With her regal looks and soulful eyes, she turns heads wherever she goes—but it’s her heart that really makes her shine.   Bimbi has known what it means to be let down, having spent much of her life confined to a crate. Despite this, she got along well with the small dogs in her previous home and remained the friendly, affectionate girl she was born to be. Sadly, when her family fell on hard times, Bimbi was surrendered, and now she’s waiting for her true forever home.   She absolutely loves meeting new people and soaks up attention like sunshine. She adores hugs, belly rubs, kisses, and gentle brushing with a soft brush—she’ll even close her eyes in bliss. Her favorite spot? Anywhere you are.   While Bimbi might not know a ton of commands just yet, she’s eager to learn and food-motivated (she mastered “sit” in record time with a few treats!). She enjoys playing with toys and balls—fetch is a favorite, even if she doesn’t always return the ball right away. Treat-based games are another great way to bond with her and keep her busy.   She’s a big fan of cozy dog beds and fluffy blankets, though when bored, she may chew on them a bit—so she’ll thrive with love, structure, and plenty of companionship. Her happiest moments? Going for car rides with her people. Hunter is a gentle 60-pound Pitbull mix with a heart of gold. This strong boy, about a year old, was found running loose on the back roads of Tennessee, but despite his tough start, he's in great shape with a silky black coat. While no one has come forward to claim him, Hunter is patiently waiting for a loving family to call his own! Hunter enjoys his daily walks and is working on not pulling on the leash. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 He’s curious, playful, and loves other dogs! He’s been sharing a pen with a Boxer, though we feed him separately to avoid any food aggression. Hunter does the cutest little dance when it’s time for his meals or walks—it’s sure to put a smile on your face! While he hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, Hunter did have a run-in with a neighbor’s chicken , so he might be best suited to a home without small livestock. Petunia is 100% love. She loves to cuddle or lay in the yard and watch for squirrels. She loves plush toys. Very affection driven. Goofy and sweet. She doesn’t realize her size. She would do great as an only pet. Petunia is 8.5 years old, and about 90 pounds. We adopted her in 2017. We have another dog, he is 2 years older than Petunia. Since we’ve adopted her we’ve moved into a smaller home and now have a baby. She needs more attention and space than we can give her.

Ruthie is a 2-year-old, 60-lb Boxer mix with a gentle soul and a brilliant mind. Before coming into rescue, Ruthie lived on her own for at least 6 months, skillfully evading capture, multiple trapping attempts, and surviving in an industrial area of town. Fed by kind mechanics and workers, she learned how to stay safe, avoid danger, and always show up for food — and that intelligence still shines through today. After a dramatic capture, Ruthie has been in a foster home, where she’s proven to be a very polite houseguest. She is fully house-trained and, even at her scariest moments, has never shown a hint of aggression — no growling, no raised lips, just fear. Ruthie is shy and deeply cautious with people, but she is sweet, gentle, and incredibly observant. We would not be surprised if Ruthie spent some of her life in someone’s home.  This brainy girl reads the room like a pro. She knows when a human might approach and will quietly skedaddle to keep herself feeling safe. While she’s still very nervous about leashes and handling, she allows most people to gently scratch her muzzle, and she’s learning — slowly but surely — that human touch isn’t such a bad thing. Watching her progress has been incredibly rewarding, especially as she’s started to enjoy ear scratches and soft affection from her foster mom. Ruthie is a great pack dog. She does beautifully with dogs of all sizes and temperaments and enjoys playful wrestling with dogs her size, but doesn’t demand play.  She happily coexists with the resident Chihuahua in her foster home. Ruthie is calm and content indoors and also enjoys a daily visit to the dog park. She’s a quiet presence who’s perfectly happy lounging on a chair, listening to her foster mom’s Zoom calls, and soaking in the safety of home life. At home, Ruthie is her foster mom’s quiet shadow. She sleeps in her room, wiggles with excitement when she comes home, follows her around the dog park — and yet may still hop off her bed and slip away if that same foster mom walks toward her for a pet. With Ruthie, trust is built in tiny, meaningful moments, and every day brings progress. Because of her history, Ruthie is a high flight-risk dog, especially in the early days. She will need a very committed adopter with a securely fenced yard, experience with fearful or flight-risk dogs, and a willingness to use safety tools like GPS collars, double leashes, and secure handling. Strength matters too — this is a 60-lb girl who needs someone confident and prepared. Ruthie has been around children at the dog park and treats them like little adults — with polite, reserved hesitation. She is food-motivated, sweet, and incredibly smart. With patience, structure, and time, she has all the makings of a truly special companion. Ruthie is one of those dogs who, with the right adopter and a few committed months of trust-building, will become a dream dog.
