Gwen is the sweetest little wiggle butt around! She is amazing in her crate and learning all about leash life. She gets along well with other dogs and is a bit weary of kitties so far. She needs some work on potty training but is smart so should pick up quick. She would make a great addition to any family and has a lot of love and joy to give! ##2008442##

Story
Hi, I’m Hippity! My beloved foster humans call me Hippie or Hipp for short ☮️ I'm a true Bully Mix, mostly Bull Dog & some Pit Bull===100% LOVE!💜 Just a couple weeks ago, I was found wandering Clovis, NM alleys with a little friend 🐕 I made on the streets. When Animal Control picked me up, I was confused and so scared. I tried to make myself look small in the corner of my cell, maybe if no-one noticed me I would be safe🥺 Gosh was I wrong! I heard I was “next” on the list, and that must’ve meant next to get the heck out of that scary place! My foster mommy drove straight down from Denver to break me out. She says I have come so far these last couple weeks 🌟 I have not had one accident in the house ✨ if I have to go potty, I will certainly let you know! I also don’t mind being in my crate, especially when my humans are running errands. But when they are home, I just want to be with them.❤️ I’m pretty sure I’ve had one of these things called a family before, but I’m not sure what happened to them… I have been learning about this big world, and realizing I really enjoy car rides with my foster daddy, taking walks around the neighborhood (I’m pretty dang good on a leash too!), and giving you my paw 💅 I don’t bother my kitty siblings, and I like playing with my foster doggy bro Chewie🐾 I live with 4 other canine pals and after I had time to feel safe, we are basically Homies now😁 When my foster parents have their Homies over, I like to get in a couple sniffs and some treats first, then we are all friends 🥰 Ever since I’ve been a puppy, the only thing I have ever wanted was a forever family of my own. I’ve been told my Bulldog smile is so charming it might get me one… Hip is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots. His adoption fee is $200🐾 Please submit an adoption application if interested in meeting this handsome sweetheart! https://dooverdogs.com/multi-step-adoption-form-1

Story
"If you need a four-legged security guard, I'm your man!!" Baylard is a fearless and confident dog with so much love and affection to give. He would love to spend his nights just snuggled up with his people while getting belly rubs and giving kisses. This ultra-protective boy will greet your friends with a smile and wagging tail, while keeping strangers and uninvited folks at bay. Although he can be frightful around other four-legged critters, he is sure to keep you entertained and loved. This devoted and confident boy would do best in a home with a yard so he has plenty of place to explore and ensure that all perimeters are secure! He loves making sure his family is safe. Baylard also loves having the opportunity to sunbathe, so a yard is most suitable for him. Please fill out an application to meet this wonderful and constant companion!

This is Dozer! He is a big ball of goofiness and love. He is looking for his forever home and he would love it to be you. He is an extremely sweet dog who's pretty lazy and easygoing at home. He needs to be the only dog in the home. Unfortunately, Dozer was attacked by another dog, breaking his leg. It required surgery and he's been healing very well! Because of the attack though, Dozer would be more comfortable being the only dog around. He's happy to give all of his love to his people and spend his days being a couch potato with his favorite folks. Please apply to adopt Dozer today!

Story
Meet Hobie! 🌟 A Story of Triumph and Resilience 🌟 Hobie's journey to Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue was one of incredible resilience and transformation. He emerged from a harrowing situation, where he was one of 60 dogs in a hoarding situation, where they were left to fend for themselves, breeding, and even fighting. Despite the hardships he endured, Hobie's spirit remained unbroken. 💔 From Shut Down to Opening Up 💖 When Hobie first arrived at the rescue, his spirit had been dimmed by his past. He was initially so shut down that he had to be carried everywhere, and he couldn't bring himself to make eye contact with anyone. It was clear that he had experienced more than his fair share of hardships. 🧡 A Heart of Gold 🧡 What sets Hobie apart is his incredible resilience and innate kindness. Despite the challenges he faced, he never displayed any signs of aggression. His gentle nature and forgiving spirit have been a source of inspiration to all who have had the privilege of caring for him. 🐶 Finding Comfort in Canine Companionship 🐶 Hobie's transformation truly began to take shape when he found solace in the company of another dog in his foster home. Their companionship has been nothing short of remarkable. Hobie is learning to trust, and his newfound canine friend has played a significant role in helping him come out of his shell. 🏡 Looking for a Forever Home 🏡 Hobie is now on the path to healing, and he's ready to find a forever home where he can continue his journey of recovery and growth. He's looking for a patient and loving family who can provide him with the safe and nurturing environment he deserves. 🐾 Join Hobie on His Journey 🐾 If you're someone who believes in second chances and has the heart and compassion to offer Hobie the love and support he needs, he will reward you with a lifetime of loyalty and gratitude. Together, you can help this resilient soul continue his remarkable journey from hardship to happiness. Hobie's story is a testament to the resilience of dogs and the power of love to heal even the deepest wounds. Will you be the one to give Hobie the forever home he so deserves? Come meet him at Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue and be part of his incredible transformation.

Story
Meet Zoey! She is ready for her furever home! Zoey has been in boarding for way too long, and really deserves a home! Zoey is about 5 years old and 70 pounds. She was rescued from rural South Texas and is looking for her fresh start. She is SUCH a sweet girl who loves her people! Zoey is a huge cuddle bug and always ready to play! She is also very intelligent and is even completely potty-trained. Since Zoey is a big energetic girl, she needs an active Colorado lifestyle. She would love to be taken on daily walks, hikes, and runs! She loves to play, so she does NEED a home with a fenced yard. Zoey is super affectionate and sweet, and would do best with older children and adults. She does like to be the center of attention, so she CAN NOT go to a home with other dogs or cats. What she is really looking for is someone who will love her unconditionally! Zoey is completely vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $100. ##1480116##

Story
Kora is an absolute love bug that completely enjoys being by your side and giving snuggles. She is a big goofball that loves toys, treats and of course food. She is a spayed 6yrs old and current on shots. She needs to be in a 1 dog household. She is super super sweet and will give lots of love and affection. She is reactive towards other animals especially other dogs. She absolutely needs to be in a home where she is the only animal. She has to be inside most of the time and walked with lots of training and caution. She is a wonderful dog that needs a new home with someone who has time to spend working with her. I live in an RV and it’s just not working after months of trying. Please help I want the very best for her and unfortunately I can’t give her that. Thank you!

Story
Maddie, cane corso, spayed female, 4 yoMaddie is so adorable, comical and lots of love. Only Maddie can bark at the picture of a dog on a dog food bag. With time gets deeply attached and you can have almost human connection with her. Maddie was abandoned in a trailer with no heat, food or water, her puppies taken to be sold. We can only imagine the despair she must have felt. When she got to the rescue, she was skin and bones. But she was still giving kisses and wagging her tail when we got her at the rescue. Now Maddie is healthy, playful and energetic. Bonded with the boxer Odie, but apprehensive with the new dogs. Good with calm friendly dogs she knows.   Needs a yard with 6' fence. Adoption fee $325. If adopted with Odie, the fee will be reduced for both. If interested, please submit an adoption or foster application at https://www.sanNicolaDogRescue.comApril 22, 2024, 2:44 pm
