You have never met a happier dog than Nutmeg! Nothing can get her down! No matter what happens, she's always there with wags and kisses to let you know that life isn't so bad! As long as Nutmeg has her humans by her side, she's ready to face anything life throws at her. Nutmeg was dumped in the woods of rural East Texas. Fortunately, she found her way to a Dallas Pets Alive foster family, and she's been living the good life ever since. She's overjoyed to have all the food, toys, and attention she could possibly want. Now that she's inside with humans most of the time, she's been learning her manners and the rules. She's now potty-trained and has started learning some basic commands. She sometimes gets a little mouthy when she wants to play, but she's learning that that's not allowed. She's become a champion bedtime buddy; even at 47 pounds, she cuddles without stealing too much space on the bed. This girl is still pretty young, only about a 1.5 years old (as of February 2026), so she still has lots of puppy energy. She would do best in an active household, especially one with slightly older children and/or other large dogs. She would probably make for a fabulous running buddy, too. Nutmeg does well with both cats and dogs. Her play style with other pups is extremely rambunctious, though, so another energetic dog, particularly one who likes to wrestle, would be her best match. Nutmeg is a true unicorn dog. She's always happy and loves everyone. She's outgoing, and although she's still learning her manners and obedience commands, she very much wants to please her humans, so she's easy to train. And she has the absolute cutest ears in the world! She's the full package.
