Story
Shelby is a doll despite a hard life. She was probably dumped as she just showed up to a nice family’s house. They had no fencing and they did not care if she wandered so she didn’t stay. We intervened when she continued to roam. We are getting her healthy despite neglect. She was so matted we had to cut her coat with scissors and we’re not experts so she looks like a 6 yr old gave her a haircut. It just makes her even more adorable. She is so sweet and gentle and never met a stranger. This girl is a jewel in the rough. Can you make her shine ? She will reward you with more love and loyalty than you can imagine.. She has been in a foster home so she has been groomed, is living indoors and is a wonderful companion. She deserves a permanent home and is ready! If you would like to adopt this sweet furbaby, please complete our pre-qualification application at this link: https://bit.ly/2CCVFPV#AdoptDontShop #TBCAnimalRescue

Story
Teddy was one of three strays moving about in our neighborhood for a prolonged amount of time. A neighbor of my wife and I decided to help us capture them so they wouldn't be hit on the busy highway road running through town. The other two dogs were homed but we kept Teddy. We are a multi-dog household. For years this has not been an issue but recently Teddy and one of other dogs, Wesker, have been challenging and fixating on one another. They must now be kept separate at all times. Teddy and our others never have any issues and they regularly play and cohabitate with no issues. Teddy likes to be rather independent but still enjoys social time with his human and running with our other dogs. He definitely likes to relax but is always happy to accept attention from his owner! I think Teddy would benefit from having an owner that likes an independent dog that is content to take it easy most of the time but also occasionally wants to run, jump, and play :)

Story
Ben was born in a high kill shelter on 2/3/2021. He was a day old when we brought him home along with his 10 siblings and his mother. All that remains is Ben and his mom Lily. They have been waiting patiently. But now it is thThis is Ben and he has been with Chloe’s Pet Rescue since he was a newborn. He is now going on three years old. We aren’t sure why he hasn’t found his “furever” home. He’s such a handsome guy. We believe he is an Akita/American Pit Bull mix. Ben is very friendly when meeting new people (after a few sniffs and he’s good to go) and is good with other dogs. In fact, if it looks like another dog wants to get into a tiff, he walks away. Ben is energetic and loves to go outdoors. He’s great walking on a leash, knows come here, stop, breakfast and dinner and is crate and house trained. One of his favorite things to play with is a ball. Something he does not like is rain and thunder. Don’t go out and buy a new bed for this guy because he will chew it up, just throw a blanket down and he is very content. Ben’s adoption fee is $25, which includes his full vetting.

Story
DOB - Feb. 10, 2020 Reason for rehoming: My son (owner) moved to Africa. I cannot keep him due to my lease. If he cannot be rehomed, he will have to go to a shelter. The local Akita rescue is not accepting any new dogs. Alpha is a sweet and devoted American Akita looking for a forever home where he can thrive. He is incredibly loyal, affectionate, and naturally protective of his family—once he bonds with you, he is your shadow and your biggest fan. Alpha does have environmental allergies, so he’ll need an adopter who can continue his care and keep him comfortable. He cannot be boarded, so he needs a family who can provide in-home care or trusted at-home pet sitting when traveling. He loves being near his people, enjoys calm environments, and does best with someone who understands large guardian breeds. Alpha will make an amazing companion for the right person or family—someone who values loyalty, connection, and a dog who truly loves his humans.

Story
My pet's name is Waylon. He is about a year and a half old when he was a puppy, I rescued him from the side of the road. Unfortunately, I cannot keep him anymore. Due to family and housing issues he's great with female dogs but, here recently he, has not been getting along with male dogs. I think that is due to testosterone. I have an appointment scheduled for him on 01/08/2026 with the deposit already paid for to get neutered. He's a really good dog. He just needs a really good home to go to all that. I hope for is for him to go to a good home. And I would like to be able to see him and or updates on him. As for relocation fees, I don't want any money for him. He's family to me. I can't put a price tag on family Instead, I would rather help a family get what y'all need and what he needs for him.

Story
Meet Bella Bella is a beautiful 3-year-old Husky mix weighing around 53 pounds who is ready for a fresh start after being surrendered when her family moved to a home that did not allow pets. While the change has been difficult, Bella is a gentle soul who is slowly gaining confidence and learning that good things are ahead. Despite her Husky roots, Bella is surprisingly calm and relaxed. She enjoys quiet companionship and would be perfectly happy simply being by your side. She is fully house-trained and does not have accidents in the home. Bella is crate trained. Bella does decently with other dogs and would do well with respectful children who understand how to give her space when she needs it. She is not compatible with cats. She will benefit from continued leash training and a patient family who will allow her to build confidence at her own pace through consistency, kindness, and routine. Bella is crate trained and has exceptional manners. Bella's adoption fee is $125. She is spayed, microchipped, and current on her rabies vaccination, DAPPV, and Bordetella. Bella did test heartworm positive, but thanks to Rockwall PAWS, her heartworm treatment is fully sponsored and can begin right away. Our staff is happy to answer any questions about heartworms or Bella's treatment plan. If you're looking for a calm, loyal companion who just needs a little time and love to truly shine, Bella could be the perfect match. Story
Hi there! My name is Penny, and I'm a 1 year old Shepherd/Husky mix weighing around 33 lbs. I was surrendered to the Rockwall Adoption Center when my previous family had too many animals, but now I'm ready to find my own forever home where I can shine! I'm a friendly, affectionate girl who's done great with other dogs and children. I haven't met any cats yet, so that would be a new experience for me but I'm always eager to learn! My adoption fee is $125. I am spayed, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, core boosters, and heartworm negative! If you're interested in making me part of your family, please submit an adoption application here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/. Once approved, RAC staff will reach out to coordinate a meet and greet. Could you be the one to give me the forever home I've been waiting for?  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
