Meet Alpha! He is a 6 yr old Male, AKC Registered Akita mix that weighs 108lbs. He came in as an owner surrender on 7/21 as his owners could no longer care for him. He is an extremely handsome boy that walks ok on a leash, as he can pull a bit. I did not have the right toys nor treats he had interest in, yet I`m sure with time he will find them. He enjoyed investigating the play yard, taking in all the sights and sounds. He does know the sit and down commands. He does appear to have possibly hip dysplasia or another type of issue related to his legs that a vet can diagnose further. He doesn`t mind being petted but his focus was more on his surroundings. He did not show any interest in the other dogs that were barking at him. We do always ask if there is another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. With his breed it is important to keep his grooming up to date so he can remain comfortable. Having his own loving family, playing in a secured yard then definitely come back inside where it is nice and cool is what this wonderful boy deserves. Meet Montana! Montana is a 2 year old Shepherd mix weighing approximately 56 pounds who has been waiting for a forever home for over 90 days (as of 07/25/26). As one of our Diamond Dogs, his adoption fee has been reduced to just $75 to help him find the second chance he deserves. Montana came to us after his previous owners were no longer able to care for him. He arrived with a severe neck injury caused by a collar that had been far too tight, but he has healed well and is ready to start a new chapter. Montana is a sweet, gentle boy who is gaining confidence every day. He walks well on a leash and will thrive with a patient family that can provide love, structure, and encouragement.
