Story
Meet Tula, aka Tula Jane! Tula was rescued off the streets as a tiny puppy nearly one year ago and has been well loved and cared for ever since . She is perfectly house trained and is socialized but always cautious with new comers, having spent a lot of time around different people and dogs . She loves to be near her family and gets especially enthusiastic about riding in the car if she is told she is going to see the vet (not kidding) or going to daycare!  Her DNA profile revealed she is a mix of a few different breeds: American bulldog, German shepherd, American pit bull terrier, miniature Australian shepherd, and American staffordshire terrier. She is a very smart girl, quite a beauty and has a smile bigger than the state of Oklahoma where she currently resides!  She knows commands "sit" and "down" and "spin" so far and can certainly learn more! She has lots of energy and LOVES to play with all of her toys. An ideal day in Tula’s eyes would include lots of time outside with her family. She loves to play and has a passion for gathering sticks while out on walks and has fun playing by the creek. When home she will either snuggle on the couch, put her head by yours to remind you she is there if you are watching TV and is known to shadow her people throughout the house. When it is time to rest, she is happy to nap with her own blanket. She is a very well behaved dog, is spayed and up to date on her vaccines and is a health nut, loving to snack on veggies; carrots are her current favorite! Would you be interested in giving Tula the forever home that she is so deserving of and in need of at this time? Please contact Chris if you have any questions or need more information. We are happy to bring Tula Jane to you if you are her perfect forever home!   (713) 480 8473 clzenner1@gmail.com      This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Blaze is not just adorable but also incredibly smart, with a knack for learning commands like sit, paw, and downâ&#194&#128&#194&#148especially when there are treats involved! While he might need a bit of help with his leash manners, his enthusiasm for exploring new scents is boundless. His dog walking pals rave about his good manners, dubbing him a `very good dog.` Plus, he has a soft spot for stuffed toys! Blaze would thrive in a home without small animals or livestock and would benefit from meeting any resident dogs before adoption. Given his high energy, he'd be happiest in a home with older kids who can match his spirited nature. Virtual training sessions are also included in his adoption! Story
Cutie pie alert!! Cadillac is a special guy that loves humans and loves to play! He will be your best hiking buddy or running buddy. Cadillac is 11 months old and weighs 60 pounds. We think he’s a mix of American Bulldog or pittie and coon hound. We’ve sent in a Wisdom Panel to find out what breeds he really is, but he’s definitely a Heinz 57. He has a tilt to his head and spins in circles occasionally that makes him that much cuter! The shelter suspects that he was kicked or hit in the head when he was very young. He loves going for walks and is great on a leash, but will need some training to help with his confidence. He gets scared when other dogs or humans walk by, but he’s not aggressive. He tries to hide. He will require a fenced yard to expend his puppy energy. He gets along with all sizes of dogs and would love to have a dog his size to play with, but it’s not required. Due to his size, puppy energy and that he’s pretty clumsy, kids 12 and up would be best. He has a pretty good prey drive, so cats are not recommended in his new home. He is crate trained and potty trained. He is neutered, utd on vaccines, HW-, and chipped. If interested in meeting Cadillac and giving him a forever home, you can complete our application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms as the first step. We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Cadillac’s adoption fee is $325.00 and we are not doing any out of state adoptions.  April 25, 2024, 8:31 am

Meet Zoey! She is ready for her furever home! Zoey has been in boarding for way too long, and really deserves a home! Zoey is about 5 years old and 70 pounds. She was rescued from rural South Texas and is looking for her fresh start. She is SUCH a sweet girl who loves her people! Zoey is a huge cuddle bug and always ready to play! She is also very intelligent and is even completely potty-trained. Since Zoey is a big energetic girl, she needs an active Colorado lifestyle. She would love to be taken on daily walks, hikes, and runs! She loves to play, so she does NEED a home with a fenced yard. Zoey is super affectionate and sweet, and would do best with older children and adults. She does like to be the center of attention, so she CAN NOT go to a home with other dogs or cats. What she is really looking for is someone who will love her unconditionally! Zoey is completely vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $100. ##1480116##

Story
This handsome guy is Gotti! Gotti and his sister, Sparkles, were surrendered to be put down at a high kill shelter in San Antonio, Texas when their mom and dad got a divorce and no longer had time for them. After living from puppyhood with their family, they found themselves in the euthanasia room. Gotti and his sister have had no interest due to being senior bully breed dogs, but they deserve nothing less than forever homes to live their golden years in! Gotti is about 10 years old and 63 pounds. His short coat comes from his American Bulldog breed. He is the big brother who loves treats and being the center of attention and adventure! Gotti clearly does not realize that he is an older guy, he has such a young and playful spirit. He LOVES to run around and play with his sister. Gotti is so excited to have a family who will take him on lots of adventures, walks, runs, and hikes. His dream would be to have a backyard of his own to romp around and play fetch in! Gotti does great with his sister, but he has not been tested around many other dogs or cats. A proper meet and greet and foster trial would be necessary if there is another dog in his new home. He most likely would do best with only bigger dogs and without cats since he is a big guy who doesn’t always realize his size. Gotti does great with all people and is such a sweet and loving dog! Who could say no to that handsome smile?! Gotti can be adopted with his sister or separately. He is completely vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $100. If he is adopted with Sparkles, their combined fee is $150.  ##1483289##

Shelter Visiting Hours are 12 pm to 4 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event:https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##1738422##

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Percolating with puppy-like pep, 4.5-year-old Pete is over the moon in his foster home! The 41-pound brindle beauty, so sweet and so social, loves snuggling with his foster mom, “smushing” his face into hers, resting his head on her and rolling over for belly rubs. Not to mention splaying out on his back when he’s truly relaxed. His foster mom also refers to him as a “canine security blanket” because he puts all of his weight against you when snuggling. Agile and athletic, he also loves playing with other dogs of similar size, and has learned, over time, to read their cues and respect their boundaries. Passionate about chasing his squeaky Kong toy during the games of fetch he enjoys in the backyard, he also enjoys going for long daily walks, walking well on his leash, and should his attention wander, he’s easily distracted with treats. Having his cherry eyes fixed recently, Pete’s in a cone and learned to use it as a scoop to throw snow in the air! Motivated by food, toys and love, Pete is eager to please and easy to teach, comes when called, and currently knows “sit” and “no.” While he eats and sleeps in his crate, he freely roams the house when his foster mom is out and greets her excitedly whenever she comes home. Almost fully house-trained and at work on his manners, Pete will thrive in an adoptive home, preferably with another playful pup and older children, that will perfect his manners, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him both active and adored fur-ever.  See additional photos and videos of Pete here.   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $375.  Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
