Story
This shy boy is an absolute gem if you give him just half a day. Archie is an affectionate, attentive, gentle, funny, happy and kind older puppy. He was originally found in a field around 8 weeks old in California and was briefly adopted but then his owner suffered a terrible car accident that had Archie returned to the rescue who saved him. Now 7 months old and 46 pounds, Archie is starting again to look for a family of his own... - His littermate was DNA tested and came back as Pit Bull, German Shepherd, American Bulldog, Husky - Absolutely stunning pup with the most unique coloring and gorgeous blue eyes - Nice medium energy for a pup. Can play a lot but also settles nicely and isn't super hyper. - Archie loves other dogs and was raised with small dogs - Good with cats and was raised on a sheep farm with direct contact with the sheep so he is livestock safe - Fostered with teenagers and would likely be fine with gentle kiddos - Cuddle bug who enjoys snuggling his person - Loves to play with is toys and shares nicely with other dogs - No resource guarding or separation anxiety noted - Can be crated - Doing really well with his potty habits and will whine to let you know he needs to go - Good on car rides and no motion sickness - Walks on leash and no leash reactivity Archie would love an owner who will help build up his confidence with positive, fun experiences like walks and outings where he can observe and take in all the sights and sounds but isn't forced into highly social settings. A lot of stuff is new to Archie but with positive, gentle exposure, he's really blossoming. Archie is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee also includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin, or Portland. $200 adoption fee Fostered in Portland, Oregon APPLY TO ADOPT ARCHIE ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
Hi, everypawdy! My name is Grace. I'm a beautiful, loving soul who is looking for a family to call my own. I spent the majority of my early life in an animal testing laboratory-- did you know that dogs and cats are used for animal testing, too? Despite everything that I've been through, I'm a sweet and happy girl now that Beagle Freedom Project has rescued me. Walks, runs, and hikes are a few of my favorite hobbies. Attention and being pet are necessities as well, of course! A good cuddle at the end of a long day will fill me with joy. My foster family says I'm smart as a whip...I already know how to sit, heel, halt, and more! A good treat and some cuddles are enough to motivate to learn like a pro. I love being near my favorite humans, and playing with my favorite toys. If you want a reason to smile every single day, then I am the pup for your family. I prefer a home that has: a fenced yard, no other animals, adults-only, lots of love! My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. Story
HI - I'M JULIE! I'm about 8-9 years young and a loving girl! I've been waiting for awhile for a home - not sure why nobody wants me, because I'm super cute. I only weigh about 52 lbs and am an affectionate snuggle bug. I prefer to be the only dog in the home and prefer people to dogs so would do best with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. I'm not a fan of cats either, so no kitties for me please. I am in good athletic shape and still love to go for walks and hikes. And I love the water! I also love the fresh air and the feeling of the sunshine on my back. Could you give me a chance and foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.
