You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Adoption info can be found in the last paragraph of this pet's profile or by visiting this direct link:   https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption Oswald is a super cute Akita pup that is going to be a BIG boy when he's all grown up. He was born around the end of November and at a little under 4 months old is already 35 lbs. Oswald is super smart and is crate trained and potty trained with a doggie door. He loves to eat and knows exactly when it is breakfast time and dinner time. He loves toys and treat puzzles. True to his breed he is very aloof with strangers and will attach to his new family. He loves to get pets from his humans, but is not interested in cuddling. The Akita is a large, strong, independent, and dominant dog and so far Oswald is showing all of those traits. He will need an experienced owner that can continue to socialize and train him so he will grow up to be the best dog he can be. Since he is so young he will need to stay local to DFW so he can be neutered once he is old enough.  If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please click here (or copy and paste https://www.dfwpuppatrol.com/info/adoption into your browser) to view our adoption info and where you will find the link to fill out our online Pre-Adoption Application.  Any questions can be directed to us at info@dfwpuppatrol.com.  All of our adoptable pups have a minimum requested adoption fee of $250  (pups 6 months and older) and $350  (pups under 6 months old), regardless of our expenses, and it includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, heartworm test for pups 6 months and older, heartworm treatment if tested positive, deworming and/or fecal test, parasite treatment if tested positive, microchipping, any immediate known health issues, and pups 4 months and older are kept current on monthly heartworm prevention. Story
Ben was born in a high kill shelter on 2/3/2021. He was a day old when we brought him home along with his 10 siblings and his mother. All that remains is Ben and his mom Lily. They have been waiting patiently. But now it is thThis is Ben and he has been with Chloe’s Pet Rescue since he was a newborn. He is now going on three years old. We aren’t sure why he hasn’t found his “furever” home. He’s such a handsome guy. We believe he is an Akita/American Pit Bull mix. Ben is very friendly when meeting new people (after a few sniffs and he’s good to go) and is good with other dogs. In fact, if it looks like another dog wants to get into a tiff, he walks away. Ben is energetic and loves to go outdoors. He’s great walking on a leash, knows come here, stop, breakfast and dinner and is crate and house trained. One of his favorite things to play with is a ball. Something he does not like is rain and thunder. Don’t go out and buy a new bed for this guy because he will chew it up, just throw a blanket down and he is very content. Ben’s adoption fee is $25, which includes his full vetting.

Story
Dublin is a 4 yr-old 48 lb fluffy Canaan/Karelian Bear Dog that arrived at the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 3/8 as a stray. Obviously as fluffy and soft as he is he will need frequent brushings. It appears he’s been well taken care of. He’s well behaved. He jumped on me once but only once. He’s alert. He stayed close. He doesn’t know the sit command, but backed up in an effort to please. He took the treat gently. He did his business in the yard and may be housebroken. He walks OK on a leash. He didn’t have a problem meeting other dogs. He’s active, but not overly so. He’s gentle, sweet, good natured, friendly and outgoing. And last but not least he wants to chill out with his family during family time. My guess is he would be a great snuggle bug.

Story
Hi! My name is Zoe! I am a 5-year-old female Husky/Shepherd mix who weights around 50 Lbs. I was found on 01/27/25 and turned into the shelter on 01/30/25 and have not been reclaimed. So now I am searching for a new furever family. I am a very sweet girl! I appear to be house broken and crate trained. I walk well on a leash and know a couple of basic commands. I enjoy the company of my furry friends and am excited to find a family to love! If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is suggested prior to adoption to ensure we get along before taking me home. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters are to date, and I am heartworm negative. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an online adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. RAC staff will be in touch with next steps.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. March 10, 2025, 2:38 pm

Story
Hi! My name is Luna. I am a 3 month old female Husky mix that weighs around 23 Lbs. I was recently surrendered to the shelter due to my family no longer having the time to spend with me. So now I am available for adoption and hoping to find my furever family soon. I will need training, socialization and lots of patience and love while I am learning my way around this great big world. Puppies require consistent training, socialization and attention in order to become good doggy canine companions suitable for a family oriented lifestyle. I also suggest researching my breed before applying to adopt. Husky's are fun, inquisitive characters who love to learn, love and play. They can get bored quite easily without a consistent routine and training. My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, boosters are to date and first dewormer. If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an online adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. RAC staff will be in touch with approved adopters to schedule meet and greets accordingly. An approved online app is required for meet and greets as well as for adoption.
