Meet Dixie! This sweet girl is the ultimate cuddle bug—she hasn’t read the book on personal space (and never plans to). Whether you’re sitting, napping, or just trying to drink your coffee, Dixie believes every moment is a snuggle moment. She is still learning how to be the best dog she can be and will need a loving family who can teach her with patience and treats! If you’re looking for a weighted blanket with legs, that has a heart as big as her smile, Dixie is your girl!If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Meet Halle Girl! 🌺💖This sweet pit bull mix came to us all the way from Maui, and she’s ready to start her new chapter on the mainland! Halle Girl recently had surgery on her right second mammary and is healing up wonderfully. Before that, she was a devoted mama who raised her puppies with so much love — now it’s her turn to be cared for and adored. The shelter can feel a little overwhelming for her (all that barking isn’t exactly island vibes!), but once she’s out of the chaos, her gentle, loving nature shines. She’s a total cuddlebug who wants nothing more than to be close to her person, soaking up every bit of affection. With a little patience and kindness, Halle Girl will quickly become your shadow and your best friend. She’s ready to leave her mama days behind and start her own happily-ever-after!If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion with a heart as warm as the Hawaiian sun, Halle Girl is your girl. 🌸🐾If you are interested in meeting Halle Girl, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Story
Hi, I’m Ghost!I’m a pit bull–Dalmatian mix, which basically means I’m a marshmallow with feelings. I’m sweet, cuddly, and an expert at tiptoeing into your heart… but I like to take my time. First, I need to make sure you’re not secretly a vacuum cleaner in disguise. (Those things are untrustworthy.)My vibe:At first, I’m a little shy — like “I’ll watch you from across the room and blink politely” shy. But once I decide you’re safe? BOOM. I transform into a blanket-loving cuddle bug who wants to curl up right next to you (or on you, depending on the couch situation).Ideal home:I may be past my puppy days, but I still need regular walks and exercise. I'm looking for someone gentle, kind, and willing to give me a little time to warm up. I promise I’m worth the wait — once I love you, I LOVE you. Forever. Like, loyal-to-the-core, “you’re my person now” levels of devotion. If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive girl who blossoms into the world’s coziest cuddle partner, I’d love to meet you. Just give me a moment… okay, maybe two moments… and then I’ll be your loyal Ghost.Love, Ghost 👻🐾If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Hi, I’m Gronk!I’m a big, muscle-bound pit bull terrier mix with the heart of a marshmallow and the coordination of a baby rhino. I may look like I could bench-press a refrigerator, but honestly? I’d rather bench-press your lap. With my whole body. Immediately. My hobbies include:Being extremely handsome (I was born this way, can’t help it)Carrying around toys that are clearly too small for meWagging my tail so hard I generate a mild breezeForgetting my size and attempting to sit on people instead of next to themGiving kisses that could count as a full facial exfoliationLooking intimidating to strangers while actually being 97% puddingIdeal home:Someone who likes big dogs, cuddle therapy, and possibly installing a sturdier couch. I do best with humans who appreciate that “personal space” is more of a suggestion than a rule.If you’re searching for a loyal best friend who is equal parts goofy jock and snuggly teddy bear, I’m your guy. Come meet me! I promise to flex my muscles, give you a smile, and absolutely win your heart.Love, Gronk 🐾If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours). If you’d like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets’ profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment.
