Story
Ben was born in a high kill shelter on 2/3/2021. He was a day old when we brought him home along with his 10 siblings and his mother. All that remains is Ben and his mom Lily. They have been waiting patiently. But now it is thThis is Ben and he has been with Chloe’s Pet Rescue since he was a newborn. He is now going on three years old. We aren’t sure why he hasn’t found his “furever” home. He’s such a handsome guy. We believe he is an Akita/American Pit Bull mix. Ben is very friendly when meeting new people (after a few sniffs and he’s good to go) and is good with other dogs. In fact, if it looks like another dog wants to get into a tiff, he walks away. Ben is energetic and loves to go outdoors. He’s great walking on a leash, knows come here, stop, breakfast and dinner and is crate and house trained. One of his favorite things to play with is a ball. Something he does not like is rain and thunder. Don’t go out and buy a new bed for this guy because he will chew it up, just throw a blanket down and he is very content. Ben’s adoption fee is $25, which includes his full vetting.

Story
Hi there! I’m Captain Janeway, but you can just call me Kate (IYKYK). I was recently saved by TXHR with my puppies and I want to introduce myself to the group. Below is my Husker profile: Age- approximately 3 years Likes —food —treats (I’ll sit pretty for you!) —naps —human attention (I’m still learning about cuddling, but I like it so far!) Dislikes —baths —walks —Zoomies (what is that even supposed to be about?) —when other dogs try to play—I don't do that —taking care of my puppies …. I will do what I have to, but it’s not something I enjoy. They bite, cry, & try to play with me. Rude. I already said I’m not into playing! My qualities: —house trained —leash trained —crate trained 3 bad habits I have: —digging —counter cruising —trying to steal the human’s food (if they didn’t want me to have it, why did they leave it unattended?) What I need is a loving human (or 2) who will commit to giving me the care I didn’t get before being rescued. I don’t bite, fight, run away, or need much beyond good food and a comfy place to sleep. If you are looking for a dog buddy for your current dog, please keep looking—that’s not me! I won’t be mean to your dog, but I don’t want to be friends, either. Maybe you have an apartment…Ok. I’m just going to sleep most the day. Take me out to do my business regularly and we’ll be a great combination! Maybe you just want ONE husky but you’ve heard they usually need a friend. I don’t! I can be your only! I’d prefer it, because then I get all the attention! &#226&#128&#139&#226&#128&#139Apply to adopt Janeway at https://texashuskyrescue.org/apply-to-adopt September 17, 2025, 2:38 pm

Story
Meet Milo!   This handsome guy is around 1.5 years old and is between 35-40 lbs. He's super friendly and loves people and other dogs. He would do best in a home without cats (or chickens).   Unfortunately, he and his sister, Riley, were involved in a house fire and their fur had to be shaved due to it being scorched and was beyond saving. He's a naturally fluffy boy and will require brushing and regular grooming to keep it from getting matted.   He and Riley are currently hanging out at boarding but would love a foster home to relax while they wait for their forever family! Dog friendly House training Crate trained unknown Loves kids No Cats Apply to adopt Milo at https://texashuskyrescue.org/apply-to-adopt/ today! November 4, 2025, 4:48 pm
