Story
Hi!!My Name is King. I am a very handsome 2-year-old Akita/Shepherd Mix. I LOVE everyone I meet, including kids and dogs!! I have been around cats, and I have done really well (...and they kind of scare me lol). I am VERY treat motivated! I already know SIT, and my name. I have been working on my recall, as well as the command WAIT and MOVE OVER for when I am being walked. I enjoy going on walks/runs and will carry a toy in my mouth for the majority of it! I am an extended stay pup which means I have been looking for a loving home for over 30 days (AND I am only $25 to adopt)! This means that I also qualify for the 7-day foster to adopt trial. This program can help make sure that I am your perfect fit! Some things you should know about me before taking me home is that.....I am too cuddly, I am too photogenic, and I am too goofy.....no but really, I am a good boy. I might need some help learning your route and will need lots of toys for me to chew on. The staff here at Irving Animal Services can NOT believe that I am still available for adoption!! Make sure you stop by to meet me in person! With lots and lots and lots of Love,King

Story
Wesley Butters is a super sweet 10-year-old Akita/Husky mix. He is physically healthy, super sweet with people, but should be in a one-dog home - he does not behave well around other dogs, you shouldn't plan on taking him to the dogpark. At home, he wants to be with his people, loves belly scratches and butt rubs, treats and all the attention. When I adopted him a few years ago, no one had taught him how to play, and he still has no idea what to do with a ball. But wherever you are in the house, he will get comfortable near by, curl up and wait for you to give him pets. In the past months he has developed some anxiety, which can usually be calmed with medication, but with my work and travel schedule, I think he needs a home where he can have a loving owner making sure he gets what he needs. Adoption fee includes large crate, leash/harness, medicine to get you started.

Story
Ben was born in a high kill shelter on 2/3/2021. He was a day old when we brought him home along with his 10 siblings and his mother. All that remains is Ben and his mom Lily. They have been waiting patiently. But now it is thThis is Ben and he has been with Chloe’s Pet Rescue since he was a newborn. He is now going on three years old. We aren’t sure why he hasn’t found his “furever” home. He’s such a handsome guy. We believe he is an Akita/American Pit Bull mix. Ben is very friendly when meeting new people (after a few sniffs and he’s good to go) and is good with other dogs. In fact, if it looks like another dog wants to get into a tiff, he walks away. Ben is energetic and loves to go outdoors. He’s great walking on a leash, knows come here, stop, breakfast and dinner and is crate and house trained. One of his favorite things to play with is a ball. Something he does not like is rain and thunder. Don’t go out and buy a new bed for this guy because he will chew it up, just throw a blanket down and he is very content. Ben’s adoption fee is $25, which includes his full vetting.

Story
Funyun is full of love and is eager to have some fun in a foster home while they recover from an upper respiratory infection. Reason for Foster: URI and underweight Foster Time Frame: 2 weeks Foster Care Plan: Funyun is currently undergoing treatment for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. There is a possibility that they are contagious to other animals, so we strongly recommend keeping them separated in a bedroom or bathroom away from your personal pets until they have fully recovered. Funyun is also a very picky eater and will need to be fed 3 times a day to increase weight. They will go home with medication and we will provide supplies and a medical consultation at pickup so you are fully prepared to care for this sweetie. I am available through our Foster to Adopt program. This program helps pets awaiting or under medical treatment be placed in with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption. If interested in fostering through our Foster to Adopt program, sign up to be a foster online and express your interest in Funyun. We can schedule a pick up and meet and greet appointment. https://www.operationkindness.org/foster/
