Story
Pit Bull Terrier 3 years old Male 50 pounds Kids · 10+ Dogs · Dog tolerant Cats · No What My Friends Say About Me: I’m a high-energy pup who loves staying active! Whether it’s running, hiking, or playing fetch, I’m always up for an adventure by your side. I thrive on human connection and would love to be your constant companion. Let’s explore the great outdoors together! My tail wags like crazy when I’m excited, which is pretty much all the time when I’m with you! The Type of Home I’m Looking For: I prefer to be the only dog in the house. I’m not always the best at playing with other pups and I don’t like cats, so a solo spot in your heart would make me happiest! I would be great with children over 10! I’m eager to learn and thrive on positive reinforcement training! I know a few basic commands already and with your guidance and some tasty treats, I can master lots of new tricks and behaviors. I can’t wait to show you what I can do! My adoption fee is $240 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Story
American Staffordshire Terrier 7 years old Female 60 pounds Kids · 6+ Dogs · Dog selective Cats · No Do you think I have “the look”? You know, so that I might set the canine modeling world on fire! I am also looking into design; my love line of fashion comes pret-a-porter, and I think it will look fabulous on you! Nothing beats a cozy sweater if you ask me. I do need an agent to help me get discovered—is that something that would interest you? You have seen enough episodes of America’s Next Top Model to give me some pointers, right? I’m on the search for only the best home, and it must come equipped with lots of snuggles. I am well on my way to becoming a doggy supermodel—I prefer to be the only dog and if I am going to be around other pups I do need very well managed, very slow intros. I absolutely adore calm children who know how to treat me with respect, but kitty cats best get out of my shot! You can even put a spotlight on my crate training, housebreaking, and obedience skills, and you’ll see that they are flawless. With your help and commitment, I know I can rise to icon status! Then won’t you feel pretty cool having an internationally published pup on the end of your leash? Let’s work to make both our dreams come true! My adoption fee is $180 and includes spay, microchip & registration, 1 month pet health insurance for Oregon residents, reduced-cost training class, free vet exam, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Story
Meet Tyson – aka Snugglebug! Looking for a pup who’s equal parts cuddle buddy and playmate? Tyson’s your guy! This 3-year-old, 30 lb sweetheart is all about snuggles, treats, and soaking up every bit of attention. He’s great with other dogs, loves people, and will happily claim your lap as his favorite spot. His hugs are the best but maybe a little slobbery at times!   Tyson’s got awesome house manners (fully housebroken-after the 1st day correction ) He’s still learning not to jump when he’s excited and could use a little leash practice, but honestly, you will have trouble not smiling at this cutie.   If you’re ready for endless love, wagging tails, and the best snuggle sessions ever, Tyson is it! Ready to meet this snugglebug? He's ready to meet you!  Underdogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Adoption fee is $380. He is being fostered in North Portland. You MUST have an Underdogs Rock Rescue application on file to request a meet with an Underdog. An online Underdogs Rock adoption application can only be accessed at  https://underdogsrock.org/adopt-a-dog  . You must be available to meet an Underdog in their foster's location and dogs are not held for applicants or shipped outside of the Portland metro area. Home checks are also part of the process and will be conducted virtually. For updates on all the Underdogs be sure to follow the Underdogs Rock Rescue Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UnderdogsRockRescueDecember 22, 2025, 7:06 pm

Story
Meet Ernie ******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you area not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Ernie, formerly Max, is a neutered, 8 year old male Pittie/Cattle Dog mix, currently weighing around 63lbs. He is in a foster home in Houston, TX, and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is found. Ernie was found by his foster mom running down a busy street in rush hour traffic. She saw him almost get hit and literally took off her heels to run over and get him in the car. It was obvious by the way he jumped right in and his good health, that he was previously owned. Unfortunately, despite being microchipped, the owner didn’t want him back. We have gathered that Ernie is about 8 years old and was initially adopted from a county shelter back 2020. He was clearly loved at one time as he was HW- and never met a stranger. We will never know why his owner never came for him, but Ernie is a true gem of a dog and we can’t wait to see him find his true forever home. This handsome pup is a goofy older gentleman! He is very chill but also gets excited for a walk or play date. He’s done great with every human and animal he’s met, and just wants to be wherever you are. Ernie gets excited when he sees other dogs, wagging his tail and hoping you let him say hi! He’s a gentle play mate, just wanting to be included in the group and will go with the flow. He’s been great with dogs half his size, and lets his foster sibling, a little Aussie, boss him around. The dog sitter has a cat that he hasn’t formally met, but has seen from across the way. He seems interested in the cat, but not in an aggressive way. We think he would be fine with cats that don’t mind him wanting to say hi. Ernie hasn’t been around kids but is extremely gentle. His foster believes he’d enjoy a home with them as long as they are aware he is a bigger boy. Ernie is house broken and does great on a leash. He doesn’t enjoy the crate and will try to escape. Thankfully, he isn’t destructive when left unsupervised. If he knows you’re home while he’s in the crate, he will whine or howl for a few minutes, but calms down with a treat or verbal commands. He is a social guy and really enjoys time with his humans, following you room to room. His favorite spot is right next to you! His foster mom feels Ernie would be a great fit anywhere. He’d do well with kids, with or without other pets in the house, an older couple, or even a first time dog owner. He may be a senior, but Ernie has a lot of love left to give and just wants to be part of his very own pack! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him?
