix with a gentle heart and an easygoing personality. She isn't the type who needs constant entertainment. She's perfectly happy relaxing on her own, but the moment you sit down to give her attention, she's all in for affection and love.   She is housebroken, non-destructive, and gets along well with other dogs. Whether she's sharing a home with canine friends or soaking up the peace and quiet as your one and only, Nelly is simply happy to be part of the family.   Nelly's story is a heartbreaking one. She was abandoned when the family she loved moved away, leaving her behind to fend for herself. Despite that betrayal, she has remained sweet, trusting, and full of love to give. Now all she wants is a family who will never leave her again.   If you're looking for a loyal, calm companion who will happily spend her days by your side, Nelly is ready to start her next chapter with you.   Adoption application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/13102/generic ##2777382##

Story
Meet Buddy! A handsome seven-year-old Siberian Husky/Shepherd mix from Frazee, MN, whose essence is a calm, loyal heart wrapped in a beautiful white and apricot coat. He is the kind of companion who makes every day brighter, whether he is exploring a wooded trail, happily chasing a tennis ball, or curling up beside his favorite people for a well-earned snuggle! Buddy has wonderful manners, is house trained, and has completed formal obedience training, proudly responding to commands like sit, stay, come, down, off, paw, shake, nudge, drop, and fetch. His intelligence shines through in everything he does, and he genuinely enjoys learning while spending time with the people he loves. Buddy's easygoing personality has helped him become compatible with an impressive variety of friends. He has lived comfortably alongside children, another dog, several cats, a turkey, and even a flock of chickens, making him just as happy in the country as he is in a neighborhood with room for daily adventures. Car rides and swimming are among his favorite outings, and he especially enjoys being included wherever life takes his family. Having previously worked as a service dog, he thrives when he can stay close to his favorite person and be part of everyday activities! Like many devoted companions, Buddy prefers a predictable routine but can also adapt when life changes. He would do best with a family who understands that he feels most secure when he is included instead of being left alone in a locked crate. He sometimes gives gentle attention-seeking nips, simply sharing his strong opinions in his own clever way. He also receives medication to manage a suspected skin condition affecting his nose, while the rest of his health evaluations, including his hips and elbows, have been excellent. Daily brushing, monthly baths, and regular dental care help keep him feeling his best. Because he enjoys exploring and can jump fences, a secure fenced yard is important! Buddy is ready to share unwavering companionship, laughter, and countless adventures with a loving family who welcomes him as an everyday partner. Could Buddy be the loyal friend who joins your next adventure? If you’re interested in providing Buddy with a loving home, please email meetme@joyfulpets.com for more information about adopting him! Please note that Buddy is currently in foster care through one of our trusted rescue partners and will remain with his foster family until the right match is found. Because rescue-partner pets are managed directly by their respective organizations, their adoption process, requirements, and fees may differ from Joyful Pets’ direct rehoming program. Our team will be happy to connect you with the rescue and help guide you through their process to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Story
Meet Doggert! A joyful American Pitbull Terrier/Siberian Husky mix currently in Waxahachie, TX, estimated to be about three to four years old, whose essence is a whirlwind of fun wrapped in a tan-and-white coat and topped with the biggest, goofiest smile you’ve ever seen. At around 75 pounds of pure personality, Doggert is the kind of companion who turns every day into an adventure with a tennis ball in his mouth and his expressive ears flopping in the breeze. This playful, affectionate boy is a real crowd-pleaser at the dog park, where he zips around like a furry rocket, always ready to fetch, chase, and make new friends! He’s wonderfully friendly with other dogs, gets along well with cats, and has a gentle, happy-go-lucky way with children. Whether he's zooming across the yard or melting into a cuddle session after a long walk, Doggert balances his active lifestyle with heartwarming affection, especially if you’re into toe kisses! Doggert is house-trained, crate-trained, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He knows basic commands like sit, stay, come, and even responds to hand signals for “lay.” He adjusts well to a routine and stays calm when left alone, but he truly lights up when his people are nearby. A fenced yard is a must for this speedy sprinter! He needs space to run, explore, and release his Husky side in full glory. Got an active lifestyle? Doggert is your perfect partner for morning jogs, weekend hikes, or backyard fetch marathons! He’s always game for adventure but equally content to flop down for some belly rubs afterward. Just be sure to keep a few tennis balls handy! He loves to chew and these trusty toys help him steer clear of anything off-limits. Doggert needs a family or guardian who values playtime, companionship, and outdoor fun. If your heart’s big enough for one oversized grin and your yard’s roomy enough for zoomies, could Doggert be the cheerful new buddy you’ve been waiting for? Ready to meet this lovable goofball? Story
Meet Bowie! A loyal five-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd/Siberian Husky/Australian Cattle Dog mix currently in Castle Rock, CO, whose gentle spirit shines through his striking tricolor coat and unwavering devotion to the people he loves. At 65 pounds, Bowie is a calm, affectionate companion who finds happiness in life's simple pleasures, whether he is soaking up the sunshine, taking a leisurely walk, or curling up with one of his favorite stuffed animals for a cozy nap. He also has a charming Husky-inspired way of "talking," often greeting his favorite people with playful howls that are sure to make you smile! Bowie has completed formal obedience training and proudly knows commands like sit, down, shake, and circle. He travels beautifully, enjoys car rides, comes when called, and settles peacefully when left alone, often choosing a quiet place to relax until his family returns. His easygoing energy makes him a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys a predictable routine and appreciates a dog who is just as happy lounging on the deck as he is exploring the neighborhood. Like many thoughtful dogs, Bowie communicates when he needs space. He has experienced two bite incidents after being unexpectedly hurt or startled when someone accidentally stepped on or fell onto him. Outside of those very specific situations, he is loving, playful, and deeply connected with his trusted people. His guardians have also worked extensively with a professional trainer to successfully address earlier leash reactivity, and he has done very well since then! Bowie thrives in a calm, adults-only home with a low-key lifestyle, thoughtful introductions to visitors, and consistent routines. While he happily shared life with a cat for many years, he needs to be the only dog in his next family. He is healthy, neutered, microchipped, house-trained, current on vaccinations, and eats Hill's Science Diet food to support his sensitive stomach. Bowie has so much companionship, loyalty, and quiet joy to share with the right family. If you are looking for a faithful friend who will happily accompany you through peaceful days and cozy evenings, Bowie may be waiting to meet you! Could Bowie be the devoted companion you've been hoping to welcome into your life? To learn more about adopting him, please contact adopt@joyfulpets.com.
