Ivy is doing so well after recovering from mastitis! She was spayed last week, and we also had to make the medical decision to dock her tail due to severe “happy tail” and deterioration at the end. She’s just such a happy, grateful girl that her tail never stops wagging, and unfortunately it wouldn’t heal properly. She’s feeling great now! She even got to briefly see her baby, Rowan, the other day. Ivy is 3 years old, weighs 47.2 lbs, and we believe she’s an American Pit Bull Terrier mix. She is both kennel trained and potty trained. She loves playing with her canine foster siblings and would thrive in a home with another dog. She’s very curious about the resident house cat, but hasn’t gotten close enough for a proper “boop” just yet. This sweet girl is ready to find her forever family! Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority.
