Story
Teddy is a nearly 4 year old Akita with an easygoing, independent nature. He loves spending his days relaxing and taking things at his own pace, but he&#39s always happy to soak up attention when his people offer it. He&#39s fully house trained and sleeps comfortably in his crate overnight. Teddy is playful and enjoys exploring fenced in areas and engaging in gentle games, tug with stuffed toys is his absolute favorite. He also gets along well with dogs of all sizes and has a calm, respectful presence that many pups appreciate. Teddy is looking for a home that values his mellow personality, gives him space to unwind, and welcomes his sweet, understated affection. If you&#39re hoping for a peaceful companion with a touch of playful spirit, he might be the perfect match. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Story
Destiny is a puppy who is 6 mo. old. She has lots of energy, and likes to run outside, sit out in the sun, play with balls, plush animals, and plastic bottles. She is potty trained, responds to the "sit" command and notifies you when she wants to go outside and come inside. She is an explorer and very curious about her surroundings. Because she is still a puppy, she has a tendency to bite your hands and feet and chew on anything she can find. She loves to receive attention and if you do not give it to her, she will let you know by picking up one of her chewing toys and bringing it to you for a game of tug-of-war or will gently bite you for attention. Her sleep schedule is from 10 pm - 5 am. Does well with small kids and among other dogs. Will bark only when needing attention. Looking to re-home with a loving family who will give her all the attention she deserves. It breaks our heart to let go of her but due to our busy schedules and lifestyle, we are unable to

Story
I am rehoming this sweet girl due to a baby on the way and I cannot give her the attention she needs. Her name is Stella and she is an American Akita (possibly mixed). Shes energetic, playful, curious, extroverted, but very sweet. She gets a long with our 2 house cats. Loves smaller dogs more than big dogs. She'll be 3 years old on February 11th. She is NOT spayed. She is potty trained and great on a leash. Has a micro chip and all of her shots (documented). I really love her and wish I could handle a baby and a dog but unfortunately in my situation, I cannot. She deserves better. She needs a loving family who can give her the attention she needs.

Story
Hi, I’m Rose I’m a 4-year-old Akita with a dainty, gentle soul. I can be shy in new or overwhelming situations, but once I feel safe, I truly enjoy soft pets and quiet affection. I’m calm, sweet, and would thrive in a patient, understanding home where I can build confidence at my own pace and show you just how loving I can be.

Story
Chai is a four year old Husky mix who LOVES to be loved. He is so sweet, gentle, minus some jumping. If he could, he would spend all the time outside, curled up by your side, or licking frozen chicken broth. He is very social and a little nervous with change - someone with a predictable routine, some doggie friends, and a big yard would be the absolute best for him. No fee. Just someone to love him.

Story
Buddy is a healthy, happy 1.5-year-old Husky mix weighing about 55 pounds. With a zest for life and a heart full of love, he&#39s always ready for fetch, hikes, and outdoor fun! He&#39s the perfect mix of playful energy and loyal companionship. Buddy gets along with most dogs when introduced properly, though he prefers smaller playgroups. He&#39s potty trained, food-motivated, and a quick learner--just bring treats and watch him shine! Buddy&#39s still figuring out how he feels about cats and kids, but he&#39s open to meeting them with a patient, loving family. He&#39s neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready to go. Found as a stray in a local park, Buddy is now searching for a forever home where he can feel safe, have fun, and be part of the family. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. Our dogs are also heartworm negative (or we will cover their treatment). To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Buddy is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so custody and ongoing care are provided by the foster, not by DFWRM.September 7, 2025, 11:31 pm

Story
Mila was dropped off with me by an extended family member and was supposed to only stay a week but her owner has not been responding, hasn’t made any plans for her continued care and it’s been almost a month. I have a puppy and can’t afford another dog. She will be 2 in April and is a bit nervous around new people (especially men). Unfortunately she may have been abused as a puppy. She is super sweet, quiet and comes when called! She has a lot of energy in the mornings so daily walks or a big yard is ideal.
