Story
I'm at our Oglethorpe Street shelter! If you want to adopt me, come to 71 Oglethorpe St. NW between 12-7 pm Tuesday-Sunday or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.Well, the panda's may have left town, but we think Lenny is a pretty good substitute with his silly facial markings! And he is even more fun than those big bears. He is full of beans, and he has a real zest for life. Lenny is pretty comical too. He was lost and just jumped into someone's car- almost asking for help. Lenny is now ready for a super active family that can keep up with his frisky, busy agenda. He is ready for lots of activities, and he will need folks that want to get up and go with this funster. Lovable Lenny is ready for a great life so please meet him soon!Check out Lenny's video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a3_SLpFx4yQHead to this link to see how we've been responding to Canine Influenza in shelter and working to keep it from spreading in the community!https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/blog/posts/what-you-need-to-know-about-canine-influenza

I'm at our Oglethorpe Street shelter! If you want to adopt me, come to 71 Oglethorpe St. NW between 12-7 pm Tuesday-Sunday or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.Prince is tired of being treated like the court jester! He's a regal boy who has been de-throned and he's sad. He is such a great fellow. He can give the most pleading puppy dog eyes that no one can resist. Prince had a home, but the owners did not have the means to care for him anymore. He's doing his best to cope with this big change, but we told him that change can be good so now he's looking for a new castle to call his own. He is very sweet, mellow, and gentle. It was reported that he's done well with other dogs too. Now Prince would love a devoted family that will let him be a true member of the family. He would love to have soft beds, good meals, a steady schedule which includes lots of fun walks. Prince is a big boy- 76 pounds! - so make room on your couch and in your heart for a sweet, royal and loyal pup.Check out Prince's video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VohB8oM2pxMHead to this link to see how we've been responding to Canine Influenza in shelter and working to keep it from spreading in the community!https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/blog/posts/what-you-need-to-know-about-canine-influenza

This young guy didn't have the best start in life, but he never lets that get him down. In fact, he's super friendly and loves everyone he meets! He's a very smart boy too - Not only will he show you the best "sit" ever, but he also even knows "paw!" This poor guy came to the shelter way too skinny, but all the staff have been giving him lots of yummy treats, and he's been getting stronger every day. Please come say hi to this wonderful, wiggly boy!Check out Van Gogh's video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ha8Vp7hDCggHead to this link to see how we've been responding to Canine Influenza in shelter and working to keep it from spreading in the community!https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/blog/posts/what-you-need-to-know-about-canine-influenza

I'm at our Oglethorpe Street shelter! If you want to adopt me, come to 71 Oglethorpe St. NW between 12-7 pm Tuesday-Sunday or visit humanerescuealliance.org/how-to-adopt to learn more.Professor Snape is ready to go to school and learn how to be the best doggie in the world! He is a super wiggly, friendly fellow with such a joyful attitude. And he is soooo sweet! He greets everyone as if they are a long-lost friend. Professor Snape had a home, but the owner realized this very good boy needed more exercise and playtime. So now Professor Snape is seeking a fun, frisky family that can take him for long, energy burning walks. He would also LOVE lots of playtime with his family. Going to positive training classes are something he would love to do as well. So, who is ready to get their learning on and have fun with a great doggie? Professor Snape is hoping it's you!Head to this link to see how we've been responding to Canine Influenza in shelter and working to keep it from spreading in the community!https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/blog/posts/what-you-need-to-know-about-canine-influenza

I'm in a FOSTER HOME! If you want to meet me, you can start the process by completing emailing my foster pawrent, Sheila at sheilaguzman@gmail.comHello, Allan here! I look a little like Allan in the Barbie movie (i.e., handsome), so I assume this is how I earned my name. Now, I am no Ken, and a bit more shy and less outgoing, but I will say that I have great potential! Life started out a bit rough for me and I came from a place that did not feel very safe. So, right now I am learning to trust people and the world again. Luckily, the people here at the shelter know how to help dogs like me. They have been very patiently showing me that I am safe and that they care about me (they bring yummy things like cheese and hot dogs to drive the point home which is something I highly recommend we continue when I go home with you). So, I have started to come out of my shell and show my true, very sweet and gentle character. In fact, I've recently become a Volunteer Favorite and they shared, "Allan is my new LOVE MUFFIN!! He's a shy one at first, but once he feels he can trust you, he is all cuddles!" We don't have to make a Barbie movie together, but a happy life where we go on walks, have tasty food and treats and then snuggle up to watch a (any!) movie would be my dream for us.Check out Allan's video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HGbbzUyKx8Head to this link to see how we've been responding to Canine Influenza in shelter and working to keep it from spreading in the community!https://www.humanerescuealliance.org/blog/posts/what-you-need-to-know-about-canine-influenzaThink your home would be perfect for Allan? Story
I'm in a FOSTER HOME! If you want to meet me, you can start the process by emailing my foster parent at friend2mutts@gmail.com to set up a time to virtually meet me!"Cain is a big marshmallow who will just melt next to you for cuddles, scratches and belly rubs. He is a professional nester and takes care in arranging his dog beds just right for nap time. This sweet guy also enjoys walks, romps in the backyard, and puzzle toys. His favorite toy is the big kong that he pushes around to spill out the treats. He likes to chase a tennis ball but isn't into bringing it back.  Mostly he wants to be near you.He knows "sit" and is learning other manners. Mostly he doesn't pull on the leash, but will try to chase squirrels or bunnies and he gets a little too excited when he sees other dogs. We are working on this and he is getting better about calming down when there are other dogs around, especially with the help of yummy treats. He has not been possessive with his toys or food.   Cain can be nervous when meeting new people. With a slow introduction, he will end up in the new person's lap. He can be anxious when he is alone. Toys to keep him busy help a lot. A stable home and family is what will help Cain most."To learn more about Cain or to schedule a virtual meet and greet with her, contact her foster parents at friend2mutts@gmail.com.Check out Cain's video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee9qkjqpAkA
