After months of good food, good care, and love, he is  happy, roly-poly, playful, and ready to find his forever home!  Charlie loves to play with his doggy foster siblings and cuddling with his foster mom! He is still shy around new people, but is working on his socialization! He has had all of his puppy shots, has been microchipped, is on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and will be neutered soon! Story
Wally VI is a sweet and gentle teenage male pup who is finally living his best life indoors! He was found living in the woods behind the Oak Cliff Walmart, Wally was understandably shy and skittish around humans at first. But with lots of patience, love, and training, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s come so far â&#194&#128&#194&#148 slowly learning to trust and embracing life indoors. Wally is truly every-creature-friendly â&#194&#128&#194&#148 dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, you name it! He loves playing with toys and tug-of-war (his absolute favorite), chasing sticks, and exploring the world around him. When heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s not busy being goofy and playful, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s happily snoozing or cuddling up with his people. He thrives when he has a confident dog friend to play and socialize with â&#194&#128&#194&#148 having a furry buddy helps him feel secure and happy as he continues adjusting to his new life. While Wally thrives on play and fun, he also values his space. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153d do best in a home with kids who understand how to respect a dogâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s boundaries and space. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s come a long way in building trust, and with the right kind of patience and understanding, heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll keep blooming into the confident, joyful pup heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s shown to be. Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s very food motivated, and sure loves his snacks! Heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153s crate trained, potty trained, and always hopeful youâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll share your last bite (heâ&#194&#128&#194&#153ll pull out the full puppy eyes for it â&#194&#128&#194&#148 and honestly, who could blame him?). Sharing snacks was one of the first ways he learned to trust, so mealtime still holds a special place in his heart. Despite his rough start in life, he is a resilient, silly, and sweet and loving pup who is ready to bring endless joy and laughter to his forever family. Story
You have never met a happier dog than Nutmeg! Nothing can get her down! No matter what happens, she's always there with wags and kisses to let you know that life isn't so bad! As long as Nutmeg has her humans by her side, she's ready to face anything life throws at her. Nutmeg was dumped in the woods of rural East Texas. Fortunately, she found her way to a Dallas Pets Alive foster family, and she's been living the good life ever since. She's overjoyed to have all the food, toys, and attention she could possibly want. Now that she's inside with humans most of the time, she's been learning her manners and the rules. She's now potty-trained and has started learning some basic commands. She sometimes gets a little mouthy when she wants to play, but she's learning that that's not allowed. She's become a champion bedtime buddy; even at 47 pounds, she cuddles without stealing too much space on the bed. This girl is still pretty young, only about a 1.5 years old (as of February 2026), so she still has lots of puppy energy. She would do best in an active household, especially one with slightly older children and/or other large dogs. She would probably make for a fabulous running buddy, too. Nutmeg does well with both cats and dogs. Her play style with other pups is extremely rambunctious, though, so another energetic dog, particularly one who likes to wrestle, would be her best match. Nutmeg is a true unicorn dog. She's always happy and loves everyone. She's outgoing, and although she's still learning her manners and obedience commands, she very much wants to please her humans, so she's easy to train. And she has the absolute cutest ears in the world! She's the full package. She's ready to bring her joy and silliness into your family now. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Nutmeg, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. Story
Meet the strong, mighty loving pup, Shasta. She turned 1 year old in February, weighs 69 lbs., and is a Boxer mix with a unique brindle coat. Shasta was rescued under a church with her five siblings and her mother at just a few weeks old. Shasta is a very powerful and bossy pup who still plays well with her siblings. Shasta loves playing with other dogs, showing them love and affection. She has not been around cats. She currently resides with her mother, two siblings and a Lab. Shasta is a very clever pup! She enjoys jogs, and playing catch. She also loves good car rides and the great outdoors. An ideal home for Shasta would be one that is safe and comfortable where she will receive plenty of love, affection and training. Because she is a pup, would love to put her in an environment with a family that has children, if possible, but not a requirement. Shasta is partially crate trained with no issues sleeping or playing in one. However, she does not potty inside, as she will bark to inform you when she needs to go. Shasta will need continued training on a leash and basic commands. Shasta has received the following vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP. She is microchipped and spayed. Reason for rehoming: Shasta is currently under temporary care by her rescue family who are unable to keep her permanently. This super affectionate pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Apply to adopt Shasta today! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Shasta Gail, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org. As much as she loves playtime with others, she loves relaxing, cuddling, kisses and belly rubs. She loves riding in the car and taking trips. An ideal home for Shelby would be one that is safe and comfortable where she will receive plenty of love, and affection. Shelby is crate trained with no issues sleeping in one. However, she does not potty inside, as she will bark to inform you when she needs to go. Shelby has received the following vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, One round of DHPP. She is microchipped and will be spayed 06/17/2025. Reason for rehoming: Shelby is currently under temporary care by her rescue family who are unable to keep her permanently. This devoting and caring dog is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you? Story
Meet this playful pup, Sheldon Duke. He turned 1 year old in February, weighs 68 lbs., and is a Boxer mix with a smooth white coat, unique spots, and floppy ears. Sheldon was rescued under a church with his five siblings and his mother at just a few weeks old. Sheldon is a very energetic, and affectionate pup who loves to cuddle and looks forward to daily belly rubs. Sheldon gets along with dogs, has not been around cats. He currently lives with his mom, two siblings and a Lab. Sheldon loves to use toys to attract other dogs to play with him. An ideal home for Sheldon would be one that is safe and comfortable where he will receive plenty of love, affection and training. He is one intelligent pup! He loves a good car ride and loves the outdoors. Because he is a pup, would love to put him in an environment with a family that has children, if possible, but not required. Sheldon is partially crate trained with no issues sleeping or playing in one. However, he does not potty inside as he will bark to inform you if he needs to go. Sheldon will need continued training on a leash and basic commands. Sheldon has received the following vaccinations: Rabies, Bordetella, DHPP. He is microchipped and neutered. Reason for rehoming: Sheldon is currently under temporary care by his rescue family who are unable to keep him permanently. This bubbly pup is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you?
