THE FOLLOWING PET IS FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT!!! Details belowAdoption application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/57167/genericMeet Tonka!Tonka is a big, goofy, lovable Akita with a silly personality and plenty of affection to share. He loves walks, frozen Kongs, puzzle toys, squeaky toys, and any activity that keeps his mind engaged. When he's excited, he's all kisses and enthusiasm, and he's learning his manners every day.Like many Akitas, Tonka is not the right fit for every home. He is looking for an experienced, breed-savvy adopter who understands the unique traits and needs of Akitas and is committed to providing structure, training, and proper management. He would thrive with an active family and a securely fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and enjoy supervised outdoor time.Tonka has a strong prey drive and is very interested in squirrels and cats, so he will need careful introductions to other pets and may be happiest as the only dog in the home. Because we're still learning his preferences with other dogs, any introductions should be done slowly and thoughtfully.Tonka's ideal family will appreciate his goofy spirit, continue his training, and understand that building trust and maintaining boundaries are key to helping him succeed. In return, you'll gain a loyal, entertaining companion with a huge heart and plenty of personality. He was born in February 2026 and is being fostered in Texas.OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR PENNSYLVANIA BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information. All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Pennsylvania. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc). Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days. Story
Kita is a sweet boy who has been overlooked at the shelter, and he’s patiently waiting for the person who will finally see just how special he is.Kita is good with other dogs, although he can be a little scared of male dogs and would do best with slow, thoughtful introductions. He’s also okay with cats, but he’ll let you know that he’d much rather have his human all to himself and will play with them not understanding the cat isn`t interested! Kita loves his people and wants to be your loyal, devoted companion. He’s great with kids, and when he’s not soaking up attention, you can find him doing two of his favorite things: playing fetch and splashing around in the pool! After being passed over time and time again, Kita continues to wait patiently for his perfect match. He doesn’t need a perfect home — he just needs someone willing to give him a chance and show him the love he deserves.Kita truly is the best dog, and we know his person is out there. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for? Please don’t let Kita be overlooked again. Give this amazing boy a chance to be your best friend.

Story
Hunter isn’t looking for a packed social calendar. He’s more interested in the quiet life. This gentle guy is content doing his own thing and seems to appreciate having a little space to simply relax and take everything in. Around other dogs, Hunter accepts polite greetings but doesn’t feel the need to join every party. He can be unsure in unfamiliar situations, so a quieter home where he can settle into a predictable routine may be just his speed. If you’re looking for a low-key companion who won’t demand the spotlight, Hunter could be a perfect match.

Story
Hi, I'm Luk! I'm a a 55 lb beautiful good girl who is the perfect mix of playful and calm — I love a good walk and exploring all the outdoor smells (squirrels and bunnies get me *very* excited, though I promise it's all in good fun). But I'm just as happy curled up quietly beside you while you read, work, or relax. **A little about me:** - I'm smart and love a good challenge — puzzle toys, training games, bring it on - Treats are my love language, and I could get belly rubs forever - I'm not a fan of the heat — after a walk, I'm ready for A/C and a cool floor over cozy carpet any day - I'm house trained - I'm still working on being left alone, but I've made huge progress and I know I'll settle in once I have a consistent home **With others:** I seem to love other dogs and people — I get excited to say hi when we pass dogs on our walks! I haven't met a cat yet, so we'll see. I really miss having a buddy around, so I think I'd do best with another animal companion to keep me secure, entertained, and less anxious. **My ideal home:** I'd love a family with a yard, plenty of people around to love on me, and maybe a furry sibling for company. I do best with minimal time home alone — someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule would be perfect. With consistent exercise and mental stimulation, I know I'll thrive. I promise to bring so much love and joy into your life. I look at you with the gentlest eyes, and honestly, I just want to be near you. Come meet me? Interested in adding Luk to your pack? He’s gentle when meeting new people and has the sweetest way of following his foster mom around the house, taking everything in with his adorable head tilts. Muk is potty trained, crate trained and leash trained. He’s an active boy who loves getting out and exploring, but once he’s had some exercise, he’s happy to relax and hang out with his people. Muk is ready for a family to call his own, he’s just waiting for his people to find him! Fill out an application to meet Muk! Questions? Email placement@thestreetdogproject.org.

Some pets are in the Shelter and others in Foster homes. Please read the bio & email the address listed in the bio.    FOR DOGS, email trinitygapclub@gmail.com        MEET RIVER — A GENTLE GIRL LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME!   River’s story hasn’t been an easy one. She was found wandering the streets with her good friend Otis, a 13-lb Shih Tzu. Life was hard for both of them, and while Otis was lucky enough to find his forever home, River needed a lot of medical care before she could begin her next chapter.   Thankfully, River is now on the road to recovery and ready to find her forever family!   Have you ever wanted a Husky who is actually chill and calm? Then River might be your girl! ❤️   River is incredibly sweet and gentle. She isn’t very vocal, but when she does talk, it’s absolutely adorable! Most of all, she just wants to be near her person, lay beside you, and soak up all the love she can get.   ✨ A little about River: Gentle, calm & affectionate Fully potty trained Working on leash training Knows a few commands Good with other dogs Good with cats Loves being around her people Not overly vocal Blind in one eye, but don’t let that fool you—nothing slows this girl down! ❤️   River is such a special girl. After everything she has been through, she deserves a family who will show her just how wonderful life can be.   Could River be the dog you’ve been looking for? ❤️ Please share her story and help us find the family she has been waiting for! Every share could help River find her forever. Please email  Steffeniegaprescue@gmail.comAugust 28, 2026, 8:42 pm

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained,
Story
When we got her she wasn’t 5 weeks, we were told and was only about 2-3 weeks. She had worms. Though we had got her worms removed and she became healthy. We had a stalking issue where the person stalking us was a ex-marine and was training our dog so it wouldn’t bite him and she did become noticeably a little aggressive. Though by now it has been trained out of her, she used to get along with dogs really well but since the stalking incident she can’t tolerate any other dogs when it comes to resources. She became resource aggressive. By now I’ve tried to train what I could out, she is pretty chill and very sweet. The only times she gets aggressive, which is usual just growling, is with food. She is also very untrusting of people she doesn’t know and needs time to get to know them or if they do something she doesn’t like she’ll snap at them. She is very protective of her family. She has bitten someone once but she was startled and she didn’t know the person well who was staying with us.

Story
Coco has been my mom and I's amazing pet for the past 7 years. Due to a mental health crisis home situation, I had to remove her from my mother's home and am trying to find a new loving home for her before I have to move back to school. She is house trained, well behaved (no counter jumping, shoe chewing, etc.), loves to play fetch, knows basic commands like sit, lay, and shake and loves to snuggle up next to the couch. She is fully up to date on vaccines and tests as of 7/28/2026, microchipped, spayed, and has no health conditions. She would thrive in a home with lots of love and attention and is accustomed to being inside for long periods of time without issues. She loves having a buddy to play with but would do better with dogs close to her size for playing. She loves other dogs has no dominance issues but does get excited when seeing them on walks. Coco is 53lbs and 8 years old, gets along well with kids, but likely not cats. She is so sweet and would make a great family pet.
