Story
Meet Alpha! He is a 6 yr old Male, AKC Registered Akita mix that weighs 108lbs. He came in as an owner surrender on 7/21 as his owners could no longer care for him. He is an extremely handsome boy that walks ok on a leash, as he can pull a bit. I did not have the right toys nor treats he had interest in, yet I`m sure with time he will find them. He enjoyed investigating the play yard, taking in all the sights and sounds. He does know the sit and down commands. He does appear to have possibly hip dysplasia or another type of issue related to his legs that a vet can diagnose further. He doesn`t mind being petted but his focus was more on his surroundings. He did not show any interest in the other dogs that were barking at him. We do always ask if there is another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. With his breed it is important to keep his grooming up to date so he can remain comfortable. Having his own loving family, playing in a secured yard then definitely come back inside where it is nice and cool is what this wonderful boy deserves. Can you offer him the caring family he deserves? Come spend time with Alpha.

Story
Meet Nelly   Nelly is a beautiful 5 year old Akita mix with a gentle heart and an easygoing personality. She isn't the type who needs constant entertainment. She's perfectly happy relaxing on her own, but the moment you sit down to give her attention, she's all in for affection and love.   She is housebroken, non-destructive, and gets along well with other dogs. Whether she's sharing a home with canine friends or soaking up the peace and quiet as your one and only, Nelly is simply happy to be part of the family.   Nelly's story is a heartbreaking one. She was abandoned when the family she loved moved away, leaving her behind to fend for herself. Despite that betrayal, she has remained sweet, trusting, and full of love to give. Now all she wants is a family who will never leave her again.   If you're looking for a loyal, calm companion who will happily spend her days by your side, Nelly is ready to start her next chapter with you.   Adoption application: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/13102/generic ##2777382##

Story
We are looking to find Willow a good and loving home. We acquired Willow from a breeder in Oregon when she was a puppy. Her birthday is October 31st, so she is 1 year and 9 months old. She is fully potty trained and knows the commands sit, stay, down. She loves to jump up on you and we have tried to break her of that habit but have not had any luck. She loves to play tug of war with any of her rope toys. She loves to go on walks. She sleeps in a crate with a bed inside. She seems to be very alpha when she has been around other dogs and sometimes a little aggressive. Willow can get possessive and aggressive if she gets something she is not supposed to have, like a sock or trash. She has actually snapped at one of us and then just recently she bit our daughter's hand when she tried to get some trash from her. She really is a sweet dog but we have not been able to train that aggression out of her. We are hoping to find the right fit for her.

Story
Hunter is a calm and gentle guy who tends to keep to himself and seems to prefer a more relaxed environment. From our volunteer observations, he appears nervous at times but accepts gentle greetings from other dogs while maintaining his own space. Hunter would likely do well in a quieter home where he can continue to build confidence at his own pace. Contact us about Hunter today!

Story
Hi, I'm Luk! I'm a a 55 lb beautiful good girl who is the perfect mix of playful and calm — I love a good walk and exploring all the outdoor smells (squirrels and bunnies get me *very* excited, though I promise it's all in good fun). But I'm just as happy curled up quietly beside you while you read, work, or relax. **A little about me:** - I'm smart and love a good challenge — puzzle toys, training games, bring it on - Treats are my love language, and I could get belly rubs forever - I'm not a fan of the heat — after a walk, I'm ready for A/C and a cool floor over cozy carpet any day - I'm house trained - I'm still working on being left alone, but I've made huge progress and I know I'll settle in once I have a consistent home **With others:** I seem to love other dogs and people — I get excited to say hi when we pass dogs on our walks! I haven't met a cat yet, so we'll see. I really miss having a buddy around, so I think I'd do best with another animal companion to keep me secure, entertained, and less anxious. **My ideal home:** I'd love a family with a yard, plenty of people around to love on me, and maybe a furry sibling for company. I do best with minimal time home alone — someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule would be perfect. With consistent exercise and mental stimulation, I know I'll thrive. I promise to bring so much love and joy into your life. I look at you with the gentlest eyes, and honestly, I just want to be near you. Come meet me? Interested in adding Luk to your pack?
