Story
Meet Bernie! She is a gorgeous 7 year old pit mix looking for her FUREVER home! She has such a love for life and a desire to give so much love to those she interacts with! We rescued Bernie after she found herself as a stray at the local shelter and was going to be euthanized. She has been spayed, is in on monthly flea/tick/HW preventative, and gets weekly baths. She is prone to lots of skin issues and as a result would do best in a home environment and not a boarding facility with a foster or owner that is very attentive. Bernie has never let this little bump in the road stop her from enjoying her newfound freedom. She loves baths, treats, chew bones and will tell you when it's time to feed her as she is extremely food motivated! Bernie is an active girl who loves to go on walks and play with any toy in sight! When it is time to relax for the day, you can find Bernie cuddled up next to her humans begging for belly rubs, or chewing on a bone. She is crate trained and does well staying by herself if kept occupied with toys, bones or kongs. She will thank you with a big smile and unwavering loyalty! She takes weekly outings in public, rides great in a car, and is doing great socializing and working on a leash. Hold on tight if you see a squirrel though! While she is highly allergic to cats and cannot be in a home with them, she loves kids and humans! She likes other dogs of all sizes but requires a slow introduction to any canine companion as she enjoys playing gregariously. All Abandoned Pet Project Rescue adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise. You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at bit.ly/APPRAdoptableDogs. For more information, you can email adopt@abandonedpetproject.org.

Story
Age: 1 1/2 Years Weight: 40 lbs Good with dogs: Yes Good with cats: Yes Good with kids: Yes Activity level: Medium Shedding: Medium Vocal level: Low Training: Crate, Leash, Potty Trained Noel found herself living around an apartment complex that was located off of a busy highway. With a lot of patience, her Good Samaritan gained her trust and helped us complete one of our quickest captures to date! Noel is now thriving in her foster home where her true personality has emerged! Noel is a young girl and still working hard on all her training. She is walking pretty well on her leash and has only had one accident the whole time she has been with her foster. She is very eager to please and learn and just needs a little redirection to help correct her. She is dog, kid, and cat friendly! Noel loves to be with her people and friends and won't let a silly thing like a baby gate keep her away! She will jump over one easily to stay by your side.  Noel loves to cuddle on the couch with her foster mom, play with her doggy foster siblings, and throw her toys around all by herself! She is already crate trained and gets the zoomies when she is let out in the morning.  Noel can be a little shy when she is meeting new people or dogs, but after a little time to warm up, she will relax and show you her sweet personality. Noel would love a home with wonderful, loving people and other pets. Would you be her perfect person? Please email placement@duckteam6.org if you are interested in adopting!March 22, 2025, 8:37 am

Story
Meet the lovable and loyal Nala. She is a 3-year-old, 45-pound, American Bully, with athletic features and very obedient behavior. My family and I got her from a breeder a little over 3 years ago, right here in Dallas. Nala is an alert and mindful pup who loves to play with her toys and lounge in her spots. She is timid at first but gets along with all animals. Nala likes to cuddle up with her humans, she is super affectionate. She loves to be hugged and when you pet and scratch her stomach and back. An ideal home for Nala would be one with kids and people who can dedicate time to her. She does suffer from separation anxiety, so she definitely needs people around her. Nala is mainly an inside dog, but she enjoys walks (especially the park). She is fantastic inside the house. She is crate/leash/house trained, and knows basic commands as well. Sitting, laying down, staying in a specific spot. She is one smart pup! She loves riding in the car as long as someone is close to her. And she is a sucker for treats, who isnâ&#194&#128&#194&#153t! This beautiful and lovable pup is deserving of the perfect forever home. Could it be with you?
